the more i listen to the bible the less i desire distraction. more truth less shadow life. im still vulnerable and must perservere. pray for each other and never give up. thank you sir. this is my current struggle.
This is my BIGGEST battle. Distraction. I use to be so strong. Fasting, Praying and reading my Bible studying Gods word. And now it’s as if I have no control or even care. Lord help my family and I🙏🏾
We are only a product of our environment. Just like your generation. Why not make a statement about how the world and our government have changed instead of the generations?
So, so true! RUclips is a problem for me at the moment. My job offers a lot of down time. I've been trying to manager/master the job tasks in a more productive way that I may study the Gospel more productively, through discipline.
Please can you pray for me. God is taking me through a period of isolation and has removed many people from my life. I have felt suicidal and deeply depressed. I have given up smoking weed as of yesterday. I love the Lord with all my heart and I’m focusing on Him.
IF God did it, its for a good reason. However one of Satans best weapons, besides fear, is isolation so that ppl end up feeling hopeless & suicidal. Im NOT saying this IS your situation, but Satan is ramping things up big time. Connect with Godly ppl however you can do it.. even if its only online. Praying for you & everyone in the same situation.
Your situation may be different but I can say it sounds very similar to mine...minus the weed issue. So I wholeheartedly pray and hope you can get through that difficult obstacle. My advice would be to Pray and read God's word every bit of the day that you have spare!! This is no exaggeration. I've been in isolation for a while now and at first I'd fight it and barely gave God a second of my week let alone a day. I just didn't understand what submitting my life to God and taking up my cross DAILY meant. Take it as a real sign that God is calling you into Himself. It's basically a wake up call that He is there, loves you, so please rely on Him!! When I finally stopped fighting and desiring and putting so much of my time into the things of the world, even if it is a harmless hobby, interest etc this completely changed my life. Now I'm absolutely addicted to spending time with Him! I can't wait to get home from work and just sit down, pray, read, watch sermons online, studying a different part of the bible. It's so intense!!! And all of this has absolutely nothing to do with me and my efforts. It's the Holy Spirit that does this to a person. You need to give up your ENTIRE self to Him. So just start praying and talking to Him all day about whatever. For me personally I can see now that He has put me in this position so I actually started reading and studying His Word for myself. I acnt even begin to explain how much I know now in comparison to before this time of isolation. It's an absolute miracle to say the least, because I do not like reading haha! 😅 So don't give up, please just pray and read His Word. 🙏 ❤
When we feel isolated, look at it as a time to draw closer to God, so that our trust in Him gets stronger. Before you know it, you'll rely only on Him and find yourself talking to Him all the time. There is joy in that closeness. Hes preparing us for something.
I’m a 52yo woman and “frivolity” is my biggest challenge. I love the Lord and His Word but I still find myself going through times when I am distracted by the tube of you. I don’t use any other social media, i don’t watch tv or listen to modern music. I try to avoid entertainment that has anti-Christ values and rarely watch streaming shows (but when I do I binge). I go through times of intense reading and studying the Bible, which I enjoy and crave..but then after a time I realize I’ve fallen prey to the digital distraction. Even when I’m watching videos on things that interest me I want to be closer to God so I watch sermons. Even so, the Holy Spirit is telling me to read my Bible. Idk why at times it becomes a struggle to read His word when sincerely I want to. I pray for understanding before I read it and that has changed the whole experience from when I was a younger Christian and didn’t do that. As much as I have read and studied, I haven’t read every single verse and I know it’s the most important thing I can do. Still, my fallen being falls short. I definitely get “amused” by things that don’t matter and even by things that do, such as expositional sermons. I know these are teachings I need but I have to make sure they don’t replace me reading my Bible as God instructs me to do. I find that when I’ve become frivolous and amused those sermons I watch teach me a lot about Christ’s message but I struggle to pray often. It’s fulfilling my yearning for understanding but it’s not the same as when I know I’m listening to the Holy Spirit. When I read my Bible daily I feel His Spirit and almost constant prayer comes easily. Prayer that I know is received. When I’m not reading my Bible daily I feel like I am disappointing God and my prayer feels insincere and harder to do. I want God to know when I worship Him in prayer that it’s sincere. Even knowing all this I struggle. Sometimes I just have to pray for forgiveness and for the Holy Spirit move me, change me and help me to have the discipline to focus on God’s Word before anything else.
Thank you for your insight. I'm 85, unfortunately having the same issues. I really crave godly teaching such as John Barnett here and John MacArthur. Yet often when I turn on my phone I get caught up in scrolling on my screen and waste a lot of time without realizing it!! It is a trap for me!!
It’s a trap for me too! I need to put God first & break up with my phone. Utube is my obsession also. I learn a lot but most of it I won’t remember tomorrow. Satan is the deceiver & unfortunately he knows us all too well

(Used 7&12 to accommodate 1 generation that will not pass before Christ returns) 84+1948=2032-1yr (exclusive count)=2031=millennial reign of god. (-7yr tribulation) =2024 April 8th eclipse+40 days =18-20th world count because more than 1 day is always happening at one time on earth( so we cant know the day or hour). (40 41&42 are all numbers god has used surrounding judgment and in creating everything) So ... I think the rapture and beginning of the tribulation starts actually in may 14-20th window 🪟

I'm not intitled to be cured. He gave me his saving grace, what more could I ask? What more could I need? Yes He's able, yes. He's willing! But that's not how it works. You need to read the new testament again! Even the apostle Paul had a thorn in his flesh that God did not cure for him. Because it's part of this world, and it will be until Jezus returns!
JEZUS is fully aware OF your sinful nature. Wy doesn't he stop you? Is He not willing or not able? Just like GOD does not simply take away disease or mental disorders its part of this broken world! He wil cure your soul and renew your heart He did that for me and he wil for you!

I do always best and talking to God, when i on the bisical . But the phone is just to use all the time.
But some how i pull my self back to the bible.
Some advice - If you have a Bible, use it, not the phone. I think you will see a huge difference in your life. Eph 1:15-21 🛐

JESUS is FULLY AWARE of adhd and ALL other neurological issues. He is fully able to set us free. Are you claiming Jesus is not able or willing?
