M4 Pro? I wish there would be an M4 Max or Ultra iMac! More power, less desk real estate needed. I would be upgrading from a 27 inch iMac. And it better have up to 128GB RAM. I know it’s unlikely but a man can dream…
I'm thinking about getting a Mac Mini or Mac Studio to sit beside my PC connected to one of the monitors I have now should I go with the Mac Studio or the Mac Mini and should I get one of the current models or wait for the new models
Personal recommendation would be to wait for the new Mac mini. You would need to buy a keyboard mouse and a display if you don’t have extras. (Not included in the box)
noone would panic if apple gave up on the current imac design and stuffed an apple silicon chip into their old 27 and 21.5 inch housings.... those were the most beautiful all in ones. the new ones are just plain cheap and we were forced to accept white bezels when deep down, we hate them. their argument for white bezells doesn't work because if it were true, it would have came to all their devices and studio displays/pro displays.
Apple should release the Mac Studio Max with all the other Mac versions. Leave the Ultra for June with the Mac Pro, but not kill those sells on November. 2 years waiting for the Mac Studio and I will give up if they don’t release it on this event. I will get the MacBook Pro M4 Max. Btw, this is also affecting our DaaS updates.. we need to buy 300 Mac Studios (at my job) and we haven’t due to this shitty Apple decision.
Innovation has stagnated with Apple. It will be a while yet before they release something with significant improvements with their upcoming hardware update imo. The mini needed at least thinner bezels as well as either 90/120Hz display

We need displays! Give us 32 Oled 120hz or something even cooler for $2K and allow multiple mounting options. Also would love to see qi charging pads built into monitor stands. Give us keyboards with screens like the older MacBook pros this was a great idea just too early and I miss it in the current gen MBP. 32in IMac ! Give us modular MacBook Pro battery, memory and SSD just like the 2008 MacBook Pro.

Some people use Final Cut Pro or logic, Apple exclusive apps. A gaming pc is for gaming, while Macs are for work and can actually do gaming pretty good for integrated graphics. People also like lightweight, and clean laptops (MacBook Air) or a powerhouse while still looking nice and compact (MacBook Pro). You don’t get that out of a gaming laptop. And for the mac mini, the Mac mini is $600, and a good gaming pc can cost from $1000. As someone who has a gaming pc, sure it can do work, but it’s not portable like a MacBook.
