      What happened??? Was it tree related? I lost 5 months of work about 12 years ago, after falling 46 feet, and when I went up in that first tree back, it was honestly pretty unsettling...anyways, I hope you heal as much as possible, and have much success!

    • @john.massing
      @john.massing Месяц назад +1

      @samuelluria4744 Thanks 🙏 I was working with a knuckle boom crane with a grapple saw. It was grabbing the limbs and I was in the tree cutting. From what I hear it grabbed one, I cut it and moved away, and as the piece was leaving it was dropped and ricocheted through the tree and hit me. I don't remember any of it. 🤷 I am 7 weeks into recovery with at least 7 to go. I plan to get back at it as soon as I can 🙌

    I started out with a shembiner because it was cheap and getting started is expensive. I've since tried the kilo and the transporter, don't like the gates on either one, so I use the shembiner for my saw, and the kilo to hang slings or whatever else I'll only use once or twice in a tree. Definitely won't be trying the Notch one after watching this. Thanks August!

    @24:50 My Oregon chain does the same stuff, 355T rips the small stuff but when I start using more of the bar it can be annoyingly aggressive. I made the mistake of filing the rakers on one and that chain may go in the scrap pile.

    Hey August. I use DMM Mega Vault, it has an option to lock the gate in an open position. It works perfectly. I don't have to zip tie it so you can close the gate back if needed. If i want to lock the gate so the branches dont snap in i use a short piece of watering hose which is always on and you just slide it in the right position to lock.

    Is there a guilty of treeson video that August is referencing? I’d really like to see Jacob Roger’s solution as I’m having the same issue with my 540xp mkIII

    How does the Stihl battery saw compare to those two? I have one and the battery life is way to short.

    We are here with you. You don’t make long videos like you used to. I’m a long video type of guy that sits here listening to you talk as if I’m up there with you. To be honest I haven’t watched a lot of the short ones you make lately. I love my Monkey Beaver phone case btw because there will be times I’m gonna climb when nobody’s around. Also I can strap it on the handlebars of my dirtbike

      Actually I’m gonna send the link to a few of my riding buddy’s. Unfortunately here in NY were not aloud to ride ANYWHERE anymore. It’s ridiculous!! We have lots of trails here but “we ruin the environment”. Then they wonder why the kids ride on the streets these days because they’re not aloud to chase them. In the woods they set up traps and have drones in case you run. I hate it here now! My grandson that’s 7 rides very good and I can’t take him to all the miles of awesome trails we rode in growing up because they will definitely impound them on us. My friend took his son to the woods responsibly with helmets and they took them. He said his son cried his 8 year old eyes out and the cops didn’t give a shit! They had to follow them out of the woods so they could impound them! Disgusting! Good old blue state is what it is!!

    I have a husky 540 Mark III it loosens the chain all the time I think because the tensioners on the side cover sthil as you know is built into the side the case it's way better
