As a New Yorker I can say I'm proud to be represented by a group as hard-working and passionate as these young men. I even feel the nature of them not being from the city or even the country is appropriate given the extreme diversity within the city and how it represents the history of immigrants coming from all over the world to New York to make it the place it is today. I'll be supporting this team through and through. And I can't wait till I get to watch these boys in person when they come home in season 2.
I think stuff like this is just what was needed to "break the ice" between the Excelsior and their fanbase. Yes, they're people, and very nice people, too. It's normal that with them being foreign, especially Koreans, what with their reputation of being ruthless gaming machines, people might not have felt a personal connection with them as much. But when you get to know them, they are a really interesting bunch.
I think he meant like there was a character that was a libero ( as in he is called the team's libero ). I think that's what they meant with the translation.
Some guy recalled his experiences playing against pro koreans in OW and said "Libero was this really cool mysterious guy who didn't say anything a lot but destroyed the enemy team whenever I gave him harmony orb." Or something like that.
Coming from a Houston fan and a video production student, I appreciate the work that goes into these videos, and if Outlaws can't make it, I'm rooting for you guys!
I don't think many people hate them for being all Korean, but I know initially, my reaction to hearing that news was was tinged with a bit of disappointment, and I was concerned that they would be completely insulated from our culture, leaving a marketing team to handle all that work. After getting to know each player through these videos and their streams, as well as learning of their dedication to speaking English and interacting with fans, I'm completely supportive and proud!
These videos make me love the team even more! Your production team is crazy good at their job. Thanks for the awesome content. NYXL going to sweep teams and do it with style 😉 Happy to support a team of people like this! #NYXL

Ive been a fan of nyxl , london spitfire and outlaws before the league even started. I like the person in the league before they went to OWL. Feels really great when all of these teams are top 3 now
