My great great great grandad came from Walthamstow at the age of 20 he sailed on the Larkins and arrived in New Zealand around 1840. I wish I could see the place for real...hugs.

I visited there in 1999 (from California) and I remember some dude saying "Pound A Pound BAH-NAH-NAH!"
There's a mall nearby, as well as a public library. Also a train station. I remember stopping into Pizza Hut along that street.
That market is the first place I really heard Black British people speak and I was sort of puzzled by that.
Also, that market was billed as "The Longest Market in EUROPE", not just Britain.

@E17bikes Walthamstow is the first time I realized how many Muslims are in the UK. In 1999 I was visiting from California (met a girl over the Internet) and one night I was walking. I saw an open door to a building hanging partially open. I was a nosy tourist, so I peeked inside the door really quick and I saw like 400 Muslims all bowing down in prayer. I really quickly said, "Oh shit!" and back out of there and walked away without turning back. That was in late 1999. I can only imagine now.

My Mum still live's in Walthanstow....I miss the Royal Standard Pub, The Bakers Arms, I used to work at Keabeach, the leisure centre on the High Street, and at Pizza Hut at the top for a while. Is The Waltham Forrest Library still up at the top there? I lived on Boundary Rd. (271) -Ethan Tudor W.

    I recognize many faces.
Even the TWINS God bless em were part of walthamstow market. (The Stow club) Even The Chequers pub where dear Ronnie went after the killing of George Cornell in The Blind Beggar. (You should see how the new owners of the Chequers have destroyed all the history of the pub)
Great Days we're never get back.
    (Because of our stupid government.

People get one thing straight. ' Muslim ' isn't a religion. The person who believes in ' islam ' is a muslim.
Islam is the religion. You say that you hate muslims, well then why can't you hate the cristians then???
U can't hate muslim people for no reason. You just have to stop hating. Hope you understand where I'm coming from.
