    Can you use a bottle sanitizer in stead of boiling waiter ?

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk  8 месяцев назад +1

      I believe you can for the S12 Pro, S9 Pro, V1 & V2.
      The user manual for the M5 states 'Do not sterilize pump parts in a microwave or UV sterilizer.'

    Can I but it in dr.browns sterilizing machine?

      I assume you are referring to the Momcozy M5, and the recommendation is not to use a heat sterilize system with it, but rather boil. That said I have not used a sterilizing machine with it, if you decide to test it out, I'd love to know how it goes :)

    Can I soak in Milton solution or any sterilizing liquid instead?

      Great question! Yes, that is also suitable especially if you don't have access to potable water.

    As another option for sterilizing parts (those that are safe to sterilize in the microwave specifically), if you own a pressure cooker, 15 minutes under high pressure is also a very effective way to sterilize almost anything. There has been a fair bit written about smaller labs without access to an autoclave using pressure cookers to sterilize their tools.

      It’s not recommended to use to the microwave to sterilize any of the parts

      @@Jessicasandstreetsniffle thanks for the insight! Just as a note you can use the Momcozy Microwave Steam Sterilizer Bags for Momcozy pumps, except for the M5.

      Thanks for asking! The CDC currently recommends you wash and clean your pump after each use and sterilize at least once a day. Hope that helps 😊 www.cdc.gov/hygiene/childcare/breast-pump.html

    How often should we sterilize the M5?

      Thanks for asking! Ideally you will clean and dry after each use and sanitize daily.
