Majority of people working for Transnet and Prasa are there for the paycheque. No dedication, no commitment, no compassion, no respect and love for the job. The Prasa manager who is dedicated and love his job is Mr Raymond Maseko in Cape Town. They really need to up their game when it comes to customer service.
By the way, there are two Rovos Rail trains in Durban currently. Ask yourself why they don’t experience this kind of nonsense every time they travel down to Durban or Cape Town.

Im sorry to see ur journey being ruined by cable theft but I've one question though. Can't they replace the locos with diesel just to jump the defected area or diesel don't run at all due to those long tunnels
@@howardsifiso3649 either way whether the diesels are there or not when things like cable theft happens the train will stop till the area is clear. And yes also some of the reasons you never see diesel locomotives on the Natcor line is because of those long tunnels.

And what time did you get to Park Station?
PRASA does understand trains can travel on diesel locomotive it happens everywhere in the world even Australia and America you cannot stuck people for 12 hours on a stationery train

There only time they changed electricity to diesel it's when it reaches polokwane cause there's no electricity supply to musina .our family members must stop theft period
Sorry man , the train journey was not even a quarter, nevertheless, everyone should expect such situations, though Prasa has no control over long-distance rail as it owned by transet, that no excuse as Prasa fully owns a variety of commuter rails which they dismally fail there also, many people have lost their jobs because of their nonsense service, hence them not owning long-distance rail shouldn't bother us, they Prasa themselves are a huge mess to be given long-distance rail ownership, how can you get long distance when you failing short commuter distance

Your trip on the train Joburg to durban and back bring back memories.Until transnet resolves the sabotage of its infrasructure we will never have a decent rail system.Many of its staff are not passionate about working for transnet,they are just running after the salary,replace the lot of them them.
