I cannot believe the Packers lost this game. Packers had the #1 seed locked up and basically rested their starters for 3 weeks. The crippled 49ers come in and somehow win. This was incredibly embarrassing.

That blocked punt was unreal. The ball was knocked so high into the air that nobody knew where the hell it was for an eternity.

When the 49's didn't make that 4th and 1 in the 4th quarter, I really thought the game was over. Their offense hadn't scored a TD all game. But, a hungry team can do amazing things.

I was watching the game on my desktop and the picture froze, shortly after the 49ers didn't convert on the 4th and 1. I didn't really care about not being able to see what was going on, because, admittedly, I just knew Rodgers would come in and throw short passes to run out the clock.
Woke up, did a search, and was totally floored that San Fran pulled out the win. I enjoyed watching the highlights even more.

Honestly, I’m very proud of the 49ers despite coming up short in the NFC Championship.
To go from 3-5, to fans wanting Kyle fired, to the various trade rumors with Jimmy G, to the injuries and more.
To see them fight their way to the playoffs, to beating Dallas in an ugly win to getting very sweet revenge on Green Bay after that humiliating loss in Week 3 and were only a 4th Quarter away from an 8th SB appearance is something I’m thankful for.
This team had grit and fought as hard as they could. But in the end, just the same song and dance. We would lose once again to the eventual SB Champions.
Oh well, I’m still proud of the 49ers fight and beating the #1 Seeded Packers (my buddy’s team) always feels good.

I watched Joe Montana and Steve DeBerg through the spring of 1981. I was Charle Young’s personal trainer and Charle invited me to go work out w him at 711 Nevada St. Thanks to #86, I used my black belt skills to help some of the players gain better flexibility. The QB’s would throw to receivers, TE’s, free agents, for example Bill Ring (5 Star Guy) and Amos Lawrence...
Remember then guys?!? The best part was when Montana saw I had a runners watch, so he asked me to time his snap to release... He wanted it no longer than 2.5 seconds, so I sat 10 yards away and called out his times. True story! Coach Walsh called ME. I was a 25 year old stretch coach, and he wondered if a complete stretching/conditioning program could help his tennis game, as well as his athletes game. Oh my the memories. Go NINERS! Let's make the Lambs put the L A in Lame!

Strangely, I’m especially impressed with Jimmy G. He had a TERRIBLE game, one of the worst I’ve ever seen him play (I’m a Jimmy G fan, btw). After accomplishing nothing (a couple of good passes that were dropped, too many sacks taken & a gut wrenching interception in the red zone) thru the first 57 minutes of the game, he maintained his focus & concentration to manage that last drive (2 excellent completions over the middle) to get them (barely) into field goal range. In miserable conditions like those, I’ve seen lots of people just give up.
But he fought on. Impressive.

Crazy thing is that I think it was noite like a 13 point swing because the kick return by Deebo gave the offense a shortened field to work with for the field goal + allowed more time to be on the clock at the end for the game winner.

SF's defense was absolutely on LOCKDOWN in the second half. Green Bay receivers weren't getting much separation. Consequently, Rodgers had to hold the ball a bit longer and got sacked at some of the most inappropriate times.

Sorry to disagree. There were several times receivers other than Adams that got open quite often. Remember in the NFL open is a half a step ahead of the defender. Cobb does that almost always with his fast cuts. And Lazard is tall and has the ability to catch whatever is thrown at him even in tight coverage. The problem is that Rodgers (For some stupid reason) only wants to throw the ball to Adams in playoff games. Your coaches seen that and responded quite well. The Packer defense did an amazing job they held the 49ers to two field goals the entire game. However Rodgers decided to lay an egg after the first drive. Good job to your team and good luck.

I was at that game and had the greatest time. GB fans have always been fun at Lambeau, we talked smack back and forth all through the game but there was no better moment than when the block punt happened and you just knew that SF would find a way to finish them off. And then of course leaving the stadium and hearing everyone badmouth Rodgers was priceless

I'm still here, still watching that blocked punt in awe. When the ball was hit by Willis the thumping sound was pretty loud. I have to wonder if special teams practices by listening to the sound to be aware that the ball in the air. All the Niners players on the field seem to quickly see where that ball was because at least six of the players immediately went toward the ball. Hufanga was one of the once closest to the ball and scooped it up and ran in. I love Hufanga and I hope he makes the team this year.
