She may have a valid point, but it's not for the public to hear. When Prince opened a for The Rolling Stones, he got booed. I guarantee you not one of those people who showed up to that concert will admit to that now.
Wow! Well maybe she should do more tours like this and use that to her advantage to strengthen her versatility. Some were saying that the crowd was really young, well I remember listening to music like hers when I was super young, so its not impossible for her to succeed after awhile if she keeps trying and not crying about it.

Issues with that is does her Label think that is a good investment if not start doing a underground thing until the momentum picks up
First off they didn’t listen to the whole live, she paid respects for that opportunity; secondly she answered a fans question.

If she didnt feel comfortable in front of ROD WAVE'S CROWD, then she should not have continued with the tour. She sounds completely ungrateful for the opportunity he gave her. To be out here complaining like she is, who does she think will ever call her again to be an opening act for them.
I don’t think she was forced. I think the money made sense and she did it. But realized it was too much for her. But all this victim sympathetic stuff is weak.

@@Buk718 Ain't nun wrong with a person expressing their frustration, we're human. Ari Lennox been in the industry for a minute and has never had this issue so it's natural that she's going to feel thrown off by it.
Ari is super talented and I’m a fan of her music, but at some point she has to take accountability for her own choices. Her complaining about some aspect of performance is becoming consistent theme in her career.
I hate how it so often seems like all the men on this show act like because they’re men they can’t relate to anything a woman has to say. We’re different… but more the same than different. At some point they need to realize they’re just stereotypically closed minded.

Joe wasn’t there. If he went to one of them shows he would understand. The crowd was in the 14-24 age range. Ari makes grown R&B music. It didn’t matter how great a performance she put on the crowd will understand her music with age. They’ll regret it eventually but right now nah.
So who’s job is it for AL to know what the demo is for shows she about to do? Someone in her camp ain’t doing their job.

Joe is too passive in this in my honest opinion. It’s gotta make sense for the tour and it didn’t. Also a bottle was thrown at her. The music content between the two aren’t fitting. I feel like her manager and cole green lit the situation. Because cole did the KOD tour w/thug on the lineup. But that made sense with cole’s content and moral of the album. But that’s just me

Ari can share how she feels on her platform about her tour...not going the way she expected....about being assalted on her tour etc. Also these men overtalk and make side comments EVERY TIME MEL SPEAKS. So for Joe to try & shut her down when she chimes in is CRAZY. Ari was under contract she couldnt just quit. Lastly Joe has way too much energy for this story.

A well rounded tour lineup will make or break every stop on that tour, just having a few names together won’t always make a great show. A very good amount of Rod’s music is sad and depressing low key. People come for that energy. Darkness can’t exist in the light. It’s coo just wasn’t her vibe, chalk it up and move on.

As a woman who has endured the crassness of the video girl era, Melyssa should have spoken up more. She just sat there as if she was in agreement.
