Hi! Glad to have found your channel! Some counter-opinions if you permit: I have been shopping from Lethal since 2019 (maybe 18?) and I love the brand. For comparison, the only other brand I love so much for eyeshadow is Sydney Grace. In all honesty, almost 100% of my powder shadows in the last few years come from these brands cause to me the quality is unparalleled. I am paused at the screen with the 4 comparisons (indoor light, outside in sun, outside in shade and lethal website). And… with the exception of the 3 leftmost middle row shades the direct sunlight right next to lethal’s own image looks… identical. And the difference with the 3 shades I mentioned is that yours are more saturated, whereas they look lighter in tone on the lethal side. The other counterpoint.. I find it a bit unfair to complain about the price when you are shipping from Europe to North America. I paid double the price (that is over a hundred dollars total price with shipping), to try just 2 lip products from Lawless cause RUclipsrs can’t shut up about how life changing they are. They didn’t work for me unfortunately, but what I am not doing is moaning about *transatlantic* shipping. I understand North Americans are spoilt and never have to pay shipping for anything, but here in Europe we pay shipping even within our own country, so it really sounds entitled when people complain about paying something like 10$ shipping between continents, while when we order from you guys it ends up costing almost as much as the order itself oftentimes. My 2 cents, hope you are not offended. Have a good weekend.

Thank you for your comment! I can always appreciate another viewpoint than my own. I can completely see how you would see me coming off as entitled when I talk about the price. That is most definitely not my intention, and I’m sorry for taking the ease of ordering in my country for granted. I am glad you reminded me of this. For me, I hesitate to order more for the chance of not loving them (and I do consider the cost of shipping when I look at ordering something where like you said, it could double the cost as I was mostly referring to ordering one shade or maybe two to update my palette). I would love to know your favorite way to apply these shades when you use them! This is definitely a formula I would love to become more familiar with and learn how to use the shadows to best suite my makeup style. Thank you for watching my video, and thank you again for your comment!

Thanks for not freaking out about my feedback 😅 I almost always use a primer, not set with powder. Usually Anastasia or Mac Paintpot painterly (beware the paint pots sometimes change the hue of the shade). For the mattes I use as with any other shadow - blending brushes and detail brushes. For the shimmers... well Lethal has a lot of different formulas for shimmers and as such it takes knowing the formula a bit. The older originals are very smooth but not as sparkly - classic metallic or foil. The newer ones come in a variety of types. The creamy ones irritated me a lot before I figured them out. For the older ones flat brushes work as well as finger. For the newer ones finger works best - but that is my preferred method anyway to get most of a shimmer shade anyway for all brands. For their newer piece-y formulas (those have major sparkle if you want to really glimmer - think a bit like the sparkle from the Clionadh glitter nultichromes), I use Nyx glitter glue. Thin layer - works fine also over already applied matte shadows. I don't prefer their multichrome formula as nothing tops Clionadh. Their pure metals formula requires Nyx glitterglue cause they have fallout. The look you created was beautiful so I don't think you need much help from me, but this is how I use them ❤

I really appreciate your feedback! I have been working to prepare for Vlogmas so I've fallen behind on responding to comments a bit here lately :( I'm happy to hear how you use the shadows. After really taking the time to try and learn these formulas I have a lot more appreciation for them. I "decluttered" them into a chopping block just to see if I would miss them and I already do!! They will definitely be coming back into my collection. After looking at the website for hours I do have one that hasn't left my mind. It's the shade Bismuth from the pure metals line. I could look at that shade all day!

@KirstensMakeupVanity it's gorgeous but will 100% require Nyx glitter glue!!! Otherwise it will be fallout-city! It's from their separate glitter formula (no real glitter there though, eye-safe). Looking forward to your vlogmas!

I just tried my first Lethal shadows, I ordered just a handful of them to start. They are quite nice, for reference I am a huge Sydney Grace fan and they are my favorite, but Lethal has a lot of colors that SG doesn't. So I will be looking to Lethal to fill some colors that I am missing. But I am glad I tried them out. I do find that I if I use a setting spray the shimmers come alive, anyway will be fun to explore the brand more.

Expectation vs reality is a real thing when it comes to eyeshadow- especially multichromes. I don't know if it's a filter or just lighting magic, but I find pictures on websites to not be very helpful. They're presented in a way so you can see all the color shifts, but it's not very accurate to your in person experience. They always look ethereal, glowing, and amazing on the website, but in person sometimes they're just meh. I find videos like yours from the consumer perspective much more helpful, so thank you!

This video was so helpful, thank you! I have built so many palettes on their website but have never hit purchase. Will probably skip it now and stick with Sydney Grace if I want a custom palette

Can't really agree with you. Mever had a problem with the website on my phone and also the shades are presented in little videos on each shadow on two skintones. I was always really happy with my purchase.

