You should do these conversations with people who play each role at a high level, so pretty much making your channel the key to having a well rounded understanding of how to play this game optimally. For example in league of legends you will perform substantially better when you as a top laner or bot laner understand the time frame your jungler or mid laner are working around. when each lane understands the goal of each lane it helps them perform better by looking at the game from a big picture stand point instead of just micro. Super informative video, hopefully you do this with each role!
I’m looking into finding more top players in each role to interview. In the mean time I’m working on smaller guides while I wait for the best players to rise to the top.

I actually enjoy jungling on the other team’s area. A.) I find it less of a struggle having to fight for exp and points with a supporter. B.) More enemies entering jungle with low hp so it’s easier to knock em out and steal points. C.) I rarely see anyone from the other team actually jungling cuz they’re busy laning. Out of 300 mtaches I’ve only seen 10 enemies actually Jungle after the first minute. So if you’re a speedster and not a supporter don’t be scared to go to the other team’s jungle just pay attention to the map. Though I’m mainly doing random matches as I’m trying to get better with my mains before doing rank properly it might be different with higher rank matches.
It basically means "showing up and surprising enemies in the lane to help your teammates get kills". Showing up when your teammates are being attacked and turning the fight around is a very good strategy for accomplishing that, though.
the best synonm for ganking that I can think of is "ambush". basically jsut surprise the enemy pokemon in the lane with "BOOM suddenly another person is here"
this was very informative and I love it as a absol lucario main Im glad that honestly for my first Moba I was actually doing the correct think with jungle unconsciously honestly I would always follow the lilipup then take out what ever was near it and this video really helped me with how to help me jungle more so defiantly thanks for the advice
I main Zeraora (currently on Veteran 5) and he never mentioned him in this video, is he s low tier character or was there a reason not to include him as a jungler? I'm genuinely curious since I finder Zeraora extremely effective as an "assassin".
I just didn't know that he would be a free character in the game at the time we recorded this video. I'll be making a standalone Zeraora video in the future.
Haven’t watched the video yet but I’m excited to watch it. I’m coming from being the usual jungler in my group and I just suck at jungle in this game, idk why I can’t get it down, hopefully this video helps. I think I’m just not used to junglers being so squishy
First time watching a video on your channel, I enjoyed this video because you both sound like the andtidote to toxic, overly hyped up videos out there! Thanks for the calm dialogue, I hope you do more videos like this.
With fletchling especially, you have time after clearing lilipup to take out a corphish before ludicolo even spawns. Not sure with other junglers, as I've only been playing Talonflame. Not sure if that's from an update, or if it was always like that.
It's pretty good, zeraora's 1st skill (volt switch, spark) can get you out really easily after you get a score so you get 6 stacks on score weight easy, and score shield helps with the scoring too
I hit up the jungle with absol and have it down pat. using her first abilities I can skip the wall and jump right into the mobs. In clearing the first 5 adds in that area right near base it allows me to lvl up my skills right off the bat and usually puts me a head of the curve for lvling up. (AS LONG AS NO ONE TRIES TO STEAL MY DAMN KILLS)
One should go in lane, but if you are having this issue then that's probably not happening. You can share the jungle until the other person makes their way to a lane and hopefully stays there.
This was really good for all skill levels :) I’d managed to work out some of this but there’s loads of great tips and tricks, especially around decision making. Chucked you both a Twitch follow
Kinda curious on your take on gengar. I played the japanese beta and focused most my time on gengar seeing as they are my favorite pokemon since i was little. I noticed their ability to clear is slightly slower than absol and talonflame however I never struggled with ganks unlike many absols and talonflames i played against. Lick and will-o-wisps created easy kills and eliminated the need to chase into towers and early mid-game with hex and sludge bomb created incredibly easy double kills in each lane and reduced cooldown on hex when hitting a poisoned target created easy outs back into the jungle.
