Everytime you post, I have to stop everything, turn off my kids’ shows and turn you on my 78” TV. It’s basically an event. Turn off all the lights, get the speakers set at a nice volume and just… vibe. Thanks brother for being such a light in this darkened world. Makes all of us look forward to something. We REALLY appreciate you! Hope your holidays were great!!!!
i’m 55 years old and we started going there when I was in the fourth grade. They had just transformed the town into a Bavarian mountain town. They were in dire need of money because the lumber meals had shut down and Helen was in dire need of jobs. This is what they did. I’ve enjoyed going back there every year since.
I don't think that many people realize how biodiverse and how many different landscapes Georgia and alabama have. Mountains, farmland, the coast, big cities, small towns. Truly an awesome area to live in
As a German I can say the food looked pretty authentic, The Town looks shockingly similar to Towns we have here in Germany. Awesome Video Trent! Keep it up!
Bro I cried watching your videos today.... Just in the moment life seems senseless I saw your videos and saw the good side of the life and how nice the world can be.... Thank you♥️
I was stationed in Germany from 1988-1992 and was there when the Berlin Wall came down. The food, buildings, cobblestone streets, I miss it so very much. That food everywhere is so awesome!!
Really I was there from 89 to 97 ( extended) I got there right before the wall came down , I was stationed in Schwienfurt ( Conn barracks) Bravo Company 3rd support, I was attached to 3/64 armor ( tank battalion) I agree I miss Germany too!!! Loved it there!!!
I'm recently binge watching all of your camping videos, you have immense skills of editing and the ability of capturing moments extraordinarily, it truly feels like I'm there with you. After a long day of studying I watch your videos while drinking my black hot chocolate and it feels heavenly. I love your persona and your cute pup millie. Please upload more often like this. Blessings and love to your sweet van, you and millie 🤍
Hey Mr. eyecandy! It is indeed German and authentic. We live in Seattle Washington and have a town called Leavenworth that does the same decorations at Christmas. This town of Leavenworth serves German food. Sooo goood. Be safe. And yes you would make a good contestant on the show. Say hey to Millie.
As a German from the northern half, i can say that our citys/towns don't look like that at all. (but you will see them in the southern half) The food is also a typical south-german dish but you can find it everywhere in Germany. (Love your videos❤)
I fully agree. It's more the classic cliché of Germany, but it's done in a funny way. Schnitzel is of course one of the classics, even if there is much more than just that. But I'm glad you enjoyed it. Keep going! Super inspiring videos!!
I believe that was spätzle, I think pronounced (spat-zla / long a sound), are a type of Central European egg noodles typically served as a side dish. I lived in Las Vegas for a while and dated someone who was German. We frequented a German restaurant, and that was always one of my favorites. Love this little town and the history!
Nice pronounciation.. 😊 i agree. looks exactly like Spätzle. Those traditional German Restaurants are obviously the best. We have all Kind of fancy Restaurants due to the different cultures here. But nothing better then a Wirtshaus Schnitzel.. at least in my opinion. Brown thick Sauce, Spätzle or Knödel. ❤ Love it
My mom was German, and I've been to Germany. I grew up with German food, and had the awesome food in Germany. Wow, that town looked like Germany, and that food looked authentic!!
I had the privilege of having the chance to go to Germany when I was 14. Absolutely loved it. It is such a beautiful county and the Germans are actually really nice people. I'm still in awe when I think about the massive size of the Cologne Cathedral. Oh, and the FOOD! It's SO good.
Helen is a great little weekend town! You are not far from Anna Ruby Falls and a short drive from Brasstown Bald, the highest point in GA! So glad you got to hang out in my favorite little town!
this video made my mouth water, I lived in Germany for six years as an Army Brat and our family loved the food and still have it when we come across things such as Bratties - if you can get Zempf I highly recommend it, a German Mustard with extra kick. Schnitzel is Veal (or can now be chicken); Jaeger is the sauce made of peppers while my favourite is veal fried with breadcrumbs served with a creamy mushroom sauce. 😋
Helen, GA is a beautiful little town. Especially during Christmas. I've watched every episode of Survivor since it came on and absolutely you should apply for the show. You would be perfect. You should get Millie a raincoat and a big fluffy towel to dry her off afterwards. She might hate the rain a little less.
