Despite disagreeing with nearly everything you said, I can't deny this was a very well articulated and put together video, nice work. Also I'd reccomend diving into Yung Lean, Thaiboy, and Whitearmor if you like the instrumentals but can't tolerate Bladee's vocals 👍
Also a reason that icedancer is so badly mixed (I think it’s genius) is because it’s supposed to be a mixtape//lots of OLD ripsquad beats (ALSO cartier god intermission has a terrible limiter because that’s cartier gods whole style ,, he is a very very underground rapper who does all his mixing himself)
Same lol. That's the thing with Bladee/DG in general, it's a very acquired taste and a polarizing sound overall. Used to think it was garbage, now I'm addicted and can't get enough of it.

I think the reason for this is that his music is for specific type of people. For people who value love, friendship, beauty, devotion, creativity, happiness and spirituality. It's clear for me that you are not this type of person and it's fine. But you have to understand that for us Bladee's art is something else, something more than music. I've never felt so emotionally connected with a person that I've never even met, yet his music helped me to overcome severe depression. His transition from a sad teenager to who he is now is a solid motivation to all the lost and depressed people, he's giving us so much hope, you couldn't even imagine. To those who don't like his music, I just want to say that I feel truly sorry for you, because it's the best thing that ever happened to my life. Much love, peace.
glad you found value in it, lol I didn't so I guess that means I don't value "love, friendship, beauty, devotion, creativity, happiness and spirituality"

Even though i disagree with 90% of what you said it was a well-made and nicely put together video, keep it up :D
honestly mostly valid opinions, i do think he sounds like a parody of himself at times and that's just part of it but i think there's way way way more to crest than people are giving bladee credit for. it's his only album that has no shitty vocals or lyrics all of that's gone and the lyrics are about god life and spirituality with a sound that almost sounds like heaven itself, and i wouldn't really say it's rap either he kind of went into the direction you were actually talking about with this album just in his own way not really copying any other styles. it's his most recent album but i want to say it's a turning point for him his experimentation has always been a big part of it for me whether it sounds good or bad he's always trying new things in his music and i think that's a lot of the appeal.
Damnn you're wrong in almost every sentence you speak in this video, incredible. Still understand your opinion tho. I had very similar opinion on Red Light and some others tapes after first listen, but now Bladee is my favorite artist ever. Drain effect
its funny that every bladee fan in my comments hated his music and forced themselves to like it - if i don't like something than i usually just move on lol
@@SickyNudz forced? Nobody forced anyone. It's natural drain effect that his music gets better after time and that's beautiful. And I didn't hate it, I was like "meeh, whatever, it's not bad but not good, kinda mid" but now he's my favorite artist. So I suggest you giving him some time to grow on you.
I am a huge fan of Bladee, and even I dislike Red Light. It's so boring and I can't understand why the wast majority of Bladee fans are obsessed with it. My personal favorites are Crest, Icedancer and the newly released album Spiderr. Would you maybe review it?
@@SickyNudz no, i mean i understand that his vocals sound like shit, but they are still and always will be music to my ears, i understand what is considered to be good music and what it takes to have a quality sound, but bladees fucked up vocals are absolutely lovely and always will be
Man I understand your point of view, but I think you roast him too much for what he is trying to achieve, people are not "weird" for listening to this, heck some people listen to just plain white noise and enjoy it. Art is very subjective, and Bladee as a whole does lots of art through his t shirts, paintings, grafitti, fashion, writing and music, which is the main part. You just have to understand his whole persona and way of being and singing, and most fans don't force themselves to listen, I don't think a real fan could say that (for example, I liked some Bladee songs at the first listen, others took me a while to understand , even lyrically because of the abundance of references). Also, most producers appreciate Whitearmor's beats a LOT, one of the most influential producer of today's beats, even big artists like Lil Uzi, Skrillex or Tyler give props to him so yeah, that's that
the instrumentals have their highs and lows, those are always the most captivating parts of bladee songs anyway so i'm with ya on that one - tbh tho i still stand by the viewpoint that bladee's singing is the worst part of his art. Don't let me stop you from enjoying it, that being said I've listened to all of it and still am not a fan.
Criticizing a negative bladee review is difficult, simply because the elements of the music that non-bladee fans most dislike are the parts that i love the most. the amateurish endearing vocals, the ethereal and pillowy production, the tongue-in-cheek but oftentimes spiritually interesting lyrics, etc. this guy misses the point so badly for some of these albums, yet i can't properly explain the flaws in the rationale behind each individual complaint, because what he's saying is technically correct, i simply just dont agree that these elements of the music make it worse. i think it moreso boils down to a failure to understand and connect with the spirit and goal of the music itself. makes for a very frustrating watch. also E isn't a cloudrap album, its art pop.
