Really appreciate tips you give. I'd be so grateful for one the size you guys wouldn't even call it more than bait. I've never caught anything in California water anywhere as nice as the ones you toss back. It's so nice to do a trip with you. I stay warm and comfortable and still get the joy of the catch. Thank you for your kindness in helping us come along. Stay safe.
Always loved catfishing in the winter here in Arkansas, especially with so few other cat anglers out and about. Down size my baits some as well but do have to throw one supersized. Have noticed the bites are slightly less aggressive in colder water, too. Age and life are keeping me behind on vids here, Spencer, but still following your journey. Good luck, and keep soakin’ those baits, my friend.
Took 2 days to watch this video. Other people don't realize how important this is. Had a great time watching. I got cold enough just watching i put on gloves. Stay safe.
I think my back started hurting for you when I saw that fish come up. Then you said it made your back stiffen up. LOL! Thanks for the tips. I am a newby so I have only fished with worms and chicken. I see what you mean - big baits can give you big fish. WOW! Next time I will try cut bait and see if I get lucky. Keep the videos coming. Thank you - it was a fun trip with you.
Glad you enjoyed it man. Your average fisb size will definitely be bigger with cutbait. Probably catch more fish too. Hope you find some good ones man!
@@RiverCertified I get plenty out of your vids. We fish in different hemispheres for different species but the fundamentals are the same - an expert is always worth listening to. Plus I enjoy seeing how you guys go about your work. Might even make my way to your neck of the woods one day.
Great video Spencer with some really nice fish. This one is a first in that I have never seen anyone catch 2 fish at the same time. I would love to catch some of the heavyweight 's you have caught. Never was one to fish in the Winter time but would like to try it at least once. You stay safe and God bless you and yours!!😊😊😊😊
Thank you for the boat tips at the start there. My dad gave his old boat about a year ago and im still learning stuff about it. I was afraid to take it out during winter because of that water expansion.
You bet. Just make sure you trim it all the way down and all the water runs out. Don't let it sit without a full tank of gas and even better make sure you run seafoam or stabil through it. If you live up north, it's a good idea to rewinterize it too.
Maybe stand up on your deck and leave the fish in the lower rear of the boat. That way your not lifting so high to get your weight on the fish. Great video as usual.
So if I had to choose only one friend to have… I can’t decide between you or Ella! Fishing, learning, and BS’ing with you would be awesome. Having Ella just call to say hello and hook up with fish. I mean how do you decide?? lol. Thanks for a great video!!
Hey Spencer, can you tell us the fishing locations you're fishing at the time of filming? Love your content too, lots of helpful tips and tricks. Tell Skip we all said hey. Lol
Thanks for another one Spencer. Please try bumping for Walters... Been watching you, Josh, and Murray for years catch those Walters, tried a scaled down version of a bumping rig and it's been the best winter fishing in years. Just like your threadfins bottom rigs but with a 6"-8" dropper for weight and a 3-4' 15lb leader, bead, and #2 hook. Even works well with Berkeley ripple shads... Please try!!! Thanks
@RiverCertified I haven't gotten any of your floating beads yet, I just use my large red or chart cat beads. I'm new to the whole Walter n sauger fishing, but my kids have gotten a 30" and a 33" Walter so far this year!!!!
I’ve fished that same bridge many times mainly in the winter and caught some nice blues, and I’ve always thought you could only have 3 lines in the water at this lake per person is that true?
Hey Spencer ….. I noticed ( I think ) your baits are above the hook(s). I learned from you to use sinker sliders so I can let more line out if I do not get a bite. What determines whether you use a sinker slider ( bait below the sinker ) or using baits above the sinker? Great video … Dan 👮🏻♂️
I have a mixture of medium heavy’s heavy and extra heavy that I used last year and I think I missed some of the softer bites so I made those my Sturgeon rods and got us some medium Madkats. Do you think that the heavier rods maybe we miss some of the softer bites or am I just missing em lol Thanks for the info.
That lady who you on the phone with didn't seem too impressed by you needing to call her back. Trust me, i know the feeling. That last fish looked like it's innerds were hanging out the backside. Keep making the vids!
Those are some cool shades. Shame $100+ sun glasses dont last much more than a year. And they're made in Malaysia. Would pay 200 if they lasted like oakley or maui jims, and were made in USA.
Always chunk a big bait, May not get eaten but ya never know. Is it just me that the last couple of times I was out in the cold the fish pretty much shut off at sunset?
Every time Ella calls you you get a nice fish. Hope I didn’t say her name wrong. Why don’t you take her on a catfish tournament? You might win first place like every time she calls you catch a big one
Sucks when waking up at 6am and freezing while hiking through the sloppy mud to the river bank and coming back with nothing the last few times. I'm ready for spring..It's forecast to snow here in South Alabama this week and be in the 20's just about every night. The north can have its weather back anytime.🧊

I appreciate the hell outta it
Absolutely. When Spencer drops a video, it makes my day and you already know it's gonna be good!

