Thank you for making this video. I have a Grand Caravan SXT and I ended up changing to the RT/GT rear springs for towing our pop up. I should have measured ride height like you did. It did make a difference. I'm still considering the 35% springs though. This great thank you so much.
The first side the shock on the other side was holding you up. You were fighting it when trying to pull down.
I work in a spring shop in ottawa.
Never done a caravan but the rams are nice and quick to do
Thank you for this tip!
Scott, absolutely priceless info, Sadly the prices are just ridiculous for these
springs. really wish that Chrysler would have stayed with leaf springs for these vehicles.

Great work.
Hey Scott, when I saw this particular video from Pakistan, I thought of you.
The name is: *You've never seen Men Build a Truck without a Leaf Spring | Without Any Doubt*
The first minute is the TL:DR version of how they did this.
The rest of the video is the actual process.
Nice work
Can you make a set of 2 inch lowering springs for these vans...
Try to video about the leaf spring suspension some caravans have
I might have to. The leaf spring suspension and I have a history. I broke my finger working on one of them.
@@simcoespring story time video
How about for the front springs
bottom bolt is held on by the force of god. 2 hours into that damn thing. when I'd hit the head the nut would spin very slowly, if I'd hold the nut with a wrench - nothing. I think my impact is just not strong enough and my air impact (first time using it) isn't cutting it either. need to get a dewalt dc900
dc900 cracked it easily 😁
I'd like to know how the ride quality is. How much stiffer it feels.
Do you have a similar product for a 2010 Grand Caravan ?
I believe they where leaf springs back then. that is a more complex repair. we have made extra leaves for them in the past, but requires custom fabrication.
Will heavier coils increase towing capacity?
When you say variable what does it mean? And i saw some progressive? Whoch is better for comfort? I seldom haul heavy stuff
variable rate and progressive rate is the same thing. two terms to describe the same type of coil spring. they are the best for more capacity. I would recommend the HD for normal use. XHD is a big lift for permanent loads.
What about shocks ?
Are they have to be extended??
if you lift a vehicle at the rear about 1.5" then your shocks will hook up just perfectly fine. Once you go past that, we don't know. each vehicle is different. I would never assume a shock would hook up if you lift it 2.5" tall. I would normally use those for vehicles that have a permanent load, and are already sitting low to begin with.
Will this fit my 2013 town and country
yes, the town and country is just a trim level, it isn't a different vehicle. fits 2011-2020
@simcoespring thank you. I bought the HD car sits abit high at the rear weird feeling though but suv kinda feel. Would you know if they have front spring cant seem to find it. Front now feels soft compare to rear
So what can we do to lift the front? I like to do it. Thanks
That is a great question I don't have an answer to.
@@simcoespring Could a guy could go 1½-2 with out major surgery. Custom block and longer studs id do mine needs struts in the front anyhow & i want the body up little more . It make a nice kit to sell. No load it would be level and look awsome! I would proto type one see if will handle it off road that what my van dose. I could fit Dakota rims and tire on it possibly..
I just installed monroe quick struts after 131k miles and went from roughly 30 inch height to 30 and 7/8's. The monroe spring is slightly thinner in gauge and I mean slightly but it has one extra spring wind ie 5 vs 6 winds on the spring. That's on a 17. My 2010 springs were definitely a much thinner gauge than the Monroe replacement when I did those years ago. Not much more you can do
would this work on a 2012?
yes, I changed the video name to show the 2011-2020 range of years.
Thanks for the help
