yes. In countries with bad security. These trucks are vulnerable to fuel theft. Anyone can steal fuel by opening the fuel tank cap and using a hand pump. My father drove one such truck in the past and one night his fuel was stolen from someone. My father said he had filled half the tank the day before (30 liters of diesel) and the next morning the fuel tank needle was pointing towards E. :( Many fuel thieves steal to fill their own cars, not to resell.
Even locked the tank is a rather thin metal can, you can pierce it with pretty much anything and still steal the fuel. Honestly I'd just use some random bucket to feed the engine and then take it home with me
@@LeoMkII Oh, that's a driver's nightmare! At least conscientious fuel thieves won't poke holes in them because they know how annoying it is to fix a fuel tank. These types of trucks have batteries on the opposite side of the fuel tank, and they are also stolen... Also, if they have tools, thieves will go for the spare tire under the chassis. In my country's statistics published in the past, the most stolen vehicles were not luxury cars, but simple Japanese trucks from the 1970s to 1990s. Thieves export stolen trucks to poor countries. One day, my father forgot to take the key out of the key box and locked the door. He was able to open the door by putting a shoelace through the crack in the window, hooking it around the lock knob, and pulling it. It took a long time to get the string through the lock knob, but he didn't have to call a locksmith. It's funny how trucks are less secure than mopeds. At least mopeds can lock the seats with a key!
Trucks of this size are exclusively manual Even the modern "automatic" ones are just automated manual transmissions. A torque converter automatic gearbox is just not strong enough for these kinds of applications
i reckon most african countries are rich in minerals but why most of their people lives in insane poverty? why didn’t they have better infrastructure? where did all the money goes?
I can understand the condition of almost everything, but oh my god that steering play...
Incredible that he can still walk. But of course the engine is Toyota. 💪💪💪
Daihatsu been collection by Toyota, you should go to wiki LOL
Toyota and Daihatsu don't share engine, the 1.5L engine block is not even the same. Toyota do make more power tho
@@GF-mf7ml The 1.3 K3VE Daihatsu engine has been rebadged 2SZ-FE, they are almost identical
2.7 petrol hilux engine
made to last forever !!!! a modern truck will be full of Dash Lights after 70K KM 😂 and require specialized computer service 🤖😂
Steering wheel be like: 🙃
We need more of this instead of electric toy cars🇹🇷
This is a real environment friendly car, not a disposable nowadays shitshow
All cars must last over 200,000 miles or 15 years full warranty. These automakers will suddenly make quality cars.
With the gas cap is being padlocked means that some of criminals there are syphoning and reselling it again?

Of course it is a manual transmission! Last much longer than automatic!

It’s 1985~1995 3rd generation of Daihastu delta.
Entre 2005 - 2010

En Algérie ils sont entre 2005 -2010

that volvo truck at the beginning is sick
How far is he going with such little fuel.

At least fix the mirror. Seemed dangerous crossing lanes.
But bravo for using old vehicle, instead of discarding.....Save our planet
Is car insurance mandatory in these places? If not, how do people sort out accident coverage?
Man, that gearbox must be really tired 😂 ..awesome video. That engine will go forever. Cheers from Brasil
@6:31. Another Sienna V6 with a blown head gasket like the one you reviewed lol

Wheel alignment seems a bit off
Why cant they fill up the tank instead of using a p@ss pot?
Almost as reliable as a 90's Mercedes
In questi video tutti i motori girano senza filtro aria!!
Steering wheel is just for looks, that thing can drive down the road by itself!!! 💪🏼
250k km wow 😵
Jesus Christ there isn't one part on that car that I would call in good condition
That engine looks like Toyota rz series
And what about lebanon
