Fascinating stuff...for some reason I was expecting just a few dancers to dance around the maypole like we do in the UK so it was nice to see everyone dancing instead! The head pieces reminded me a lot of that film, 'Midsommar'.

I didn't know this celebration. Never seen that before. People of all ages enjoying being together outdoor, celebrating summer and playing like children.
It is one of Sweden's oldest traditions, Midsummer Eve, we have celebrated Midsummer since the Iron Age, although of course it has changed over time.

I was so overjoyed when I saw this! As an American who wishes to visit Sweden during this time I thought I wouldn’t be able to partake in any Midsummer celebrations without knowing a Swede ( I thought the celebrations only happened in Swedes’s countryside homes ). So thrilled this is somewhere I can go and get a real Midsummer experience in Stockholm! Thank you so much! I absolutely adore your channel-you’re the best! ❤️❤️❤️
