Considering this or the more accomplished HPI maverick flux 2 ST that has a similar look, but much better electronics
Yep! It shares quite a bit with the ramraider. Big old battery tray on this thing. Looks like it has a stretched chassis, improved skid plates, upgraded screw kit, beefed up arms, and a few other things
FSR is not anything new, but this model is! I have one of they’re mini crawler models. They have a decent baseline of brushed and brushless models being buggys, MT’s that have been out for a while now. They have some really high end stuff too! Hope you enjoy this new model brother! It looks epic!

@RC4us thanks for your input! I've seen the 1/8 scale models and they look great and seem to get good reviews. Unfortunately at that price point I'd rather buy arrma than take the risk. I'm hoping parts will be available for this new truck and FSR offers support in the US
Really good review, i dont normaly buy an RC without recaching it but like you i think this is one of the nicest looking trucks ive seen, i have an Arrma talion and have wanted Arrma to make a 3s version for a while now and i recon this truck is as close as I'm gonna get, i put in an order yesterday without seeing any reviews and even though it looks a bit weak in places i dont regret buying it, at the very least it will make a good shelf queen
@harlyquin we think alike! It seems there's many people in the uk that enjoy their Ramraiders, and many in the US enjoyed their helion invictus. This is an improved version of both. Also, upgrade parts are available. My only concern is with the drivetrain, and I've found upgraded billet steel differentials and drivetrain pieces (though not local nor cheap)
I had a similar fsr product before. The 2 dislikes I had were the differentials are very small and have small bearings that blow and the steering radius was horrible. Hopefully they addressed this.
@hugopulido9446 thanks for watching and good details! I'm hopeful for this drivetrain as that will make or break this truck being worth owning. Which model did you own?
From mid-August it will be available in Germany from Conrad as Reely Thor. The brushless version for €255. The chassis is used similarly in other models, such as the Reely Rat Max (aka FTX Rokatan). I hope Conrad will release a kit, like Reely New 1, Dune Fighter 😉
Hey man it's very cool that you're familiar with Reely and the Thor! I'd never heard of that company at all before. 255 Euros puts it a hair under what I paid.
@@VoltUpRC Conrad has a few rebrands from FSR/FTX in Germany under the name Reely in its range and a few as a kit. The vehicles are not as high quality as the current MJX 10208, but they are not bad for beginners, reasonably cheap and quite durable. There are a few threads about the models in our forum. I hope for an kit, because i have an Rockit Combo with 3660 2800KV 😄 You just shouldn't overdo it with the power of the models, the 2S is very durable, the 3S sometimes has to replace the differentials, etc. The smaller ones are nothing for the 4S
I wouldn't think you'd get much speed out of this with 2500-2800kv on 2s? I'm hoping this can handle 3100-3300kv on 3s or this may not be the truck for me. I might start with low punch settings to help out those diffs. I arbitrarily feel 1/10 scales should be able to hit ~50mph
Kinda reminds me of a Arrma Kraton as well. Only smaller. Kinda hope they come with nice blue color option. Truck seems to have good bones all things considered for the price. Most people are going to do certain upgrades right off the bat anyways.
They have a blue black option already that at least on a computer screen doesn't compete (to me) with the red. I can't share that in comments but will post in the fb group. If this drivetrain can hold up I think this car should do very well.
I think you are the first american reviewer if not the only one so far. Been waiting for a video on it! Cant wait to see it run. Of course the promo vids make it look good, but whats it really like? Haha
I'm going to do some size comparisons, speed runs, bashing, and track runs with this truck to get the whole picture. Please subscribe to stay up to date! Thanks for watching!
It is a copy of the Sledge design in detail, including the spoiler, but smaller in scale. Your thing is to test it as it comes from the factory since, above all, the Aliexpress, Bangood or similar buyer is not going to check it before using the car. I believe that a common problem with this type of product is that it is taken out of the box, it has not had adequate quality controls, it begins to be disassembled, the owner becomes disillusioned because he is starting out in the hobby and the car ends up lying in a corner without re-use. Maybe I'm wrong
@Gerar79 ill use it how it comes out of the box and report how it does. Then I'll go over it and refine the assembly and begin to modify. Thanks for watching!
I personally feel if they're not ready to run, they shouldn't be sold as RTR. I feel most of the enthusiasts prefer to buy kits at a lower cost than rushed rtrs with cheap electronics. I feel that's all profit based decisions by the manufacturer, rather than offering the best product they can.
Every vehicle I've seen based on this design has had sluggish steering. I'm not sure if it is due to the linkages and servo saver, or pillow ball design of the front uprights.
Have you heard of the Laegendary Thunder. Its a 1/10 scale brushless 2s-3s capable truck that i saw on amazon selling for only $114 was curious how it was for soo cheap 🤔
The 1/10 laegendary thunder is actually a rebranded ftx carnage 2.0. For me it shows $111 PLUS a 20% off coupon. I did some quick reading on it and it seems to have some pretty terrible reviews. But hey, how bad can a 1/10 brushless truck be for $90? I don't think it's great for crashes and jumps, but I'm sure there's a lot of fun to be had.

Good video, thanks. But the truck... I don´t know. I´ve got an MT10... the quality ist better I think, It´s cheaper than the sniper... better value for the price.
@rob2316 I wouldn't necessarily disagree with you. I got my mt10 and pro4 for $310 with the amain $30 coupon so the price is very similar. I think the electronics are just as poor for each. That mt10 is actually a rebranded helion, and I think the quality is similar, but the durability, center diff, and team ae support make it superior to this fsr. I feel it's a nice addition to a collection, but not superior to the associated 1/10 line. I believe in the uk these fsr's are like $200 which makes them a better value.