I really appreciate that. I'm glad you enjoy all that. I hope.one day it works out where you catch a fish like that, one way or another.

I appreciate it more than i can say. I'm glad you enjoyed this one and the rest. The heater makes a big difference i do promise that.
Hey it's Jake, man I really love your show, just writing to say how much I appreciate them and you.
I'm glad you enjoy the content Jake! Means a ton!
Awesome sauce! The most consistent YT fisherman ever.
Thanks a lot man! Glad you enjoy the videos.
Top notch as always. That double was pretty sweet. Thanks for sharing brother!! 👍🏾👊🏾✊🏾🙂💯
Appreciate the kind words, I had a blast filming that one!
That’s a dandy, my friend! Nice fish, what an awesome winter fishing day. Nice tips, as always. Thanks for sharing, Spencer!
Thanks, man! I really appreciate it! Fish like that don't come around often enough.
Nice to see a bunch of catching, great video Spencer!!!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

👍👍👍👍👍great 🎣video Spencer on a cold day be safe out there.
Appreciate the kind words, thanks for watching!
i like the big bait nice fish hope you had some nice fish on your trip to the james river
Thanks Jimmy. I always try to throw one big chunk as long as I have enough bait.

Man I have watched you from the beginning and I have learned so much from you
That's awesome to hear man. I appreciate you watching.
@ we should fish some time I’m in Missouri fish a lot dalton and Missouri River
Hasil gacir dari 𝐃𝐄𝐖𝐴𝐃𝘖𝐑𝘈bikin hari makin seru. Mantap banget!
Thanks for the inspiration and tips
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
Good day for sure. Need u a day like this on Tournament day
I was thinking the exact same thing haha. Thanks for watching Dennis.
Always enjoy your videos and tips on fishing.
I appreciate that! Glad ya enjoyed it man!
"They're making it really hard to leave and look for where the fish are supposed to be!" 😂
Nice blues and a sweet double! I'd call it a good day! ♥
Glad you got a kick outta that one haha. I definitely agree. It was my version of a good day!
Great job? Just out of curiosity approximately what % of fish do you lose? I mean broken line, hook breaks etc. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it. Not many. I can't remember the last fish I hooked that came off or busted me off. Probably last June.
Those were some nice hogs ,thanks for the fishing fix,I'm unable to fish anymore so you are my fix, thanks for the trip Spencer
It makes me happy to know the videos help. Ill definitely keep them coming.
Great video man! Love it
I'm really glad you enjoyed that one man!
Spencer your biggest fan thanks for the great cat videos and you catch a giant
Youre too kind Jimmy
Im telling you Spencer...Ella needs to call you in the middle of your next tournament😂.
It only works if I don't tell her to call me. I've definitely tried it haha
Thanks for the tips!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Maybe stand up on your deck and leave the fish in the lower rear of the boat. That way your not lifting so high to get your weight on the fish. Great video as usual.
Its a good idea. Honestly I thought i was stronger than i actually am haha
So if I had to choose only one friend to have… I can’t decide between you or Ella! Fishing, learning, and BS’ing with you would be awesome. Having Ella just call to say hello and hook up with fish. I mean how do you decide?? lol. Thanks for a great video!!
I mean, the answer is pretty obvious to me. Definitely picking Ella haha
That would have been a stellar tournament trip.
No doubt
Just a mild hint of shad had me rolling awesome video
I love the smell of shad in the winter time haha
Hey Spencer, can you tell us the fishing locations you're fishing at the time of filming? Love your content too, lots of helpful tips and tricks. Tell Skip we all said hey. Lol
Ellas a good luck charm spencer
It's honestly a little crazy

spencer maybe i will see you on friday good luck on friday
It made my day that you stopped by and said hello. Hopefully it's not the last time we get to shake hands.
Impressive Spencer...
Glad you got a kick outta it dude
Do you have cup holders mounted to your multibars if so which ones do you have
I ordered it from them. Theyre sweet.
I’m waiting for the 120lbs flathead coming soon from one of your videos.
I'm definitely gonna keep trying to make it happen. Thanks for watching man.
Keberuntungan besar bikin aku makin semangat main lagi di 𝐃𝐄𝐖𝐴𝐃𝘖𝐑𝘈!
how are you attaching your cooler to your boat?
RTIC cooler straps
What makes you choose a dropper loop vs three way swivels? Is it just when using double hook rigs?
Its just way quicker to tie is all.
that was a beast
I appreciate it
Very nice 👍
Thank you 👍
awesome video
Glad you liked it!
Beautiful 57 pounder!!
I appreciate that!
How about some tips about finding fish? Or where to look?
Ill definitely work to incorporate that down the road
Now this is a catfishing video😂😂🔥
Glad you got a kick outta it haha
Ella, the fish magnet. Situation normal.
You ain't kidding haha
I’ve fished that same bridge many times mainly in the winter and caught some nice blues, and I’ve always thought you could only have 3 lines in the water at this lake per person is that true?
Where I'm at you can use as many lines as you want.
what are those red hooks you were using?
They were dragon master stumps knockers
🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍👍👍Awesome video man.
Love me some of them big, fat, mean lake blues!
That definitely makes 2 of us. Thanks for watching dude!
Can't beat a day full of hawgs
No doubt man
Hey Spencer ….. I noticed ( I think ) your baits are above the hook(s). I learned from you to use sinker sliders so I can let more line out if I do not get a bite. What determines whether you use a sinker slider ( bait below the sinker ) or using baits above the sinker?