I really love and appreciate the start of this video. It realistically portrays a vanlife morning. It doesn't romanticize anything. Just real for what it is. And I appreciate that so much.
Went here during Covid a couple years ago - shocking how many people were still just walking around and going about their day. All the food we had and beer we drank were great. Hiking was also awesome. Really want to go back soon
I’ve lived in Georgia my whole life and grew up going to Helen every fall. So this was truly the most close to home video for me you’ve ever made, especially when you went into Betty’s, as that’s literally my favorite store there that I have so many memories of. The town has gained a lot of publicity though the past several years so it is a bit saddening how crowded it is today with much more stern rules than what I’m used to. A lot of the cabin rentals there though that I used to stay at have recently been switching to Airbnb, which is really annoying because of course that brings along all of Airbnb’s BS fees.
If you're ever out adventuring in the NW, you should check out the town of Leavenworth in Washington state. It's another Bavarian village in the mountains like this one.
Hey Trent, just wanted to tell you that your videos have helped me with developing a new perspective on life. I moved from a very large city that didn't have much of anything with adventure and getting out of the confines of a city and I moved because of a career all the way mid west. Immediately I got depressed and became a recluse and got really unhealthy until I found your channel. Your channel has helped me change my outlook on life and get out and experience my surroundings in a new way. Because of this, I hike throughout the week and on the weekends and have eliminated my unhealthy habits and I'm on recovery. I can't thank you enough for allowing me to get out and live life. Thanks so much.
There’s a place like that out here in the central coast of California. It’s a town called Solvang. I’ve been there multiple times, and it is very cozy feeling.
I have a really fond memory of this town when I was a kid. It was so random. Couldn’t remember where exactly this was. I just knew it was in Georgia somewhere. Thanks for shedding light on this.
This channel is just a vibe, i can chill an relax so hard to these videos. That said, the town looks more like what not-german people would think a German town looks like instead of an actual German town, to me it looks more Austrian/Swiss then German
I've been there multiple times, you should go during the summer, they have tube rafting. you can have an hour long ride or a 2 hour long ride. So much fun
All your videos bring my family together around the TV, and we appreciate the wonder of following your videos, your little dog. We're happy about your achievements and even happier to share moments with you. Congratulations on your excellent work; you've created a family moment in my home. We from Brasil
I discovered your channel a few weeks ago, and all I can say is that you're living my dream, seeing your vids where you're so connected with the outdoors, your adventures, your humbleness, your gratefulness and your authenticity. Wish I could have something like this.
I love Helen, GA. Such a cute place. October has a pretty gnarly October Fest and Hot Air Balloon Festival. Also, Cleveland is about 10 miles down the road and has the Cabbage Patch Kid Babyland Hospital
Just found you today. The first video was of you in Maine. I live in the valley of Mt Washington, in New Hampshire. I recently lost my job that I really wasn't satisfied or fulfilled with. Seeing how you are able to live this life of yours with such joy and freedom is really making me assess my own life and what I really want. I'm a 45 year old, still just trying to find my place in this big world. Thank you and I look forward to following you and the journeys that are to come.
It’s been decades since I have been to Helen. Grown a lot. I used to live in Germany and Helen looks like it for sure. Love you put covers over your dog and buy a gift for her. Travel well.
Hey Trent, i havent commented on a video in a While but im still completely loving your videos. Your Videos adds a lot of extra calm into my life and that i can never get enough of. Keep being you Trent thats what we are here for, take care!
Born and raised in ATL proper. Been to Helen 5 times in life and fell in love with the town at the age of 11. My 1st time was in 1986 with my parents and siblings. Its still just as beautiful as the first time I went!
Loved this video. My parents were born in Germany and I’m very familiar with authentic German food. One of our favorites is Jager Schnitzel which you had ordered in the town of Helen. It really did look delicious. Love the red cabbage and the spaezle (which you referred to as gnocchi). That is definitely my favorite but it needs to have either a butter sauce or brown gravy to complete the flavoring. So glad you enjoyed the food and looks like you did a pretty great job with the brats, sauerkraut and fried onions. I think you could pass for German👍. What a beautiful town Helen is. It really looks like an authentic German town from Germany. Loved the way it was lit up at night. Thanks for the great video. Totally enjoyed it. You never disappoint😊😊
Also Trent, I live about 20 mi from Helen Georgia, and June the 1st the hot air balloons will take off over in the pasture just left of town and travel to the Atlantic Ocean and it is a sight to behold. I highly recommend the balloon races out of Helen Georgia just is amazing to see all the balloons taken off from there.