I never got to play Gengar in the jungle position, but I think you’re spot on with your assessment. Lick is a great yanking tool in the early game and will o wisp is good damage if you can land all three projectiles on one person after the lick. Gengar’s blinks seem to have a bit more range than other speedsters, and his unite move looks like a great opener for a gank especially if you combine it with the energy amplifier which will increase the damage on all of his moves after ulting. One issue with Gengar is that his single target damage is lacking compared to the other speedsters right now. He has great burst aoe damage potential with his moves, but once you’re out of cooldowns his damage will fall off a cliff.
@@yocuppajoe Okay, so the player who takes the jungle in the beginning is doing so to get early points and xp for themselves, then aiding whichever lane needs help? And that's why the mobile, glass cannon type characters are good for this? New to mobas so just trying to figure it out
@@heroicskeleton1566 yeah, jungling is less risky to earn a lot of exp than laning, because theres a higher enemy presence in lane. so characters that need an early game boost in terms of exp or plan to gank should get jungle to even themselves out with the others and not just die when they try to gank without farming
I’ve don’t great as jungle cinderace, I’ve yet to see a jungle cramorant but I feel like that could be the meta with how fast he can clear camps and gank at lower levels
I’ve been playing Zeraora and I have been going top lane for the first four Aipoms, and then I go in for the top Corphish which gives me Agility, and then work over to the Ludicolo, go down get Lilipup and Bouf, get the last Corphish, and then choose which lane needs more help
That’s an extremely selfish route that claims not only the jungle exp, but also the laners’ starting starting exp for yourself. If you just start on the lilipup as shown in this video, you could get level three from that camp alone. No need to steal from your laners.
@@yocuppajoe I mean, I’m never the one to get the finisher, meaning I never get the most exp, but it still shares with me, so I can get to level 5-6 very quickly doing this. The quicker I get to discharge means the quicker I can start destroying in the game, and I’m never stealing a you of exp from my teammates, usually it only being one teamate
@@spriggan_jk i commend your creativity, but I promise you this route is getting you to level 5 slower. if you want a fast level 5 then just focus on your jungle camps. You’ll have level 5 by the second corphish if you follow the clear route Pollux showed. Your route just adds an unnecessary trip down the top lane where you take some of your laners’ exp.
Soooo like in the beginning of the game what if you just get that 1 teammate that wants to jungle too? Like I pick absol and go into the jungle and what happens? My teams eldegoss or any other pokemon tries taking my buffs and corphish xp and just tries to be jungle as well so I'm forced to stay in a lane to help my teammate who was supposed to have their teammate who just takes over as jungler. It's very annoying
The two of you split the first jungle spawns, and then eventually one of you just goes to a lane and stays there. It has happened to me too, but it’s manageable.
When my rando lanemate is being as ass and stealing all of the camps, I try to leash for the jungle if they're nearby. I won't let them spread misfortune amongst the rest of the team if I can help it.
That's your call. Honestly I always try to either meet the other jungle mon whichever lane they go in or if the team is defending well enough I'll push other.
@@average.sting.enjoyer Ty, actually i see people going where the enemy jungler goesa and other people doing what you said, i like the second thing lol
Around expert I stopped getting people who did that, but at that level people still struggle picking a support or defender. Although that second problem is because people just don’t have characters unlocked. We really needed one of the login/challenge rewards to be a support. I don’t even own one myself.
honestly I'm knida curious how zard would do as a jg. he has the cc with fire punch and flare blitz, and he NEEDS to get zard asap to be super useful. my only worry is clear speed since he is slow af.
It’s worth a try, you’d definitely be one of the first to look into it. I don’t think mime’s damage would be high enough to compete with the meta junglers, but it might work fine at lower-mid levels
I forgot all to often that stuff like jungling and ganking are strangers to people that never played MOBAs and special in PU where due to the Pokemon Franchise a lot of kids with no idea what the hell is going on will play it, so if we have 4 people on one lane while i am alone Top trying to defend - they are not trolling. They just have no clue about the game. Its frustrating but i hope that will get better as soon as i reach higher ranks.
