Unfortunately this proved to be a much tougher task than my previous match on this venue a couple of weeks earlier but I'm sure the next few LIVE MATCH videos from various venues will have much more fish catching action for you. However in order to share my experiences with you on this channel it's important to show the hard days as well as the easy days isn't it! Thanks for watching :)

Just shows mere mortals like us pleasure anglers can feel pretty good when you show that even the best struggle big time... a Fantastic channel, full of inspirational techniques, humour, and, of course, great venues...it really gives a true point of view when fishing non-commercial fisheries. I remember the days of strapping dead cows to your feeder on the trent to get'em to hold bottom. Now you can get the right weighted feeders for the job, it's a lot better than trying to strap extra lead on. Bob Marley would of loved that peg with all that weed. lol

Fair play mate 👏 fished a match on the canal couple o weeks ago I was the only 1 on my section had a bite 😳 1 piece of plastic 4 leaves and a stick 😀

Well done for sticking with it. That was lots of debris to contend with, I have seen in passed adding a large shot above feeder, helps. Never had to do it but was something I would/will try. Great filming though 👍

We use a no.4 on the fen drains when they are running hard and weed is an issue.

A real hard slog but I’d happily trade places with you instead of being tethered to a kitchen stove for 12 hours, don’t think you’d be up for that though! Great video as usual and still plenty to take away from it by means of your approach to the conditions. Best of luck for your next time out on a match.

I felt this was very much not like you to not have a back up like a waggler to search that peg when you had time,they were it seems not in the flow,you always say ring the changes to us and you were so close,you talked it but didn't do it in this match.👍
I didn't take any float gear Robert but in hindsight if I'd known the river was going to be in that condition I would have gone to another venue with more fishing action mate 😉
