His ability to turn pretty much any normal into a 350-400 damage combo gives him a lot of potential. He's kind of the Ryu for Ryu players that have great execution it seems (as the ones online right now just.. do regular Ryu crap with a char. that has lower HP)
I really find him extremely fun, his problems are his tight link, basically online He is a ryu, with less hp, who will eventually whiff an otherwise winninmatch combo and lose the round.
Wait, let me make sure I see this correctly. E. Ryu has a combo that requires 3 meters that builds for him 1 and a half meters of EX and does 496 damage. My AE Rose is jealous!
@neontetra1000 Yes it means he can do the sweep after the tatsu i heard they had it there but then changed their mind,its not final yet i just hope they give him the stuff he deserves and that one is pretty important
i might switch from yang to e.ryu, he seems more my style, i never played a full 100% agression char, i cant do it :P i like to play offensive but some nice defensive tools aswell, like balrog and ryu (SSFIV mains)
I know very little about SF4. Why does the "cutscene" part of the Ultra not activate in the last few combos? (Evil Ryu does three DPs in a row instead)
@Realmasterorder Hi,i use ryu and akuma and can do akumas lk tatsu to sweep fairly consistently,if they make e ryus sweep 6 frame does that mean he can lk tatsu - sweep the whole cast? i think they have made it 6 freames for 2012 is that right? i know e ryu c an sweep around 6 of the cast already,cammy,deejay,fei etc in the corner.
It's weird... I hate Ryu with a passion, but I kind of love E. Ryu. Probably because he's very similar to Akuma, but still. :P I think I may have found my new secondary, unless I get better with Oni.
I will never understand why all pro players choose ultra 1. ultra 2 is much more powerful on punish and it does such little less damage that for me it's natural gioing for ultra 2. (the damage difference is, on the combos that I can do, between 20 and 40 damage: this are a crouching light kick,20, and two crouching light kick,40. Messatsu-Goshoryu is the best ultra for Evil Ryu. Period

Just doing them is one thing, trying to pull them off in an actual match is another.
The damage he can do without meter alone makes him actually kinda scary.. And here I thought he wouldn't be too much of a problem.

Evil Ryu would be top tier that over head kick thing was an actual over head, lol. It's an overhead for the ex version, I believe.

Pretty nice combos, I still got the most damage from the classic j.HK, c.HP, ex Tatsu into Ultra I though, I think it does something like 540.

@TedMakesAwfulMovies Up close fierce>EX axe kick>ducking strong>into hurricane kick shouldn't be that hard to pull off in a match.
@FreekyDeeky21 You can't do EX axe kick since it knocks down. Medium axe kick is the way to go.

殺意リュウチートすぎる。カプコンは調整が下手すぎで困るわ。コンボ一つでスパコン並みのダメージ与えられるとかやられた方は萎えるよ本当。
そのコンボを当てる苦労を体験したことがない人が言うセリフだね。体力は紙だし通常技の性能はあまり良くないから立ち回り苦労するし
POOH 今返信するのもあれだけど昔のゲームなんかひとつのコンボでも食らったら体力全部持ってかれるゲームとか普通にあったぞ