I have literally binged watched all of Trent’s videos because they are just so damn entertaining! Trent your editing is just insanely good and I’m glad I’m here for a new upload! 🙏🏽
Glad you're back hope you're holidays were amazing....millie is such an awesome pup she so loves you dude always love seeing your videos and millie.... appreciate all you do to bring us the amazing content that you do it takes allot of work and $$ and many may not understand the work it takes to make quality content stay safe out there
Years ago I went to Helen Georgia during October fest. Stayed at Unicoi State Park. Loved eating the waffles for breakfast and nibbling on the chocolate all day. Delicious foods throughout the town! Breathtaking views everywhere. Thanks for taking me back
I actually was in Helen Georgia a while ago before my dad and I found your videos, it's surreal to see you going to the same areas we did while we were there, and we got to ride the roller coaster that was there too :D It was fun, well for my family at least, I didn't ride it because I don't like roller coasters.
I love this video. That German town is so cool. I would love to visit there. The German food you ate looked so good. I'm part German myself, and that is the right food to eat. Keep making awesome videos. Have a great day. 😊
Ever since I've watched your Thanksgiving Feast and Area 51 Video. I knew I was watching something different. I was hooked ESPECIALLY with the Christmas Videos. Whenever I get a Notification that you uploaded, Just Pure immense joy Man, I mean That. Hope You Know you're appreciated And Looked Up to Buddy. God Bless Millie and Ya! 🙏😄
Hello Trent! Im kind of a newbie here, i discovered your channel accidentally, but oh boy were i lucky, your videos are literaly awesome and they are a comfort for me, because im living a really difficult situation and your videos just make me happier, they make me forget my problems, so Trent, i really wanted to thank you for everything good you've done for me, thank you Trent, have a good night, and may God bless you!❤
Hey Trent love your videos man. You should check out a town called Solvang out near Santa Barbara, CA and Leavenworth, WA outside of Seattle. Both are great German/ Bavarian style places.
Love you, Trent! Thank you so much for always bringing so much joy into all of our lives. We really do appreciate all you do and who you are! Continue shining and striving! ❤️
My grandma is from a bc Bavarian town, but it's getting away from the Bavarian look for some reason, I as a kid loved it's some of my favorite memories. Thanks 👍🇨🇦💫
I get a “peaceful easy feeling” when I watch your videos. I don’t know what it is about you: the way you treat Millie so gently? the way you clean up after yourself all the time? The video angles you shoot from? How the food you make always looks so delicious? Sometimes I wish you weren’t alone (or maybe I just wish I was with you and your “peaceful easy feeling vibe”) but I know the loneliest I ever was, was in a bad relationship. I know being alone doesn’t = loneliness. Thank you for sharing yourself with me and a “few” others! ❤
I think you should get out there and start chatting up some guys ! You sound like a down to earth lady and thats what guys really love in a woman. Wish you goodluck and i bet you wont be alone for long 😊❤
The hike you were preparing for, looked like a major, but well done, you reached your destination and what a view, aye?...I would never have reached that far...lol...The town ' Helen '...Very beautiful place and I can see why people go to visit...The food looked gorgeous and your facial expressions, said it all...Loving Millie, as per usual...She is such a honey and she seems to love the journey you take her to...I don't blame her for disliking the rain...I mean, who like's to relieve themselves, when it's raining...She definitely liked her new toy...' Survivor ' reality show...LOVE THAT SHOW!...BIG FAN...I think being on the show, a person would have to be quite ruthless, athletic and likable...I normally know within the first two episodes, who I like and who I dislike...If it's your plan to try out, GO FOR IT!...I'll follow you and Millie wherever you decide to roam...From Auckland New Zealand, take care young lad and loved seeing my name at the end! 🤣😅😂
Happy new year Trent! Loved the video as always and sure love seeing Millie Too!! She's so darn cute and living her best life! You're such a great Dog Dad!! Love from California!
