The color match on that repair wasn't very good. If it is that obvious in a video, it must be glaringly obvious in person. That's why you blend the color into the panels adjacent to the repair and then clearcoat them along with the repaired area. This isn't a matter of craftsmanship. It is just being cheap and/or lazy, but I suspect that such decisions are made by the bosses, not the guys doing the work.

Seems money has run out.........that can't be helped. The most important part of the repair has been done and that was a top notch job as far as that goes.

That black coating on new bits isn't undercoat, it's just a cheap lacquer stuck on to stop surface rust in the warehouse.

Yes it's a real shame because the actual repair is top. I recommend finding another paints shop to match the paint.
