You know something that sucks? Forgetting stuff. As someone with ADHD, I find myself forgetting stuff all the time, but there’s a specific type of thing that always stings the most to leave behind. Forgetting a feeling. Like most others in this comic section, I was an avid sonic shorts watcher when I was a child, and I would spend HOURS cackling at what I thought was the peak of comedy, stuff that can only get a chuckle out of me now but, at the time it was my everything. I remember just sitting in the moment, enjoying myself, free of worry, and then, it ended.. And this song right here played over the credits of sonic running. It’s like a snapshot. Every single time I listen to this song, I’m reminded of the times were responsibilities were barely a concept of my mind, I watched tv all day on saturdays, and hung out with friends outside until the stars came up.. This song conjures those emotions within me on every play, and feels like the only time I can remember those times with perfect clarity. I shouldn’t be getting this sappy over a sonic song, but I really mean this from the bottom of my heart. *Thank you.* For creating something that dwells in the heart of me, and many others. ❤

@@FormerlyKnownAsGN From what I've seen, I think this is one of the better family guy sketches, compare this to the one with elmer and bugs, it isn't funny, its just violent, imagine if there wasn't blood, it wouldn't punch, but this one seems well written, and feels like what wile e probably would do if he caught the roadrunner, it isn't too violent, the roadrunner does die a bloody death, but that's about it, this seems like something that warner brothers could of made in an alternate timeline or something (without the blood, swearing, and Christian joke)

Anytime. I hear this song I think of the bad ending where you failed to save Tails. He's only 6 in the classic era but 8 in the modern. Point is, it's dark when you think aboit it. I know this ending isn't canon, but think. Even if Tails isn't dead, there's no telling what Eggman could've done. For all we know, in this timeline he could've been killed wifh the chaos emeralds, or even roboticized, or worse. We don't know what could've happened to Tails. And that alone is a scary thought. Plus this is legit the first actual time Sonic snd Tails actually meet. Not the genesis version like most people would assumed.

I remember when I was younger, I downloaded this song via RUclips to mp3 and put it on my Nintendo 3DS SD Card and listened to it in the sound app. Now I don't use handheld gaming systems to listen to music.
Oddly enough, the animator of the ending credits sequence in Sonic Shorts Volume 8, BoozermaN, collaborated with me on that. :) This track was already getting a fair amount of traffic before Sonic Shorts Volume 8 and I pitched the idea of using this song to him in a sequence that would have seen Sonic running through various zones from past games. Instead, BoozermaN ended up emulating the ending credits sequence of the Master System / Game Gear version of Sonic 2 and threw in references from all the previous Sonic Shorts Volumes all over the place. I could not have imagined a better ending to Sonic Shorts Volume 8. Man, did BoozermaN deliver on that one. ^_^ At any rate, glad to see you enjoyed this track and thanks a lot for the feedback. :)