I lived in Georgia for about 3 years and went to Helen 2-3 times and was shocked at how much it looked like “Germany”. I loved visiting the North Georgia as well as the western area of North Carolina
Fabulous post Trent 🙏 Millie with her toy , my heart just bloomed ❤💖💗💞❤️🔥 and referring to yourself as a barbarian just made me laugh out loud 😂🤣 I certainly don't think you are otherwise I am 😅 You're just real 😊 xxx
My maiden name is Dahlem and I've always wanted to do my genealogy but can't find anything before my great great grandfather came to the United States because I can't read German
I don't know where you normally go to eat, but what he had didn't look so good to me. The schnitzel was yellow and the breading still looked kind of raw. The spaetzle looked good, but it looked more like cheese spaetzle, which, like the red cabbage, didn't go with the Jägerschnitzel at all. So the individual components did, but the plate as a whole wasn't really authentic.
My husband recently introduced me to your channel, and now we always watch your videos together. We absolutely love your content and admire it so much. Your perspective on everything is so refreshing. Even our 11 month old sits with us and watches..he loves to watch you cook! 😆
I lived in Germany as a teenager with my dad, I wish I stayed there it’s an amazing country and I love the people. If i could i would move back in a heartbeat ❤
@phantagirlable very same situation here in Ireland, it’s really getting out of hand, i can’t see an improvement happening anytime soon so I do understand. ❤️
Trent! Thanks so much - Helen was my stomping ground during college. Went to Truett and was the original muralist for the Cabbage Patch Kids, working with Xavier, Robin & Jeff in the beginning. Great video and it brought back beautiful memories. Rock on ... Drive on :) ... oh yeah, Mt Yonah ... tore my car up going up & down that thing!
As far as a German from North Rhine-Westphalia can tell, I would say it looks authentic. The town is reminiscent of the old "Fachwerkhäuser" that you tend to find in the east or south of Germany. Occasionally you can still find them in the west, but less so due to the extensive bombing during the Second World War. 🙂I hope you can understand my English. It's been a while since I actually used it. 🙄😃
Dude every time you post a video it’s the first thing I watch after my day is done! Your videos are the best no matter how much you do or where you go! Thank you and keep up the awesome work!
I love to watch your videos. They are comforting to me and I always look forward to them. I’ve rewatched all of your videos several times. I appreciate you putting yourself out there to entertain us. God bless you :)
Another great video! And I thought Little Switzerland in N.C. was unusual! This is a beautiful spot you found. I don't live that far from it, but I've never heard of it. I'll definitely have to go sometime. Stay safe and pet Milly for me 👍
Okay, first things first. You would be a perfect Survivor contestant. I would absolutely be your biggest fan!🥰 Millie has the best dad. She loves her toy. Thanks for another great video!❤
There is another Bavarian style town similar to this called Leavenworth in Washington State in the Cascade Mountains. They have a really cool tree lighting ceremony at Christmas time. If you’re ever in Washington State you should check it out.
I appreciate the music in your videos. Currently digging into some past episodes as I enjoy your trip to Alaska currently. Brotha, check out the band stick figure for some great ocean hunting, soul searching vibes. Listen to one album, and if you're not feeling the peace and tranquility, I'll be surprised. Thank you for sharing your journey with us all.
You and milllie and your videos are awesome. Thank you so much for taking us along on your journeys. It's always a fun time, looking forward to what's next,,
I just found your channel like 3 months ago ive literally watched every video, you make me want to do Van life sooooooo bad. Great content you're the best!!!!!
That server knew what he was talking about. Jägerschnitzel is my Faviurite. My dad is German/ Sudetenland. I have been to German-focused towns like Fredricksburg Texas. But I have never heard of Helen Georgia thanks for letting us know about it.
I visited Helen several years back and fell in love with it. Perhaps someday I might end up getting a small cabin there. The people are wonderful, and Helen is just a great little German town all together..
I work online in the morning and play in a band at night. Every your video comes out, I watch and listen to it while working. Don't know why but it somehow separates my two different worlds. It's very much relaxing in the morning while watching your videos. Thank you very much for your amazing content.
This town is literally 30 minutes from my home town! Glad you enjoyed Helen, its fun to spend some time there just to walk around and eat snacks and look at stuff!
Your face when you tried the Jagerschnitzel! And yes, it ALL looks authentic! Schnitzel is amazing and not hard to make at all, you should do it on your channel!
