Hi there, Just an idea! As shown in the video at 2:29, could you keep the Click Wheel stationary (as it should be) while letting the other elements adapt and move above it? Hope this helps 😉
It’s great with animation! it would be a marriage with the haptic feedback, maybe just make it very subtle or maybe make an animation settings for it! cheers! love this app
Had a 3rd gen nano, touch and classic. Man i missed those days when music was key. Id legit get another ipod again as i spend lots of time on the road for work
Love seeing the iPod still getting the spotlight it deserves! 🎶 It’s amazing how these classic devices can still hold their own, especially when paired with the right setups. Thanks for keeping the iPod magic alive!
This is a fantastic project!! Well done :) I do wonder though. The real click wheel kinda relies on multiple levels of touch (scrolling, then pressing harder to activate the buttons beneath the click wheel). Would it therefore be a good idea to use as inspiration Apple's 3rd generation iPod Classic (the one where apple moved the buttons to be in a row across the top so that the front was one piece and had 'no moving parts')? The touch screen of a modern iPhone should be able to imitate the experience of that iPod more closely than it can clickwheel based iPods.
I installed test flight but in the app when i open ScrollJam it says incompatible hardware. I have iphone se 2016 with the latest 2024 ios 15 version, but I think the hardware should be fine.
How would I add all my iTunes I have in my library? Most of my songs I loaded from my real cd collection so they are not connected to my iTunes account.. Is there a way I can copy all my mp4 files to my phone and then play them with your app?
App is awesome but I wish it can play song from apps other than apple music because not everyone has a subscription and they can’t enjoy the app and also the app should support local music playback like the OG ipod
I’m going to add local music soon. For other steaming apps, for Spotify I found out they block you from streaming music using their API, and other companies do something similar. Will look into this more though

Thats a very nice Idea. I also want to have an Old iPod, but the Problem is, my Music Library is on RUclips Music and not Downloaded Songs from iTunes. And to Download manualy every Music title in the worldwideweb for a Album is to Time consuming for me.
I tried writing a program to download a bunch of songs from RUclips. However the music quality goes down a bit. I’m still trying to solve this issue too
3 thangs local files spatial audio and flac transcodeing support i personally dont use apple music at all i dump blueray disks to my pc then to my phone then i use a app called flacbox to use full spatial audio and flac support aswell as alac ofc lel however these 3 features would set u apart from most scroll wheel apps as thare are already some in the appstore as we speak i wouldnt advertize any of these features but just add theme in queitly

Yeah I have an animation running on the wheel right now. I can turn it off I’ll keep this in mind
@@ParasAdhikary I think it's less about the animation and more about the wheel keeping the same Y coordinates on screen so it's not jumping around.

You can’t bring out to an iPhone. The iPhone does too much to be able to replicate an iPod experience.
