Those were in about 60 feet of water. They reeled them in fast is why they needed burped. If you take your time, usually you don't have to.

Aint a thing wrong with channel cats and the bank fishing is worry free. There's a lot of value to that. That's why I still bank fish a fair amount. Don't have to worry about breaking anything.
