@Brook Hall Well, to be honest. Pikachu is the only Pokémon who actually says its name, the rest make sounds like "Groaaar!" and "Fuuush!".
@@Ditidos most pokemon say their name, but not ones like Charizard, Gyarados, Arbok, Mewtwo, Palkia, Arceus, or others that roar, talk psychicly, say something different, or sound like a bear. Unless you mean in the games then it is just Pikachu and Eevee.

He personally funds the justice league and was able to hide the cost of building the watchtower ( a giant futeristic space station) in Wayne aerospace R&D budget. In a story called endgame he said he spent more money on the justice buster suit than 60% of the worlds nations spend on they're militaries. So yeah in the comic book world his pockets are pretty much bottomless.

Batman makes a solid point if a live action pokemon movie with Ash Misty and Brock wasn’t perfect everyone would just be mad and the detective aspect lets there be a live action pokemon movie that tells its own story that doesn’t specifically have to live up to the exact expectations that people have been dreaming of for years and is instead a stepping stone for possible future live action pokemon movies
Also the main story is basically dogfighting.
Question now for me is, what is Legendary gonna do about the Gundam movie?
I feel the badge collection plot would not work for a film.
Additionally, if the movie turns out mediocre or even bad, there won't be much outrage because it's "just a movie based on that weird spin-off,anyways." They were smart when pitching this movie.
Chase Song all though I think the original plot can work as a sipiced up sports movie like rocky or even real steel.
If they give it that vibe and focus on that type of storytelling I think the original plot could work.
And if they want to experiment they can go into different genres like action adventure Indiana jones style looking for a legendary Pokémon, romantic comedy, spy movie looking for some team (rocket,aqua etc) I think if they play it right they can make good movies that take place in the Pokémon universe

Just a note, the Pikachu sounds never have been random, Pikachu actually has a script in the anime where it is put from Japanese into Pikachu (Pikachu sound). If you pay attention long enough you can learn what Pikachu calls the other characters, usually a combination that makes up the silibles of their Japanese name.
So a Pikachu saying it is Pikachu, would most likely include the whole word.

I have to agree with batman, all pokemon die hard fans would literally look for every single problem or mistake, like a bloodhound, not to mention, considering all the different stories (that are a little hard to see how they connect in my opinion) I don't know how they'd even decide what to write the story on, especially in the small amount of time a movie provides, makes more sense to just make another story
There's the video games
The various manga series
The anime
The card game
The stories in all four of those are vastly different. There's no way to connect them all.
It would be impossible to live up to the hype. We have very precise pictures in our minds of how every character needs to be, and any changes would kill the immersion. I also agree with Batman, this was the right way to go. Maybe if this does well they can make a unique movie taking place in the pokemon world. Maybe something Rocky inspired. We'll see.

I totally agree with batman, detective pikachu is the perfect setting for a pokemon live action movie, its a little more down to earth showing pokemon interacting with humans in activities other than battling, but at the same time you can obviously see its pokemon, if it were more close to the anime, it would in fact be met with extreme prejudice and if I'm being honest they would've reduce the battle action and go to a more down to earth approach anyways, so the setting right now it's perfect.
Omar Reyes well I think if this movie does well they can make more live action Pokemon movies. Like the games and maybe anime. I think there's a bigger chance of the games but come on now I really would like a live action Pokemon anime movie. And I'd like for the game movies that there's 3 versions, and each one has different Pokemon and scenes and the main character will have a different starter because if there's one movie then people would not really like the hero to have their least favorite starter for that region, even if it's others favorite. And some people might say that they do it for money and you have to watch all the movies and blablabla, I think you would watch only one of the movies and then watch the rest on Netflix or something. I just think it'd be a cool idea. Some people might not like it, but I certainly do!
I am JayRts Personally, I find the Pokemon anime to be extremely repetitive mainly just the fact that you have a story about a kid who seem to barely pass his first region, while to this very day, still remaining a ten year old. I don't see that doing to well in a live-action format. With this Detective Pikachu movie coming out, it makes me hope that it will do something new for the franchise rather than just sticking with the same formulaic structure that I feel plagues the anime series.
Superman: Why don't we do a live action adaptation of the original story?
Batman: Not only is doing so is a delicate process to get things right, but anime live adaptations have not been doing well so far for a multitude of reasons.
Pikachu: Plus, I'm sick of that guy who never grows up, always restarts from ground zero on another island in spite of having over decades of experience now- enough to be considered a professional legend- given how many times he's saved the world from potentially global/metaphysical/cosmic destruction, being a tease to all of the girls that have the eyes for him without resolving any kind of romantic tension and never letting me evolve! I beat deities at this point and he still doesn't let me move on- it's like one change is going to ostracize everyone when it's getting tiresome to not evolve like everyone else. Is he waiting for Digimon like evolutions to happen where Pokemon can evolve to and from forms so you don't have to worry about permanent change? This is why I'm taking this side job, so I don't always have to be associated as the Tinkerbell to Satoshi's....I mean sorry, Ash's Neverland, Don Quixote quest. It's hard man...so hard.
Batman: Being an icon is very hard. People who hate you for being too safe in sticking to what's been established for years or being too daring to make a change in the status quo. It's never going to satisfy everyone.

I’d have been game (hah...) if Ash grew up and we followed another kid on their pokemon journey, or Ash moved into the Mom-Friend/Mentor role (like Brock, Tracy, and others), or just made cameos to let us know what he and others had been up to. If...they wanna keep the same ol’ “10 yr old Journey/it’s okay to gain xp and repeatedly fail” messages.

Columbo was a TV series that differed from normal detective series in that you got to SEE the crime take place at the beginning so the audience always knew who the bad guy was. The series lasted about 30 years. The main actor continued to make episodes until 8 years before his death... The series wasn't bad and had some decent episodes IMHO.

Nah, it should be mostly about Superman and Batman and random people. Besides to much of Super Cafe's Deadpool voice is not good. He should pop up on special occasions only - like Hugh Jackman saying he will be playing Logan in Dead Pool 3! I would KILL for that...

Totally with Batman on The Lion King remake. It's gonna likely be all nostalgia and little substance.
I mean the core story is good regardless of age. The problem is that it's probably going to be the same story with a shiny new coat of paint. You can't applaud the creativity or the writing because they didn't do anything other than spend Disney dollars to put GRAFIX into the movie. Which will be great...for one single watch to see how everything looks with an HD coat of paint. After that it'll glaringly clear what it is, just a money machine.
Like every disney remake ever. If your going to remake something fix issues, build more on the story, don't make it a nostalgia cash grab.

If certain characters created by Marvel such as the X-Men can't be in the MCU because the movie rights are with other studios like Fox, then characters that are not even related to Marvel would have worse chances. AMYSCHILD GAMER LIVE, I buy CDs whenever possible actually. I like to actually own the thing I bought. Whenever possible I download high quality versions of audio files and burn them to CDs for safe keeping. Also the CDs I use are special type of archival plastic. I also buy DVDs and Blu-rays still even when the thing is on the Netflix or whatever. After all, the Wi-Fi goes out every once in a while.

Also it useda was when you bought something you gained a physical object.