You need to check out Annette's makeup corner if you haven't, she makes shadows look like liquid gems on the eyes. You should try clionadh if you haven't, I have 4 shades 😅 (and they're Canadian too 😊) Annette always uses the nyx glitter primer. You can't swipe like a windshield wiper, tap and swipe, tap and swipe. I just cannot use my fat stubby fingers 😂 no tap no tap 😮 no pack, you need to swipe to wake up the metallic look (that's the only way I can describe it 😢) (I don't mean to be "bossy" it's quite unfortunate that it is how I always seem to come across 😢) the lithium is what I LOVE 😂 😘💖😘💖😘💖😘💖😘💖😘💖😘💖

Hey Kirsten. Your eye look came out really pretty! 💕 Thank you for putting together such a detailed video for your subscribers. Last year around Black Friday I also built a custom palette on their website. I designed it based off of a multi-chrome or 2 that I fell in love with. I remember the multi/duochromes were expensive and frequently went out of stock. I don’t think those were eligible for any sales either. My other concern was that the shades could be too fragile to survive international shipping. I also looked into ordering via Camera Ready Cosmetics, but I decided not to in the end. My logic was I would just stick with my Natasha Denona palettes and rearrange the shades into my own unique color story. Have a fantastic week. 🤗

I think you’re right that the multichromes aren’t eligible for the discount now that you say that. Thank you for watching, Marie 🩵

You can get that exact look with the huda nude light palette, which is expensive but I feel more reasonable with shipping

I love their palette building feature and i ran into the same problem. I found it to be incredibly easy to build palettes because I simply choose 1 shimmer and then base a matte shade and a deeper shimmer off of that.
I found that looking at their pre-made palette made it super easy. For example, the night flower palette had Wisteria, Twilight, and Nox (all purple shades that go beautifully together)… as well as Aurora and Nightlong (paired with Remedy) for blue eyeshadows.
    - YOU CAN FILTER THE SHADOWS LIGHT TO DARK!!! and by color and more specifically by cool, warm, and neutral . i highly recommend
trust their descriptions they are very specific with their words.. the only description i disagree with was Lucid being Emerald. it is not!! it’s more of a teal. Nebula is the only Emerald shimmer shade that they have right now. it’s $16 cause it’s a multi-chrome. i hope they add a true emerald shimmer soon. as well as a pumpkin/sunset orange shimmer!
i’m waiting for crossroads and hollow to come back in stock because i have 2 fully built palettes i’m waiting to buy.
(((also don’t buy their white symmetry magnetic palette unless you’re ready to wipe that down after every use. mine got so dirty. buying their empty Hive palette for $12 to replace it😭

just in case anyone becomes curious.
      green:
-replica (LIME green. a bit too bright for my taste. i still use it but i am looking forward to buying Coven to replace it)
-Cryptic (LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I looked at Vertex as well which is a gorgeous APPLE green. a bit brighter if that’s what you’re going for.)
-Nebula (the only emerald i could get close to). multi chrome $$$. Very pretty but if i could’ve chosen a basic emerald shimmer that’s more my speed. If you love multi chromes it’s gorgeous.

      blue: (and purple further down)
-remedy (medium aqua blue) gorgeous no notes! a lot of their blues are very repetitive but there were swatch videos that i found helpful.
-aurora (trichrhrome but you don’t se much green or pink. its a gorgeous blue . in the night flower palette!
      -nightlong (deep blue)
      purple:
-wisteria (medium lavendar) if you want a lavendar tone WITHOUT the gray hue of Release (lavendar) or Altitude (periwinkle). medium tones look better on me as i have more medium olive tan skintone. and the dusty grayness kinda makes me look “dead” or “sick” not actually but ya know.. not as nice
-Twilight (FAVORITE SHADE) lilac with little gold sparkles running throughout. it’s so pretty and aurora looks perfect paired with it (((both in nightlower palette so they were made to be together)))
-nox (deep purple with red highlights) literally don’t see the red . when i see this color i think royalty. spirit is similar and popular but i went with nox cause it was in the night flower palette. undertones go better together. they’re so similar to me i probably won’t pick up spirit.
will not replace any of these because i genuinely believe they go so well together.

      other shades:
-Defiance (not as bright pumpkin orange as i was hoping for. it is a bit darker with more brown. labeled “copper” so that makes sense. i really want a bright pumpkin orange like in Elf’s bite sized Pumpkin Pie palette
-Backdraft (waayyyyy to bright for me. i can only wear this one its own if i pair it with a bright yellow top for a summer pink lemonade look. it serves as a good inner corner POP of bright color tho!! so i still find it useful for the purple and blue
-Euphoria (wine red). gorgeous color . i can’t put my finger on it. but in the palette euphoria and defiance aren’t nearly as sparkly as all of the other shimmers. i tend to layer backdraft over this one to make it more dimensional. and add the elf bite size 2nd shade to defiance as well..
i wouldn’t necessarily say that these 3 were duds. i still wear all of these shades when i go out with friends. i think they could be made a little better. (like adding more gold sparkle like the trichromatic shades). however, my preference could be the opposite of yours and these 3 shades could be exactly what you’re looking for.
