I put this song in my Top 10 best Whitney songs because of my connection with it. I was also struggling in life when this song was released. So it gave me some comfort back then.

I know some truly terrible things happen here on Earth that make no sense and just take us to a new level of anger, rage, and despair. I want you to know that those feelings are absolutely valid and a shaking of faith is absolutely normal and valid as well. When I didn’t know if I still had my faith anymore, because I was losing it so rapidly, it actually angered me when people tried to tell me about God and how much He loved me because even though their intentions were good, I just wasn’t ready to hear that. I just wanted people to understand my pain. I wish I could give you a hug, Clark. I know there is not much I can say to comfort you after losing your mother, but this message spoke to me at a time when I really needed it. Hope this also speaks to your soul, friend.
