The intake is camless it's called variable valve event and lift. The actuator on the back of the engine spins a accentric gear the changes the valve lift. The front timing gears change the advance of the valve lift. No upgrade for the VVEL but Jim wolf makes a nice exhaust cam upgrade. The factory tuneing actually opens the throttle plates wide open above idle and throttle is controlled by the intake valve by controlling how far and when the valve opens. It's a incredible system and that's why factory ecus are so smart and can be tuned so we'll.
Looking good man my brother and I have been building his z for a long time across many turbo setup iterations. One thing to note is around this power level we started having a lot of head gasket issues from what we believe was cylinder walk just a heads up to look out for

Also yes, Adam edits the majority of his videos apart from special events like the open house videos and formula drift weekends.

GKtech hicas delete kit will be your best friend and it's also super cheap and super easy to install, itll make the car feel so much better. I've done it to every car I've had with hicas my 7 Silvias, a couple Skylines and my Stagea.
