I know its 4 years later but thats how long its been in my favorites list, this video is awesome! I still watch it over and over. God bless you and your family August and Merry Christmas!
OVER AND ABOVE BADASS! August and team: That was so far away the best edited and played rigging video I've seen in a long time! Watching the Humboldt slap, the slow motion, the care in which every camera was set, the in-your- face exact rig tie points... the drone footage, the transition from ballet music to uni-bomber music... Dudes:... THANK YOU! If there was a way to donate and help pay it forward for all that you've given me, I would. Request a Pay Pal or Donate Button please.
This has to be one of the best tree videos I have ever seen. I have watched it 10x & still want to watch it again😂👍 Wish that Joe would of explained the rope layout on the ground. So many little details, & I feel like I see something new everytime i watch it. Guess I'll just watch it 10 more times, & try to figure it out myself STAY SAFE
Keep being inspired to evolve to deal with bigger dismantles with this sort of skill/ease. A massive reason is these videos. Thanks August and team...and Reg.
I love these videos, and have learned so many new techniques through them. Keep the great content coming August. Maybe a Hunicke /Coates collaboration soon eh!? 😉
Wow!!😃 everything about that video seemed perfect!! Watching it the fourth time was just as suspenseful as the first!!! Epic to say the least! Not only was your video editing creative (maestro) also hats off to the guys on the ground running the ropes the Vermeer and the drone controls!! Awesome job guys wish I could’ve been a part of that production...wait a second did u make this commercial for the super bowl! 😁
Watching this for the second time August, and I already know I'll need to watch it a few more times. Amazing editing skills, not to mention bad ass work. Wish I could spend a few days working with you guys.
This is such a great video!! Is there anyway that you could break down the set up? What the ropes look like at the bottom and how tour were running them. An in depth break down of what was going on would be phenomenal. Always great content!!!
Nice video. I've been using one of those double bollard friction devices for a while groundying for someone but have never seen it used to do anything which couldn't be done by something smaller. There's a lot of kit and knowledge I don't yet have going on here!
yeah, I thought at the mention of Reg, August and Team were going to take that as a challenge and *really* put it into high gear! :) ....(which I guess they did with that heavy duty rigging equipment, right?).
what a great video! you inspired me to continue this line of work man! wish i can be as awesome as you! royal tree services lac la biche, ab representing
4:30 it's like the tree's dancing because it's so happy it's coming down! "Oh I've been standing here so tall for so long just waiting for a break,THANK YOU tree man!" Hahaha
Have to agree with some of the comments below ... that was a good video ..Some great kit on the market these days ...Oh and one last thing jeeez your beard grows quick in your neck of the woods .
My oldest brother passed away this year. He built and operated Applegate golf course in Grants Pass Oregon. I think he would've liked you Monkey Bevers.
Does the "When you need it stopped" video still exist? I remember the big wood being snatched out in a short action packed video, can't seem to find it anymore.
Great job August! And the team too! Where ca we get one of the stein RCW 3002? Because we already check with the three major retailers that we know and nothing.
Iam highly appreciate the videos an your skills and knowledge. I've been working at putting together my rigging for about 5 years as I gain experience in in my skills and experience in rigging! What it the double rings rigging made up of, is it two double ring slings?
LOL that grin @2:27 is great, dude you rocked that tree this is one of my favorite videos of yours (have watched dozens) Never thought consciously about it but upon seeing that I suspect I do the same (suspect many do!) when doing something awesome, that thing was huge you just swung that sucker like it was nothing!! On to that though: ****WHAT CORDAGE ARE YOU LOWERING THOSE WITH??**** Is it 3/4" Polydyne? Guessing based on color&the Yale spool (and what you're doing with it, as Polydyne seems one of the strongest double-braids out there..) but would LOVE to know, am going to crawl the 200 comments to see if it's come up already but figured to ask because I've got my Safebloc (no sling made yet) and my 3-ringed, 3/4" sling but I still haven't chosen what line I'm going to use with them and 5/8", or 3/4", Polydyne was right at the top of my list so if that's what you used here I'd be 100% sold on it (their Blue Moon will forever be my go-to climb line, am rarely as impressed with a product as with Blue Moon's performance, and Re Polydyne the #'s are insane off the charts their 5/8" is as strong as most others' 3/4"'s!!) Thanks for the vid, as always :D
Older video but what's the white powder? Bleed stop for pitch? I just did my first White pine and the pine pitch is horrendous! But I learned something, if you're going to work on pine trees, cut them down the same day 🤣
@@AugustHunickethe little things that make life easier. Listening to a lot of videos lately, all you guys are inspirational. Just good flowing hard work

Another awesome job August and tha boys! You guys are elite arborists, always a treat and informative to watch.
Big tree, difficult situation, ingenious work, nerves of steel, incredible camera postions, brilliant pictures ... in one word: marvelous!

That shock load was incredible for you August, that was some weight going over the edge & the REG handled it well, your the rigging masters.
Keep being inspired to evolve to deal with bigger dismantles with this sort of skill/ease. A massive reason is these videos. Thanks August and team...and Reg.
Solid music choice; not sure if I should have tears of sadness or joy. Kinda feel like I’m watching the titanic of tree climbing.
AND I LOVE IT!
Daner winde hahaha
Still my one of my favorite videos. It’s like metal core but with trees.
Wow! That was ART! The felling and the filming!
WoW that video work was awesome. Love watching a man who knows what he's doing. This is an epic video, August!
I love these videos, and have learned so many new techniques through them. Keep the great content coming August. Maybe a Hunicke /Coates collaboration soon eh!? 😉

Awesome art of treework right here! "My cousin is landscaper too" August rolls his eyes and say: "Yeahh" ;D

Great video August, always enjoy the creative filming. God bless, stay safe out there!

that blue bull rope looks heaps gnarly might have to upgrade our lowering rope haha
You guys out did yourselves! Amazing!
Older video but what's the white powder? Bleed stop for pitch? I just did my first White pine and the pine pitch is horrendous! But I learned something, if you're going to work on pine trees, cut them down the same day 🤣
Ya just flour, to try to keep the pitch off of my nice ropes and rigging gear. One day is best yes.
