nice review - your gimbal video shots were so steady! no sign at all of footsteps up and down movement. Stabilised in post or are you a pro ninja? I love how the wide angle creates a feeling of space with interiors. It looks like a great real estate lens. I am tempted to go for one with my S5. But then there is the Laowa 12 zero D ... its a very confusing product line up!
a lot of ninja walk practice - with this wide focal length you don't really need to stabilise the footage in post. There is too many very similar to each other Laowa lenses available - I think 15mm was the best out of three that I have tested
Hi, I am looking for an ND filter that would fit on the lens. Which one are you using? I just got the Tiffen VND in 62mm but the lens hood makes it impossible to set it on as the front thread diameter is too wide. I'm in a hurry so an answer would be much appreciated!! Thanks 🙏🏻
yes, it is an odd one. It is 62mm filter thread but it has to have a small frame around the glass to fit inside the hood of this lens. I didn't use any filter while testing this lens 2 years ago
I do like very much the Laowa lenses but I think these last models are a little bit overpriced for fully manual lenses. Just as a point of comparison, I can get 2 Meike cine lenses MFT for this price point.
Would you feel comfortable to shoot with manual focus ultra wide angle lens if someone was paying you for the photos/video?
Yes, all day everyday
InstaBlaster.
For someone that doesn’t like wide angle, these shots are fantastic!
Haha! I made myself to take these. Thanks dude!
you just helped me pull the trigger on this lens, thank you!
Glad I could help!
Thanks!!
Love your channel - just subbed!

@@PavSZ gretatninja technique! Some of the lenses are different but have similar degreee angle coverage - so confusing.!
Or you could pu the 9mm f5.6 in apsc mode on the S5 to get 4k at 50 at a pretty wide angle - so many options!