Oh yeah, I usually find faults with myself first and foremost, but dammit, just today I had multiple ranked matches in a row where I was completely left alone with a lane trying to defend against two or three people and it’s so frustrating, because even if you know that it’s probably not your fault, you end up losing and, because of the circumstances on your lane, you‘ll be among the lowest scorers in your team and probably be considered the one actually at fault. I should really restrict ranked play to playing together with one or two friends of mine, because even only two people cooperating can defend one lane by themselves which can be a huge deal if the team otherwise just doesn’t cooperate.
@@Buphido They need to fix a lot. First like every MOBA: Restrict Ranked to lvl 30 or above. People need to KNOW their shit. Second: Role picks! Let players choose their role before the queue. I had it so many time that i called for example jungle and the Zeraora/Gengar/Absol just took my camps and buffs because apparently "i take the central area" wasnt clear enough. Which is a big problem specially because - Third: Communication! There is literally no methode of communicatign with ur team. At the start i found it refreshing having no toxic chat but at the moment i hate that i have no way to tell my team "Help at Dreadnaw", "i am ganking" or "god dam it u didnt logged in jungler so get to ur lane and help ur god dam lanepartner!" I know the game is just at the beginning but it feels like they made a game with a competetiv core and than expected no one to play it seriously competetiv. I mean the pay2win items are already worse enough ( i personally dont mind it that much because items despite making a i difference dont instant win u matches) but the entire game is made like they expected only kids to play it for fun every once in a while. Its a long made problem of Nintendo that they dont understand that their target audience gets older. Yes making kid friendly games isnt wrong, specially not to get new fans in. But they just pretend most of the times that their fans arent older than 16. And thats what really infuriates me. Also the game was made by Timi as Studio from Tencent who already messed up Pokemon GO, League of Legends and a few other games. That doesnt exactly make it better.
There are the lanes (areas of the map that are clear cut pathways, in this game they have the areas where teams can capture their acquired points) The jungle in a mova is the area comprised entirely of "camps" of jungle monsters that are meant to be killed in order to get experience and resources that arent as openly available to the lanes. The jungler is the person with the responsibility of capturing these camps as well as affecting the lanes with this newfound free time you get from having to wait for the camps to respawn. Hope this helps and encompassed everything you may need to know about what the jungle is.
I'm taking Eldegoss to the jungle just because you told me not to and you can't stop me :V Jokes aside, I tend to play more Supporters and Defenders anyway so I don't have much business in there, but this is all good to know on the rare occasions when someone picks Eldegoss or Crustle before I can and I panic-pick Zeraora.
Ok, let's say I see bot lane being attacked so I come to gank, and we defeats the enemies. We all score, topped off on our health, and it's a great time to start doing the Drednaw... A) Is this the right call? Drednaw that early, they've just respawned, they could counter our objective; is this something to play around (don't do Drednaw early? Use it as bait?) or do we just ignore them and try to cap Drednaw? B) How the hell do I signal that I want to take Drednaw / Rotom? In League, I'd be able to open up quick ping, drag my mouse to the right for "On my way!" and it makes a nice bell ding sound, with a beautiful blue arrow pointing to exactly where I want. And I can even spam it too. In League, I drop one or two pings that I'm heading to Dragon... but in this game, all I can do is roam and hope my team has basic understanding of map awareness...
Yes always take drednaw when you can. I would say take drednaw even before you go for the scoring just to make sure it gets done before enemies respawn and threaten to steal. Drednaw is that important. You can open the map, put the cursor over drednaw and click to signal to your team that you’d like to take drednaw.
As mentioned any Pokémon can jungle just which is the most proficient at it All rounder Pokémon are exactly as the name states is good all around in any situation very adaptable I would say Lucario is Solid in jungle but isn’t a speedster and not the most optimized it can be done but the proficiency depends on skill , Items and knowledge just trying to be as thorough and informative as possible TLDR- Yes he can jungle but isn’t necessarily made to jungle unlike speedsters
Also for your first question, you jungle as much as you want to farm , you could do it once or twice heck maybe even 3 aslong as your team is being solid and don’t need your assistance, it’s your call and you’ll learn when and when not to through mistakes , I suggest feeling it out every match since there isn’t a set number of how many times you should or shouldn’t
@@yocuppajoe yeah I do that already but I think I’m playing him wrong because I tend to die lots early on and I’ve heard you have to stick to the middle but I’m to aggressive so I love when I fully evolve
@@yocuppajoe Agreed. I've a little jungling experience from LoL and was messing around with zeraora in the jungle today. Holy cow. I had come to a similar conclusion to you with the early pathing, generally after I get the volt switch upgrade I can snag a quick double in a lane and just snowball the game from there. I feel like early game front loaded characters are largely going to thrive due to the short game times. You can't bank on scaling like you could in games like LoL or Dota2.
