    How do y’all find these awesome places to try out ?

    • @TheNextRidge
      @TheNextRidge  6 лет назад +2

      These off-grid, primitive cabins are owned and maintained by the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC). You can view their availability and reserve through their website. Some of these are for members only so feel free to check out their membership option as well! Let us know if you have any other questions.

      What type of packs do you recommend for your pups ? I have a 2 year old , 40 lb. pup that’s likes to hike, so I need a pack for her.

    • @TheNextRidge
      @TheNextRidge  6 лет назад +1

      We use a pack made by Ruffwear for our pup and it works wonders! We highly recommend checking them out!

    It seems like a lot work for one night. If I have hall in and it's more then 10 steps from the car I'm staying a week.

    • @TheNextRidge
      @TheNextRidge  5 лет назад

      Hah, it IS a lot of work for a single night especially arriving late in the day. Fortunately we love the whole process so it is still enjoyable to us. We'll take car camping too :)

    • @TheNextRidge
      @TheNextRidge  6 лет назад +1

      He'll be going on a portion of it with us, yes! Once it starts to warm up Oakley will join us on the trail 👍

      When you capture the moment when Oakley seating at the front porch and looking out, it is just like he is having a moment of reflection, just like some people do... That scene is meaningful.

    • @TheNextRidge
      @TheNextRidge  5 лет назад +1

      We thought so too! He often does this when he goes outside. He loves to sit out and enjoy the view and smells. It makes us happy to see him in moments like this. Glad you enjoyed it as well!

    • @keithng128
      @keithng128 5 лет назад +1

      Oh yeah! immensely!
      What not to enjoy seeing Happy people especially with theirs happy and well treated doggie buddy doing things that most of us would love to do?
      I must say Thanks Guys!

    The last person shouldn’t be allowed to use state parks for 2 years. If you have no curtsey for the next person you shouldn’t be able to use the cabins.

    • @TheNextRidge
      @TheNextRidge  5 лет назад

      Agreed! It is pretty disrespectful to leave without setting the next person up with firewood, cleaning the cabin, etc.
