I just started sewing and only pick up fabric that's on sale, not paying attention to the type of fabrics, but you've motivated me to really pay attention and enjoy the craft that I'm choosing. Thank you again

It's crazy that people used to do this by hand before the industrial revolution. I can only imagine how long the process of turning cotton in a field into an actual item of clothing would take...

the video and templates are super helpful! I am looking at sourcing fabrics for activewear such as recycled polyester, recycled elastane, bio-elastane, tencel, bamboo and organic cotton. I am based in London. Any advice on where to start would be greatly appreciated!

what do you think is easier, making the clothing yourself or using a manufacturer? I am looking to drop a little "mock" clothing line in the summer for swimwear, just so I can see how production goes when it comes to having a clothing line ( also to save up for fashion school if I get into FIT ) but I'm not sure if I should spend my money on a manufacturer or just make the bikinis myself since i m only making bathing suits. Anything cheaper and easier will help me for this "Mock" clothing line. Thank you : )

Do you have any recommendations for how to buy fabric online? I'm working on a suit jacket and need a lining, but I obviously can't go out to a store because plague, so I'm looking into buying online. This is difficult because I can't feel the fabric.

i am trying to find a fabric supplier that does not charge a fee for sourcing fabrics. this is just for personal use, not for a brand, must have no order minimum order quantity. are there any places that offer this? i have tried contacting many places that just sell pre existing fabrics, but none of them had the type or color of fabric i wanted, and did not take custom orders either, nor were they able to assist with questions like weight of fabric, lining, or other factors. i can provide a reference jacket design, and what im trying to do.
