      @@FlowmentumMTB I’m hoping to get out this week coming for a very steady test run which will nearly be a year since my knee went. All going well we will get that ride in 🤞🏼Actually looking forward to getting fit enough to ride my analogue again….he says until the first climb haha

    Nice one Craig. Knowing when to pass on a feature is the secret to being an older mountain biker, when the risk of injury just keeps increasing and chances of bouncing straight back up get smaller and smaller.

      Soo true Darren, I don’t normally skimp on Features I know but on this day with the heat I honestly just couldn’t have been bothered. The risk is high on this corner, I’ll take the risk if it means getting air time but for a corner there’s no reward for cleaning it.

    Nice riding. I rode those same tracks last week for the first time. Im glad to see I wasnt the only one with that reaction to that dodgy corner at the 5min mark. Rocky drop right into a tight corner into more rocks...yeah I walked it too. Shenanigans and Powerful Hal or Howl or whatever it was called were lots of fun. Blacking out was fun too but some really tricky rocky bits.

    • @FlowmentumMTB
      @FlowmentumMTB  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah it’s a big risk no reward corner, I’ve always done it until this time, just wasn’t interested.
      I didn’t do Powerful howl as I just wanted to get the top 3 in first. Metamorphic although not tec is a great fun trail to ride as well.
      Be sure to check it next time you go.

    Nice video Craig! Good to see you out there shredding my local, keen to ride there with you when my ankle is healed up. Crazy how blown out it is now with no trailcare established yet (still) 😪. Would love to see a bike check from ya including your tyre pressures and where you got the wrap from 🤙

    Humbling to see you mention the Westies corner. Makes me feel better about my own riding 😅 and yes please to a bike check

    • @FlowmentumMTB
      @FlowmentumMTB  10 месяцев назад

      Hah that’s the first time I’ve not done it, it was hot and I wasn’t in the mood to risk it.
      If you crash there’s no easy way out of it and the chances of crashing are high.
      Bike check coming soon.

    Mate since you’ve mentioned it….. why do you ride bars so wide? You still make your movements so fluid with the wide bars

    • @FlowmentumMTB
      @FlowmentumMTB  10 месяцев назад +2

      Maybe everyone has it wrong😬😬.
      Nah I’m broad shouldered and prefer the stability of that little extra width, there is zero restrictions with the wider bars and plenty of advantages. I’ve experimented with everything from 780mm to 840mm.
      At 840mm I could sense a slight delay in response and maneuverability and at 780mm there was a little too much twitch in the faster rough.
      So 820mm is where I found best for me.

    Is it me or is blacking out in need of some TLC - looks in terrible condition. I’m up for a bike check video especially on how to get the cob webs 🕸️ off the bike 😂😂😂😂

      Yeah Kmart the whole network needs a freshen up but I don’t mind it, that’s how trails should be IMO.
      Bike Check coming soon.
