  • this kit suffered some light damage about 5/6 years ago, by getting blown off a table at a model show by a blast of wind (no, i hadn't been eating beans the day before, it was the other kind of wind!)

    Good job returning a Code 3 (not mission capable) bird back to Code 1 (ready to fly) status! Fun repairing and maybe improving previous builds. Chalk me up in the vintage kit build column. Currently working on the 1/72 Monogram P-51B (1967 tooling) and P-40N (1960 tooling) from the Accurate Miniatures Air Combat Legends 2007 boxing. Pondering whether to add the True Details resin cockpit to both or build as is…

      thanks! as I write this reply I am working on a 1963 tooling airfix B 17, my stash of kits is probably about 70% older stuff against newer toolings. I have another project I want to start, then I will most likely turn my attention to the Bf 110

      thanks! this kit deserved to have a bit of TLC, it was one of my favourite finished models.