I usually have a mixture and let the fish tell me what they want.
@ makes sense
Nothing like a “tap tap tapperuuu”
Yessirrr!
Freaking LOVE this Channel!!!!
Glad ya dig it man!
Whoa! and Wooo!
Hell yes!
Love the catfish! Do you fish for carps? Thanks
Thanks for watching man. I don't carp fish much.
So I'm getting from this for catfishing the hook goes above the weight
Its definitely something worth experimenting with.
@RiverCertified ill try it out
What bimini top is that?
Its one of the seaark ones.
Another awesome video Spencer which hellcats are u using med heavy or ? Thanks again for the great videos
You bet man. I appreciate it. Im using the mediums. A very nice combination of soft tip and backbone.
@sean-y3l i think the softer rods lead to more hookups, especially when using braid.
What brand is your landing net?
Its the Smackdown net. It will definitely handle a world record.
Wheeler?
Hey Spencer who and what kind are those red hooks your using?
Dragon master stump knockers. I'm really liking them for the blue cats.
@@RiverCertifiedthanks👍
@ did you mean stump jumpers?
Perfect timing, got #1 again. Lol
Legend
Maybe I missed it, are you on the Missouri? River?
Main di 𝐃𝐄𝐖𝐴𝐃𝘖𝐑𝘈langsung bikin hari jadi lebih cerah!
Attaboy 👊
Thanks Denny!
You can have a 24X30 two door post barn built for around $13.000
Its definitely something I'm thinking about. Thanks for watching man.
I was closer. Lol
That is funny 😁 😂
Glad ya got a kick outta it!
Oh yeah you said do do😂
😆😆😆
That lady who you on the phone with didn't seem too impressed by you needing to call her back. Trust me, i know the feeling. That last fish looked like it's innerds were hanging out the backside. Keep making the vids!
Shes definitely past being impressed by anything i do haha
Что за удилища?
Caught this one a day late everything is ice 🧊 around me 😢 ice fishing is alot harder than open water I can't wait for spring
Its definitely a whole lot different. Electronics and mobility are the 2 most important things for ice fishing.
Those are some cool shades. Shame $100+ sun glasses dont last much more than a year. And they're made in Malaysia. Would pay 200 if they lasted like oakley or maui jims, and were made in USA.
I get it dude. Mine are over a year old and still going strong. Bummer you haven't had the same experience.
I've eaten plenty of WORM , BUG and MUD sandwiches . It's just seasoning . 🤣🤣🤣
Makes it extra smooth haha
You fishing in the ice bowl ?
Unfortunately no.
@ oh ok
Always chunk a big bait, May not get eaten but ya never know. Is it just me that the last couple of times I was out in the cold the fish pretty much shut off at sunset?
That's my thoughts too. The cats definitely slow down at night when it's really cold. It definitely pays to check shallow though.
Skipp---fish nuggets
He likes fish nuggets
Damn i'm early today
Hope you enjoyed it man
Am I the only one that can spell that bait cooler?! LOL
I can smell it too😆
He said doo doo
Regularly haha
Man, I would think that you could make a fortune with just charge a small fee to have Ella call people while fishing!! 😂
Haha I've never even considered that. I'm gonna make millions 😆
I'm too big of a sissy to risk being on the river in the winter months 🤣
It's tough to beat a nice winter day out on the water. I prefer to pick the nicer days though haha
I guessed that 2nd one was over 50! His head was bigger than yours.
Haha thats I know they're a good one
I have been hybernating Spencer sorry I haven’t been around.
Hope youve been enjoying life
👍👏💪❤️💪

Hell yeah! I appreciate it!

I keep trying to talk her into it, but she likes to sleep in on the weekends haha
I have a garage - guess what I currently don't have. Really wasn't a choice just funny
I understand that. I pinch myself every once in a while when I look at my boat because most of my life i haven't had one.
Not 2Pac - EPAC!

I like your number a little better haha

That's a hog. Glad you weighed it I was curious myself
You bet man. I'm definitely gonna make a point to keep weighing the bigger ones.
