Rex's point also resonates with the Niners' situation...with Trey Lance; can the Niners not benefit right now from those picks they committed to this future of a hopefully good quarterback? How has the team's management gotten away from answering for their action?
Primarily because Jimmy G isn't exactly a 10 year franchise cornerstone QB. They saw what happens when you put him up against an elite QB when he missed the throw that could have put away the Chiefs in '20. Mahomes then came back to win it. The way the league is going, if you don't have a Mahomes/Allen-esque QB, you better be looking for one because when you come up against them, you want a QB that elevates you, not one that you have to hide or limit.

Exactly !!!! He's always fallen short ! Always wanting to retire, asking for trades, yet end up at the same game every year and lose or always injured.

Patrick Mahomes is going to surpass everything Aaron Rodgers has ever done. He already has more conference titles and as many Super Bowl rings. He comes up big in the big game and he's only 26 years old. His performance against the Bills was one for the ages. By the time he is Rodgers' age there'll be two or three names in the GOAT conversation and AR12 won't be one of them.
Its amazing what a 2nd ring can do for one's PR. Peyton spent his whole career choking in playoffs and people ignore it because the Broncos Defense carried him in 2015. even in 06 playoffs, he threw 7 INT, just 3 TD. My point: if he wins a 2nd ring, people will forget his failures like they ddi with Manning
Ryan Clark nailed it. Rodgers comes up short. His numbers are always pretty, but he just doesn't do enough sometimes. He's an all time great in terms of talent and numbers, but he's not a great when it comes to winning when it matters most. He had plenty of opportunities in that game against the 49ers last week. He didn't do enough. He's arguably the MVP this season. Most people picked GB as the favorite to win the Superbowl. He came up short... again. Do you think he would rather be known for his pretty TD/INT ratio or as a winner who's won multiple Superbowls?

How much talent does he want them to have? Defense played great. 12 kept trying to force it to Adams. 20 completions--18 to Adams and Jones. Unacceptable. Trust your receivers. He lost faith in Deguara after the drop and Lewis after the fumble. Mahomes and Allen showed what playoff QB play looks like--distribute the ball. Rodgers played like Case Keenum Saturday. Missed check downs, held onto the ball too long and keyed in on one player. The Love pick was three years ago. Someone wake Rex up.
Two separate arguments.. Rex was not talking about Rodgers legacy, He's talking about wasting a 1st round pick on a backup QB, Jordan Love. Even a Bears fan knows they should have picked a WR.

I think people were too high on the Packers coming into this game. They struggled in some close/lucky wins this season, to name three ; They barely beat the Ravens without Lamar Jackson. They barely beat the Browns against a banged up Baker who threw FOUR interceptions. And lastly, they were lucky to survive against the Bengals with that missed field goal fiasco at the end. If those three games went the other way, they'd be 10-7, maybe 11-6 if they used starters the whole game against the Lions, and would be talked about in a way different light. And they were also down at half time against the Lions both games they played. I know it's a divisional game and they're different, but if you're a coach and Quarterback for what is suppose to be the most elite team in football, you should hardly struggle, if at all, against what is one of the worst teams in the league, let alone both games they played in one year.
I know you're trying to trash the defense, but that defense played its best game of the season. They were the only unit the Packers had that showed up. You can bring up the regular season all you want for your whataboutism, but the Packers defense held the 49ers to 212 total yards & gave up only 6 points.
@@daddynanners3944 I wasn't trying to trash the defense at all? If anything, it goes to show that the offense can't perform when it needs to as well. The offense should be able to out score a Ravens team that doesn't have its star QB. But against the 49ers', the special teams was the main reason they lost, but also the offense is a contributing factor, I don't put this loss on the defense at all. I just don't think they deserved their 13-4 record, and it goes to show with this early exit.
haha Rex. AR12's legacy in Green Bay is not all that much less than Favre's, except that Favre's Packers with Mike Holmgren, Andy Reid & Krew garnered a second SB berth, but lost. Yeah, AR12's arrogance and ego are self-conflated, and a lot of that, with regards to football, is because The Media has made AR12 their "darling" for the greater portion of his NFL career, harping on how great he -- which is he -- etc. AR12 has never had the luxury of a consistently tough-as-nails HC like Andy Reid: five (5) NFC Conference Finals and a Super Bowl appearance with the Eagles/Donovan McNabb; and now, four (4) straight AFC Conference Finals with M'homey & Krew (TY-reek, T-Kel[ce] et al.). Rodgers is the most naturally gifted and the greatest passer of the football but not the greatest at the quarterback position. Two different things that also overlap.
@@rayontita1912 well said ..
@@user-nm2hb5lg6z Jimmy G his entire playoff career has been carried by a run game and defense, that’s why he throws for less than 200 yards a game with ints but they still win. Its a lil different cuz Jimmy G himself is a problem in 49ers whereas Aaron Rodgers wasnt in Green Bay. In other words 49ers are trying to simultaneously solve the problem and prepare for the future while Green Bay's intention was exclusively for the future.