If you ever go to the PNW and go to Leavenworth I’d love to say hello! I live 45 minutes away from it! It’s just like this town! It was just nominated by GMA as “the most Christmas town in America”!😂 love the vids! Keep it up!

This brings me back memories. I use to go to college in Northern GA and this brings back so many memories.

8:42 When I see the coat of arms of my home state on the ceiling of a restaurant in Georgia, I can't help but freaking smile.😄
Love the cozy vibe of your video! Thank you for taking us along with you and Millie! Happy travels. ❤☺️
Years ago I went to Helen Georgia during October fest. Stayed at Unicoi State Park. Loved eating the waffles for breakfast and nibbling on the chocolate all day. Delicious foods throughout the town! Breathtaking views everywhere. Thanks for taking me back
Awesome video! Loved seeing how happy Millie was with her new toy! haha

I second Leavenworth! Leavenworth is gorgeous and very fun, especially during the holidays!
i used to go to helen often as a child for rafting in the river, its very peaceful there and beautiful
Thanks 👍🇨🇦💫
FINALLY, I was starting to get crazy without your content.
WE have always wanted to visit . Thank you for taking us there !
Go for it!!! Apply!!! You never know till you try😊....love your videos. It's fun watching your adventures, it feels like we're right there with ya!
As a German, that town looks more German than most towns here. The food was very authentic, pretty much how it looks like in our restaurants.
My maiden name is Dahlem and I've always wanted to do my genealogy but can't find anything before my great great grandfather came to the United States because I can't read German
The way most of Europe rebuilt after WW2 is truly a shame, lots of national identity went away after the reconstruction.
@@muetzle_He said the food was delicious, take the man at his word.
Findest du? Ich fand das schnitzel jetzt nicht sehr ansprechend. Bei uns im Süden ist da meistens noch mit Salat garniert etc
If i could i would move back in a heartbeat ❤
why arent you moving here then? whats stopping you? :)
@phantagirlable very same situation here in Ireland, it’s really getting out of hand, i can’t see an improvement happening anytime soon so I do understand. ❤️
@@maddinek money I guess, for now but I will get there
Your pronouns so clear, so I understand 95% your words without subs (Living in Russia and English not my native language). Thanks for videos!
Hey Trent, playing catch-up on your vids. The noodle dish was spaetzle which is an egg noodle dish. You should also get Millie a doggy raincoat. 😆 😇
Funnel cake!! I like the grocery store reminds me of Sprouts in San Diego, CA. Mountain top view is breathtaking and nice Georgia scenery. 👍👍
Love your channel. You bring calmness to our hectic life. Thank you and we hope you keep rolling. Fans from Finland.❤
I would absolutely be your biggest fan!🥰
Millie has the best dad. She loves her toy. Thanks for another great video!❤
I've been watching every day for a new vid, awesome! Always looking forward to the next
There is another Bavarian style town similar to this called Leavenworth in Washington State in the Cascade Mountains. They have a really cool tree lighting ceremony at Christmas time. If you’re ever in Washington State you should check it out.
It's so nice following your adventure, seems we are also enjoying seeing new places too. Thanks for sharing.. ☺️🙏
Looking for your next adventure.. 😀👍
Your vids are the best bro,its so relaxing and refreshing watching it while laying in bed nice and cozy enjoying the videos you post
Idk how but these videos bring a weird type of cozy feeling.....
Keep it up sir
I visited Helen several years back and fell in love with it. Perhaps someday I might end up getting a small cabin there. The people are wonderful, and Helen is just a great little German town all together..
Welcome to GA! My son and I camped in Helen last Thanksgiving. Loved it. We drive up there as often as possible.
I enjoy your videos every time you post. I want visit this little towns like my father did when he was alive.
Your face when you tried the Jagerschnitzel! And yes, it ALL looks authentic! Schnitzel is amazing and not hard to make at all, you should do it on your channel!
I’ve seen that show Survivor, my mother loves it haha. Honestly it’s no question you should 100% do it. It’s a experience of a lifetime.
I love watching those van camping and travelling videos. I wish i could get my own campervan one day even it's impossible
Love the wood panels on the walls great touch
If you ever go to the PNW and go to Leavenworth I’d love to say hello! I live 45 minutes away from it! It’s just like this town! It was just nominated by GMA as “the most Christmas town in America”!😂 love the vids! Keep it up!