Totally, but the importance of Zapdos makes the later game powers spikes really impactful. As long as you can avoid falling super far behind by the time Zapdos arrives.
Good guide for beginners but to the muscle band a little correction - it does not increase the damage to lower health targets - it behaves kinda similar to the blade of the ruined king from LoL and adds damage of a percentage amount of the enemies current HP! means the higher HP they are on the more dmg you do, when the enemy runs low on HP the bonus is barely there
Holy Crap. Its a Pokemon Unite guide thats, actually f***ing useful instead of saying the exact same crap as Literally EVER. SINGLE. MOBA. GUIDE. EVER that doesn't actually explain anything at all. Showing up when your teammates are being attacked and turning the fight around is a very good strategy for accomplishing that, though.
the best synonm for ganking that I can think of is "ambush". basically jsut surprise the enemy pokemon in the lane with "BOOM suddenly another person is here"
Gank = “gang kill” you gang up on the enemy to secure the kill.

Great and informative video.
this was very informative and I love it as a absol lucario main Im glad that honestly for my first Moba I was actually doing the correct think with jungle unconsciously honestly I would always follow the lilipup then take out what ever was near it and this video really helped me with how to help me jungle more so defiantly thanks for the advice
Thanks for the video! Very awesome & informative guide
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for commenting :D
I absolutely enjoyed this! I like how he said knock them out not killed them hahaha
@@yocuppajoe Thank you for replying, and that's great news, I'll be looking up for that video

Is attack weight/score shield good for Zeraora?
It's pretty good, zeraora's 1st skill (volt switch, spark) can get you out really easily after you get a score so you get 6 stacks on score weight easy, and score shield helps with the scoring too
I hit up the jungle with absol and have it down pat. using her first abilities I can skip the wall and jump right into the mobs. In clearing the first 5 adds in that area right near base it allows me to lvl up my skills right off the bat and usually puts me a head of the curve for lvling up. (AS LONG AS NO ONE TRIES TO STEAL MY DAMN KILLS)
4:02 *laughs in Morgana*
How to jungle
Only attack
what happens if there are two people that wanna jungle? do you share or does someone have to go in another lane?
One should go in lane, but if you are having this issue then that's probably not happening. You can share the jungle until the other person makes their way to a lane and hopefully stays there.
@@yocuppajoe Thank you!
Do have a similar vid for playing the lanes?

He has great burst aoe damage potential with his moves, but once you’re out of cooldowns his damage will fall off a cliff.
if league was explained to me like this I would have learned faster and easier
very good guide
Brilliant information, not that it means anything, but you earned a like & sub king xo
in my experience, gible *needs* to jungle in order to level up fast and not be too squishy
Yeahhh problem with that is gible kinda sucks at ganking compared to every other viable jungler.
@@yocuppajoe agreed because they are basically designed to jungle and you take that away it can greatly hurt your team in the process.
I've been having a lot of success with Slowbro in the jungle
Slowbro isn't very good tho
Slowbro jungle will fall of in high elo
How does exp work in this game? If u kill in the jungle, does your whole squad get the xp or just u?
The people who assisted in the wild Pokémon ko will get exp too
@@yocuppajoe Okay, so the player who takes the jungle in the beginning is doing so to get early points and xp for themselves, then aiding whichever lane needs help?
One thing this guide didn't mention is counter ganking to protect your team when they over extend.
Great video.
I was really excited to upload this one, glad people like it!
