Thank you so much for this. With Obi-Wan, I am dusting these games off and playing them again. I have never played these with mods and am looking forward to it. It has been at least 4 years since I have played them
Completely agree with the Restored Content mod views, some of the cutscenes revived feel like they had a good reason to be left out of the final game, the shuttle cutscenes on Telos come to mind, would still recommend it for pretty much every playthrough, but not everything added is a positive addition.
This is what I need to push me into buying the game. I've been hesitant about it cause I was afraid of how the modding would be, but this video is such a nice and easy list to follow. Thanks for my next obsession game.
I am using the recommended mods and have run into a weird issue. When I use blasters, the energy bolts come out of my feet instead of the guns. Any ideas on which mod could be causing that side effect?
Does the game work good on Steam? I remember it wasn't working at all on Win7, not without replacing half of the game with fixes and fixing programs Now I got Win11 with RTX and all shabang and I just wonder if the Steam version will be as broken as CD version? Any opinions on Steam version?
Hi new to pc gaming, can you subscribe to these mods and then just instantly start playing the game? Modding Skyrim on xbox was always such a headache have to test compatibility through trial and error, have to go into the load order and swap things around, etc. I just want to play kotor II with a couple mods.
Short answer: yes, just subscribe and play Not as short answer: there can still be compatibility issues with mods on the steam workshop, I don’t mod the game super heavily so I haven’t encountered many, but I’ve seen comments from people that have, but no load orders or anything like that.
I'm not aware of a fix, I know what you're talking about, but am not aware of a way around it other than just being proactive and getting influence before the encounter :/
Steam workshop is awful for mods as it doesn't actually install them and tries to sideload them into the game on start up. Meaning mod conflicts or incompatibilities that may not usually occur will likely occur when using multiple mods through Steam workshop.
@@GamingYourOwnWay It's nice until your save file gets corrupted right before the final boss...and is unable to be recovered using a save editor...I would definitely stray away from using the workshop. It isn't always worth the convenience.
@@GameStormerGX I’m using the retired content one, the 90 degree camera overhaul one, and possibly 1 more. Is it too late for me to delete those and just get them from Nexus? With my save get corrupted 🥺
I won't lie, I know nothing about the steam deck, hopefully someone on here does! If not, feel free to join the Discord, there might be someone there familiar with it!
@@GamingYourOwnWay i figured it out not long after i posted this and played around with the game. Now just trying to figure out how to use the controls as they are currently not working even though the mapped controler config is mapped how it should be workinvg. Beat giess is one of the mods i addwd is interfering and i need to identify which one and remove. Ty foe rhe reply!
Honestly, the mods are so good - the game doesn't even need a remake. I'm actually afraid they'll ruin KotoR I, because of political correctness (communism).

just installed for the first time off a sale for £2.50 and used your mod pack, much appreciated!
About to start my first playthrough. Using your list. Hope it all goes well!
Did it go well?

Love your videos.

Great video! Would like, if possible if you made a mod collection for easy of access!
Is that something I can do? I’ve never done that before lol, I’ll investigate!
Okay, that ended up being easy to do haha, here we go :) steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2768519994

@@GamingYourOwnWay Thank you.
All companions are Jedis on contour 2
I do have a question, the Crimon Raider event now seems to block almost all influence increases. Is there a way to fix this?
Are you talking about the red eclipse?
@@GamingYourOwnWay Yeah, I knew it sounded wrong, but was in a hurry.

Well, at least these ones I showed don't seem to conflict 🤷♂️. The price of convenience I suppose!

@@Lettuce_Play its not worth the risk. You don't want to mess with mods like that mid playthough.
@@GameStormerGX darn. Okay thank you 🙏 for that. Wish I came across this info sooner
I hit the like button.
thanks
Fantastic video man! I was wondering if you would consider doing this for neverwinter nights?
New to steam. Getting steam deck tomorrow. Anyone able to please tell me how to find the steam workshop to be able to find these mods?

There should be a mod of a black colour lightsaber
Thank u sir 👍
Most welcome
can you cover the fan made Kotor 3?
its not available in steam : (
I will not unfortunately, I don't make long-form kotor content anymore. I will be looking at the remake when it comes out.
The Jedi temple mod is ok.
Are the mods free?
Yes!
@@GamingYourOwnWay nice I played on Xbox a month ago and I can’t wait to play it again with the mods on steam
all you did was read surface info on the top mods.... i coulda seen this for myself

They can't ruin KOTOR 1, if the remake is bad, we'll still have the original game, they can't ruin our existing game 🙂
@@GamingYourOwnWay True that.
Love the communism part it's so true