Facts. Rodgers are All Time Great but He comes up short in playoffs.
Your statement completely contradicts itself. All time greats win playoff games. Rodgers is 7-9 in the playoffs. That was a home playoff game and 14 points would have won the game. Rodgers is all hype. Usually his own hype.

Rex still blaming the Love pick after the Packers bring in All Pro lineback Campbell, Douglas, Stokes, Myers, Boug, Dillon in the same draft, Cobb for Rodgers.
Now Aaron Rodgers is someone that I hope does indeed leave.
Qaaron is 11-10 in the playoffs. He's 0-4 vs the 49ers in the playoffs, including 0-3 at Lambeau against them. Qaaron is a great REGULAR SEASON QB. He's mediocre in the playoffs.
The Greatest Thrower of the Football until Mahomes, Herbert & Allen get to his age. Rodgers aint making Sidearms Curve Ball throws like mahomes did last night to Pringle on 3rd down where he curved it under the linebackers arm. Allen made that Lob pass 35 yarder TD while running away from the Defense was insane throw as well.
You'd have to follow the Packers to understand.
Great thrower yes, but as far best QB nope and he is #3 best QBs in Green Bay history behind Favre and Bart Star
It's almost as if the league has been going towards favoring the QB position more than any other...

as a football fan, he should have more super bowl rings by now. Sometimes there's been bad luck ( 2015 - botched onside kick by packers, 2012 divisional 9 dropped passes by wr's and fumbles, this last game with a blocked punt) and sometimes they've been dominated ( falcons 2017, Niners 2020) and sometimes he just wasn't good enough ( last year).

Double standards guys. It's not AR12's fault because of the special teams but if the special teams does their job in KC Love and the Packers win that game.
Way too many variables to blame Aaron Rodger’s for this loss the Packers didn’t go for it. Special teams, receivers they all played a huge role in all these instances that Ryan Clark is mentioning
Still only scored 10 points

@@BillyBob-ti2fz it's called objective context. everyone wants to blame only rodgers, but people who actually understand the nuance of team sports are pragmatic enough to know that you can't put all the blame on rodgers. there's a difference, but someone who uses the term rodgersexuals probably doesn't understand that or you're just trolling. can't really tell
Dude they scored 10 points. Always some kind of excuse every year for Aaron Rodgers. No one was complaining these last two years going into the playoffs and they were the favorites to get it done. Hasn't even been to a SB in 12 years. Was also bounced in the 1st round after having a 15-1 record.

I knew something was wrong when the Packers lost to the Giants in the first round.
It’s honestly the TEAM structure teams don’t fear Greenbay regardless of the history of the field & all that the team is a finesse team & everybody knows that. Every time they get beat in the playoffs it’s by a team that just was more physical
Bears fan here,
We’ll take Rodgers tomorrow, our defense needs a guy who can actually Chuck a ball
I mean Rodgers didn’t play up to MVP at all (10pts at home is trash) but he’s had a signature playoff moment. And that was when Ryan Clark got beat for a TD in the Super Bowl lol Ryan just forgot I guess..
Another receiver wouldn’t have mattered. He got that adams tunnel vision.
Rams are selling out, Bucs sold out last year and we have BB on record saying that Brady essentially walked away because the Pats sold out to win 2 Superbowls. It's literally what you do to win. It doesn't guarantee a SB but you are more likely to win in it if you trend in that direction. As far as better teams go, if Brady retires the Bucs is a good landing spot.

Aaron Rogers accomplished more than all three of these guys as a fetus. He is a champion and a legend.
🤣🤣🤣 Fraudgers also won in failing 🤣🤣🤣
Even the Patriots at times went and chased after talent like Moss and Brown.
