I recently attended an organ recital in Chatham, MA and was very disappointed at the way Hymn #608 (1982 Hymnal) was
played. "Eternal Father, Strong to Save" should be played the way Mr. Phoenix played it; with great emotion. Thank you sir!

My grandfather played the Grandfather Willis Organ at Blenheim Palace. He bought a church organ from a derelict church, took out the floor above the organ for the pipes and fitted a removable handle for the bellows as it crossed the doorway. He paid my dad and several of his mates 6 pence an hour to pump the thing. He died due to the gas from WW1 not long after.

My grandfather was conscripted and sent to Manchuria in mainland China. He was promoted for military merit from private to sergeant major. He returned to mainland Japan and was later dispatched to the Pacific islands with his subordinates and comrades-in-arms. On that island he fought to the death with the US Marines. He suffered gunshot wounds through both thighs and was on the verge of death, but miraculously survived. He began to travel to Hawaii soon after the war, and he fell in love with it. He took me to Pearl Harbor when he traveled to Hawaii with his grandson.
On the spot, he paid tribute to the brave men of both the Japanese and American armies with the Imperial Japanese Army-style salute to which he belonged.
Long live the alliance of friendship and trust between Japan and the United States that overcame deadly battles.

The Keyboards are from Midiworks.ca, the CMK-3 cherry wood keyboards. I really like them, good feel and touch.
The pedalboard belongs to the organ console that you see. I had to change it to MIDI so it was compatible with Hauptwerk.

This the hymn of the Royal (British) Navy. It was played at Queen Victoria's funeral in 1901, King George V's funeral, at King George VI's funeral in 1952, at Queen Mary's funeral in 1953, at Sir Winston Churchill's funeral in 1965 , and at Lord Mountbatten's funeral in 1997. In keeping with British tradition, it is played after "O, God Our Hope in Ages Past" and is followed by "I Vow to Thee My Country".
