Hi Shawn , I have been watching the progress of your Log Cabin In The Forest since its beginning , I have to say that it's been much more than a cabin building lesson for me . From learning how to use natural materials harvested from the forest using absolutely no power tools as well as your Self Reflections at the ending of each video , I have learned much more about myself my dreams and goals that I've realized through your teachings are even at the age of 57 , still obtainable for me. Thank you Shawn. I do have to say although we have never physically met and we come from completely different lifestyles, I consider us friends . So I'll finish this long comment with two simple words . Thank you.

Thank you for showing us there are still good men around will old fashioned skills.
Love the video! After watching all of the cabin videos, this video truly gives the viewer (or at least me ) a true appreciation of the level of work and pride taken for ONE man to accomplish this task. This is truly a work of art!! Well Done!
DarkClow 1983 1)I don't think the word genocide means what you think it means. 2) He plants new trees. 3) It's a demonstration, not a housing project. 4) In many instances using "modern materials" would consume far more natural resources than it would to build something with the resources at hand.

Thank you for sharing this snapshot of your life with us, and I look forward to hearing from you in the future!
This is my dream. You are a well done hero from Algeria
Thank you.
Thank YOU
Hi, Shawn.
As a Brazilian lady, living in Michigan for the last 14 years, I am truly amazed with your perseverance, your strength and courage. I agreed when you said about all these bad people criticizing you. You know, in Brazil we say: “ It’s easy pointing fingers when they are not on your place or under someone’s shoes!” Nobody pays your bills!
Some people are SO LITTLE!!!!
You are enthusiastic, you don’t give up!
Be proud of yourself as all your nice subscribers are, including myself!
In my concept you are big example of life! Congratulations! Happy New Year!

wow. my back hurts just watching this. Amazing work.
Chris Romero, LOL SAME!
My hand hurts. All that manual sawing. :o I've cut trees down with a buck saw and just cutting through a single tree is quite a lot of work. Cross cutting an entire log into planks... :o
Best description of self reliance
He's an extraordinary craftsman with a strong initiative to do what he did. There are so few now!
Agreed
Hillsong. Yes i am
I aspire to be an extraordinary one day!!!
One of the most unbelievable videos on youtube.. thank you recommended list
As a former cabinet maker and woodworker who owned a production kitchen cabinet shop this guy is a true Craftsman anybody that can build a log cabin with hand tools whoa impressive
Home sweet home, just your positive happy self with your dog, the great spirit and mother nature, well done
One of the most amazing things I've ever seen a man build.
I have friends building a similar home outside Fairbanks AK. I know how much work goes into a project like this and they have help. Although your video does a great job it doesn’t show the sweat, bloody knuckles, frustrating do overs and sore muscles for a year or more. You are a rare breed of man not seen in this day and age. Thank you for showing us there are still good men around will old fashioned skills.
Love the video! After watching all of the cabin videos, this video truly gives the viewer (or at least me ) a true appreciation of the level of work and pride taken for ONE man to accomplish this task. This is truly a work of art!! Well Done!
I have nothing but huge admiration and respect for you.
I wish you all the best. 🙏
I'm always amazed at how someone could downvote a video like this. What the heck is the problem?
Great video.
it's genocide of trees. That was not needed in 21 ST. You can use more modern materials.
DarkClow 1983 1)I don't think the word genocide means what you think it means. 2) He plants new trees. 3) It's a demonstration, not a housing project. 4) In many instances using "modern materials" would consume far more natural resources than it would to build something with the resources at hand.
surfbouy you... Just... Served.... That.... Millennial....
DarkClow 1983: so where do u think the wood came from to build all the other houses...do u live outside?
DarkClow 1983: what material 'wood' you use?
Wow. Just wow.
(I love the way that the seasons just casually drift by in the background.)
That is one of the best videos I've seen in a long time. Thank you for those awesome 5 minutes. Finally 5 well spent minutes on RUclips!
Il n'y a pas de mot pour dire combien j'admire votre travail, votre patience et votre force. C'est magnifique, j'aurais bien envie de vivre là loin de la fureur du monde. Merci pour ce partage !
First video ever that I put on 0,5 speed and actually really enjoyed it👍
dallas168 The sound is weird though... but I agree
That was quite beautiful. So lovely to see someone following their dreams and working hard to achieve them. Well done!
I untangled my water hose today
💪🏾
I untangled my earbuds 💪
Without a video it didn't happen.
@@jimkonst 😂🤣
I untangled my hair today 💪
I lost my wallet...
Un rêve touché des yeux ! Merci
What an incredibly talented and driven man i am truly inspired
That was hard .i appreciate that man
I've done manual timber harvests and some timber fabrication here in Florida and love this video! Manual labor, hand tools, perseverance and skill is not only extremely practical but can also be profitable! Sitting in an office in front of a computer is slow motion suicide.
Douglas J. O'Brien
Literally laughing out loud as I read your post!
Douglas J. O'Brien
Slow motion suicide 😁
Put beautifully 👍🏼
Douglas J. O'Brien hell yea bro i dont do thiss kinda of work but i rebuild motors and transmission for gm and every year they are different
Douglas J. O'Brien You could of built your own log cabin in the time it took you to commit this slow motion suicide.

this is a man who knows what he wants in life, and it's nothing that cost him a fortune, its NATURE, PEACE, AND QUIET...And it also shows this man can work his ass off....I love your videos!.
Going from watching primitive videos on making small houses to this really shows the change proper well made tools has got us
@Negasso Kadir Haha same here tbh
@@AAARREUUUGHHHH Same for me lmaoo
Jupp, same here xD
Me too
He is very very strong man and very clever.
People who dislike this are probably just envious. They know they don’t have the grit to do something like this and never will. Fantastic video
Francisco Duran , This project was awe inspiring, PERIOD!! Forget the money forget the time, the man did something one in 10,000 could not do! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!
Francisco Duran we could give you all the time and money in the world and you couldn’t duplicate that in your lifetime. You’re really good at RUclips comments though. Keep up the great work.
😁👋👍
I was about to dislike it because I felt it skipped so many crucial steps I wanted to see, but then I matured for some reason after watching this at an extraordinary rate and hit the Like anyway
I'm envious, but I'm upvoting the video.
This is easily one of the coolest things / accomplishments I've ever seen! Amazing job good sir!
It is really cool... But to say it's one of the most amazing accomplishments you've ever seen? We broke the speed of sound. We mastered flight. We traveled to the moon. We cured malaria. And this used to be very common thing to do, few centuries ago, noone would bat an eye... Sure, it's cool, but come on.
I started day dreaming watching this. It took me away. Real great job. Amazing
I love the pretty wood house, so relaxing in the middle of prairie..such a nice family. How I wish I could live there. I'm Celia watching from Philippines. God bless, you are an inspiration. Good luck...
Skill that not many have, God bless your talents!
I'm simply amazed!
