- In today's video, I pay a visit to The Armoury of St. James's to pick up an exciting new purchase for my home: a 1939 watercolor of St. James's Palace. One of the things I love most about London are all of the different layers. Despite all my travel, I am constantly discovering new and incredible facets to this remarkable city.

I first noticed a big step up in the quality of Kirby's videos a couple of years ago. I assumed he'd invested in a new camera. In any case, the difference is plainly evident and much appreciated.

Really more to the new editing team we begin using about two years ago. That and professional local crews. But more the editing team than anything else.
What a stunning painting. St James's Palace is my favourite palace, and St James's has always been my favourite area, it exudes such a wonderful atmosphere, both day, and night.

Beautiful painting Kirby. I always try to invest in museum quality glass which is non reflective. The difference is remarkable.

A lovely video. This would be outside of the scope of the channel, but should you ever wish to feature “quality, craftsmanship, and tradition from days of yore”, you could have, say, Matt Easton talk you would though the golden age of British sword design (up to about WWI and just after), in particular the non-regulation ‘fighting swords’ made by Wilkinson.
Let’s hope Bianca doesn’t relegate the picture to your humidor room!