7:50 actually the more health they are the more damage muscle band does
When my rando lanemate is being as ass and stealing all of the camps, I try to leash for the jungle if they're nearby.
I won't let them spread misfortune amongst the rest of the team if I can help it.
Sigh i don't understand, i have to help my losing lane or the on Who Is in advanced
That's your call. Honestly I always try to either meet the other jungle mon whichever lane they go in or if the team is defending well enough I'll push other.
I usually just go for the stronger lane since higher chance of dominating that lane
@@average.sting.enjoyer Ty, actually i see people going where the enemy jungler goesa and other people doing what you said, i like the second thing lol
I run into a lot of teammates who be tryna jungle with Blastoise or Snorlax... Usually tryna steal my kills instead of staying to their lanes
They probably have no idea that what they’re doing is bad. I would just ignore it until they go to a lane, or you could just go to a lane yourself.

Hey i wonder if you get new moves as u level up
You do get new moves as you level up. Most character get new moves at levels 5 and 7, but it can happen at different levels for certain Pokémon.
At what level do your teammates stop waltzing into your jungle even though you said you were jungling in the lobby?
Never probably…
Around expert I stopped getting people who did that, but at that level people still struggle picking a support or defender. Although that second problem is because people just don’t have characters unlocked. We really needed one of the login/challenge rewards to be a support. I don’t even own one myself.
The closest thing to that we have is being able to pick eldegoss at the start at the game, which probably few people did :P
honestly I'm knida curious how zard would do as a jg. he has the cc with fire punch and flare blitz, and he NEEDS to get zard asap to be super useful.
my only worry is clear speed since he is slow af.
@Krashy has a video on Charizard jungle. It's not bad, not as good as the best junglers, but still not bad.
Do you think Mr Mime could jungle? He has surprisingly high damage if you hit them into walls, and really good CC all around
It’s worth a try, you’d definitely be one of the first to look into it. I don’t think mime’s damage would be high enough to compete with the meta junglers, but it might work fine at lower-mid levels
@@yocuppajoe Thanks for the quick reply, you're AWESOME!
What is the jungle I’m still confused
the center of the map
Which is a big problem specially because -
Third: Communication! There is literally no methode of communicatign with ur team. At the start i found it refreshing having no toxic chat but at the moment i hate that i have no way to tell my team "Help at Dreadnaw", "i am ganking" or "god dam it u didnt logged in jungler so get to ur lane and help ur god dam lanepartner!"
I know the game is just at the beginning but it feels like they made a game with a competetiv core and than expected no one to play it seriously competetiv.
Cant wait until they add Gen 2 pokemon
what is jungling or a jungle
There are the lanes (areas of the map that are clear cut pathways, in this game they have the areas where teams can capture their acquired points) The jungle in a mova is the area comprised entirely of "camps" of jungle monsters that are meant to be killed in order to get experience and resources that arent as openly available to the lanes. The jungler is the person with the responsibility of capturing these camps as well as affecting the lanes with this newfound free time you get from having to wait for the camps to respawn. Hope this helps and encompassed everything you may need to know about what the jungle is.
The middle lane
Talonflame was my first wild shiny, time to jungle.
I'm taking Eldegoss to the jungle just because you told me not to and you can't stop me :V
Jokes aside, I tend to play more Supporters and Defenders anyway so I don't have much business in there, but this is all good to know on the rare occasions when someone picks Eldegoss or Crustle before I can and I panic-pick Zeraora.
Holy crap, Pollox! I just played a game with you! Are you still a Zeraora user? Blonde guy? Lol.
wow eldegoss jungling is so much easier now thanks.
Lol
can you make a how to play bot lane vid please!!!
You can open the map, put the cursor over drednaw and click to signal to your team that you’d like to take drednaw.

do i jungle one time and can lucario jungle?
So his Ninetales is a female?
I think more people need to learn how to teleport back to the base
80 or 90% of the time you wanna use eject button since the mobility it gives is way too strong in basically any combat situations

He is completely bonkers. Have you seen him in any of your games? Destroys everything around him in the early game.
