- It finally works!
It was difficult to find the right combination of hardware and software, but in the end I managed to get this vertical plotter to work quite quickly and easily.
Unfortunately, many software are not up to date and therefore it was necessary to research and try, what do you think, do you like it?

Ci ho provato anche io tre anni fa, da un progetto di elettronica in, con una scheda r.a.m.p.s 1.4 , mi sono arreso per un problema software ma adesso mi hai fatto tornare la voglia di ritrovarci 🤟👍
Guarda, ci son diventato matto, proprio con la ramps1.4
L'ho abbandonata ed ho provato con la adafruit motorshield v1. Ha un interfaccia fatta con Processing, ma alla fine ne son saltato fuori!!!!

Nice! Got mine up and running. Vectors come out nicely, but I cant see no density preview. Do you or someone else happen to have any clue why? Tried to search all over internet...

stavo cercando anche io di creare con mio figlio una versione personalizzata ma sto avendo dei problemi con il far funzionare gli stepper. La mia configurazione prevede un Arduino Uno ed una CNC Shield v3. Processing 2.2.1 funziona, riesco a fare run del polargraphcontroller ed 'a farlo parlare' con Arduino (Polargraph Ready (Uno) è verde in alto). L'unico problema è che mentre il servo riesco a farlo muovere, gli stepper sono completamente fermi e non eseguono il codice mentre scorre sulla dx sul prompt. Nel polargraph_server_a1.ino, nella sezione 3. ho scommentato le righe #define SERIAL_STEPPER_DRIVERS dato che dovrei ricadere nella opzione 'discrete stepper drivers' e, corrispondentemente, nel file configuration.ino ho settato:

#define MOTOR_A_ENABLE_PIN 8
#define MOTOR_A_STEP_PIN 2
#define MOTOR_A_DIR_PIN 5

Questi risultano corretti se uso un semplice sketch di Arduino per testare gli stepper. Questo è confermato anche dalla mappa dei pin nella CNC Shield. Ha idea di cosa può mancare? Se girassero gli stepper direi che va tutto.

12v 2amps should work. You can use Nema17 stepper motor
i set it up completely everything is working except the stepper motors. when i start the drawing only the servo moves but the stepper doesn't. The connections are perfect and also the steppers are good and in working condition ( i have checked). Please provide solution for it.

Where can i find that config. properties.txt file? I dont have this.

The first time you configure the plotter You can Save Your configuration.
So the next time you will use the plotter You can resume your configuration.
