I got a sample of Starlight today, and I watched/listened to this as I was testing. When you mentioned coffe/chocolate I could totally smell it, but didn’t reliaze it on my own. Thanks for that! I think this is a gorgeus fragrance - and it’s unlike everything of what I have in my collection with that heavy cardamom feel. Love it!

I am burly bearded guy and I love playing around with floral fragrances because it takes the edge off my vibe. It creates yen and yang dichotomy and 400 is my favorite white floral fragrance…period.
More to add to the list! 🤣 I actually received a sample of 400 from Xerjoff when I purchased Mefisto Gentiluomo (one of my absolute favorites). At first I thought it was way too feminine. Then I received a sample of Honor Woman by Amouage which is also a white floral and extremely feminine (obviously as it’s marketed to women) but I absolutely loved it on me. I got out my sample of 400 again and loved how it has those beautiful white floral notes but as you mention there is something is the base that really pulls it together and thought it was a nice balance (especially compared to the ultra feminine Honor Woman). Hearing you talk about it gives me the confidence to add this to the full bottle needed list. Absolutely stunning.
I love that you compared Honour Woman with 400. My wife owns and loves Honour Woman; and yet there’s a distinct difference with this fragrance and 400. Where Honour Woman is distinctly feminine leaning; 400 still posses elements that a man can enjoy and retain a masculine edge to this perfume….incredible composition to this fragrance. I blind bought 400 🙈, after reading and watching practically every review on it, of course 😅. While I adore Naxos, I find it’s too masculine-leaning for me to wear. 400 has quickly become one of my favorite fragrances of all time. You’re the only one that has mentioned tuberose and I totally get it! I also agree that 400 is down the middle unisex - it’s just an amazing scent and I think very versatile. Thanks for another great video. I enjoy listening to you and appreciate that you don’t shy away from feminine-leaning fragrances.

Great review!I just got starlight in the mail yesterday and I did sample it a few weeks ago. Its very spicy and warming and yet sparkly and bright at the same time making it quite versatile in my opinion, It’s the best damn thing I’ve smelled from Xerjoff thus far, aside from “NIO”! I had 400 from the JTC collection a while ago. I didn’t sample before getting a full bottle and definitely regret it! I hated the fragrance and sold it on eBay! It was sickeningly sweet

Thank you for your reviews and breakdown of these amazing fragrances. I tried to love starlight, and I am sure it is a masterpiece. It's just that it was not meant for me. On my skin smell like the scent you get when you put on clothes that you washed but didn't dry out all the way. Again, I bet it is amazing, but it was just not made for me. @TheNicheFragranceCollector That's what I was thinking as well. However, I have cardamom fragrances, and I love them! The only option for me would be the almond element and how this is reacting on my skin.

Early on Xerjoff was placing on their website that it was a "Milky Amber" but these days it just says Amber....but it does have a creaminess (be it almond or something else)...so yes, maybe this is what's creating that unique 'damp' smell that you're detecting.....maybe?? But the bottomline; it doesn't work!!😣
@TheNicheFragranceCollector UPDATE: So I was able to give a 3rd chance to this fragrance (because the 3rd is the charm, right?). I sprayed it one more time on my skin and on my clothes, and let me tell you, everything was different this time, and it was for the best! The scent was fresh, warm, spicy, cozy, and the right amount of sweetness. It was amazing!! Now I'm willing to buy a bottle this December, and wear it for the holidays! Thank you so much!!! ☺️

No mention of the Bergamot, which is the top note along with Cardamom according to Xerjoff themselves? Also, according to Xerjoff, the middle notes: almond, cinnamon and clove. Base notes: Amber and Cedar Wood. Milk?

I must admit I'm batting a thousand when it comes to blind buys however I don't do it often for obvious reasons ; )
They say that everything in life if about the right timing😎 I would recommend that you give 400 it’s own ‘airtime’….this one is really impressive but I wouldn’t recommend that you clutter this fragrance with other perfumes. Let this one play out for a day on your skin…you’ll be impressed. And yes, when it comes to Naxos, this is almost a no brained….easy wear fragrance with massive appeal; yet totally unique. I’m glad that you’re exploring the Xerjoff range, I really feel that they over deliver on their perfumes (the complex evolution, the longevity on skin and unique scent profile….big love) Always great to hear from you my friend

Yes, the florals (and I believe tuberose) doesn't make it lean feminine....but it smells awesome🧡 Interesting that you're leaning towards Delina as this too leans feminine...do you find that too?

What about coquetry? If we deconstruct every social artifacts than we go back to animal kingdom. Or we need to make new social constructs which brings us back to what we have now. I believe that there are feminine, masculine and unisex perfumes. It is possible to have only unisex releases in the future - not because of the marketing, but due to blending of ingredients and raw materials choice. However, it's more likely we will have another cycle of highly sex-polarized releases before the Great Unisexification...))
Erba Pura, Nio, Cruz Del Sur 2, Naxos, Renaissance,Alexandria 2 are so good. I like More Than Words on the opening it's beautiful ! But don't like the dry down. It goes more old lady like 😕 No offense to older woman, just saying.

Between the choice of Amouage or Xerjoff, I would encourage Xerjoff. Amouage can sometimes have a tricky love, because of the incense notes that are in most of these fragrance. Whereas with Xerjoff you’ll find easy love with most of the fragrances in the collection. Good luck my friend!
It is feminine leaning because of the florals and soft amber. However, I love wearing it and as a winter fragrance there is none better♥️ My recommendation is test on skin first, and see how it performs for you… Good luck 💫

Cardamom is a nice note. Sweetly Known by Kerosene will blow your socks off. I do dig booth Starlight and 400.

Correct about the milky quality of starlight but on Xerjoffs page starlight opens with bergamont and cardamom.
