Frederick is perfect if you work from home or are commuting to DC for only a couple day per pay period. 15 isn’t bad as described in MD but is in VA where the sign shown is located.
Really, you think so… Ive lived all over the world and Cola, SC was my all time favorite duty station. Reasonable cost of living, low crime, and friendly people.
One hour commute by car??? That would be a non rush hour commute. Rush hour adds at least another hour and more if there is an accident or bad weather.
He’s definitely right, and that was back in the early 2000s for me, I don’t know how atrocious it’s gotten since all of the new developments in Frederick.
You nailed it. Recently retired lived in Montgomery County and was looking at Fredrick as a possible retirement place. So quaint, as you mentioned. Decided to retire in Williamsburg Va less crowed, also very quaint and taxes are much better.
Wow amazing job on the video! Can't wait to see the Frederick neighborhoods video. I have so much respect for what you do with r/e and yt. btw I just passed the Maryland real estate exam. I can't wait to hit the frederick market. Keep making great content!
Hi Mrs caryn I am a new subscriber I so love your channel I love watching homes especially the ones in Potomac because they are so beautiful .but I am so interested in moving to the Frederick area so I am super excited for this video thank you I love your kind bubbly personality keep up the great work.😍
MARC on Frederick, should get their own rail like the Penn Line. The CSX Freights cause commuters lots of disruptions. Well, I-270, etc., commuting isn’t always favorable either. Need more supervisors to be understanding of these facts!!!!
The climate here in Frederick does tend to combine the worst of New England and the Deep South. Cold, snowy winters and hot, humid (and stormy) summers.
As of 2024 'Affordable Housing' is a joke and Frederick residents are calling Frederick 'Montgomery County North'. Developers are buying up farms inside the city and in the county and getting approval to build huge housing developments. One where there once was an idyllic farm, is plotted out, trees and woodland gone, dirt, and a sign that reads 'From the low 700,000s. That is not affordable housing. Roads are congested. Schools are overcrowded. If you like Big City living, Frederick is for you. It is growing rapidly and has become more and more urbanized. Downtown is amazing and Frederick has rich history going back to the Revolutionary era. However, the history is being overshadowed by development and is slowly becoming an afterthought of how Frederick has been a great city. It is fading. I came out of City hall one day with some people one being on the city counsel and asked them if they knew what the white house across the street was. They did not know it was the law office of Francis Scott Key.
Thanks for all the 'fun facts' and outsider/commercialized outsider hype. Glad you managed to speak through this with your cosmetic surgery impeding normal speech. Thanks
Frederick MD out of everywhere I’ve lived and visited in America, is undoubtedly my favorite city! So idyllic and beautiful, i can’t get enough of it
🥰
Frederick is the best! That’s why it’s my favorite place to work!

Moved here for college from South Carolina. I have to give Frederick a 5 star review. It’s awesome! Better than SC for sure!

Oh Columbia is great. I was from the Greenville area@@Kim-Berly200

You’re probably right!

I like that area too. If we ever moved there, I’d see about getting seasonal tickets to Busch Gardens.
Great video. Thank you!

I got engaged in Frederick at The Tatsting room❤ I will alwaya have a place in my heart for the town.
Love this! ❤️
When I see commercials or any ads showing beer….Miss the Flying Dog Brewery and their taste testing.
There is a Airport in Frederick Maryland and the Marc Train as well and Trans It Buses.
The airport is BWI.

Free parking at the parking lots on Saturday and Sunday.
Currently live in southern Maryland but looking to move to Frederick soon. Can you talk about the school districts?
Happy to chat. In the meantime, here’s an article for you www.greatschools.org/maryland/frederick/

I was born and raised in Frederick Maryland on May 22nd 1985 I hate it here.
Not 1 hr to Dc during rush hour closer to 2hrs
Agree
Moved from Montgomery County, where crime was going up exponentially - gangs.
Do you like Frederick?
Schools are overcrowded.
The entire East Coast isn't great when it comes to summer, not many places across America are.
Maine is stunning

Some people refer to it as FredNeck.
Why
Not just real estate, shopping and more in Frederick cheaper than MoCo
Not anymore since they banned Grocery Plastic Bags
The pros outweigh the cons
Yes - to Frederick County; No - to Frederick City.
lol
@@CarynGardiner I’ve lived in both. Downtown isn’t what it’s cracked up to be.
Cons of Frederick Maryland some people won't except you for who you are they told me to become someone else.
What do you mean? Are you talking about political views?

LOL @ 45 mins to each place! What a joke.

So rude. But hey, thanks for watching! It’s still appreciated 🥰
