December 2023. Just ordered the moondrop Aria 1
Traffic job Timmy. Was considering getting the Aria's, but I already have the Starfield's and the FH3's; therefore, I didn't pull the trigger on it. I was close to getting it. But, I love love the the Legacy 2's. Looking forward to the Monarch ii's. I wonder if it's still a 9-driver set. ER2XR is exceptional, they're just a bit earhole rape. 😂

Just got my Etymotic ER2XRs in the mail and holy shit. I’m absolutely blown away. I got used to the fit within 20 minutes but I do agree, it was rough at first impression.

The Mele would be my pick over any of the 3 recommendations, but ymmv, and I own and enjoy the 3 recs, especially the T4.
Bass heads and especially sound stage freaks, look no further: Blon BL-05s. (not BL-05)
Sub $100 iems I own: Tin T2, T4, Blon BL-05s, Tripowin BGGAR Mele (cleanest and punchiest bass), QKZ VK4.
how's Mele vs. the VK4?
@@Gizaudio Mele technicalities and bass attack wins big time; VK4's bass is bloated (still enjoys it from time to time but I use it for phone calls mainly). Mele might not have that much treble details as the Tin T4 has, but it's enough for a bassline audiophile experience.
One thing to say for your preference, Timmy, is that the vocals/mids might sound thin to you in Mele, as it focuses more on instrument retrieval.
In your opinion and experience, which companies have better quality control under 200 dollars?

Western brands have very good quality control. For chifi I like Seeaudio, tanchjim, and moondrop, they are always consistent.

Everyone says Aria.... For the most part. I've seen some people suggest the legacy 2. I want to try the blon A8 But the reviews have been pretty mediocre.
The other option is to get four $20 IEMs!

you have cooper cable with T4 :) same here, It give more weight on mid and sub compared to silver bundle one, love it
Especially, slow female vocal focusing music. (sticky silicon ear tip gives more smooth sound than bindle hard silicon tip IMO)
Small tip gave me much more bass, but Medium tip was much less bass. It's picky :)
I like my movie dialogue upfront and not bass heavy. I watch a lot of prime movies which would be good for me. Any help would be appreciated

Aria! bass is needed for gaming immersion. Explosive, vehicle engines, etc sounds more stratifying with bass

I think that Moondrop Aria is over-rated. I listen to much cheaper KZ ZEX more often than Aria. Aria sounds cold, dry, and less engaging than KZ ZEX which has a fuller, slightly warmish sound signature. I drive both Aria and KZ ZEX with Qdelix 5k.
Already have (and like) the T4 and now I’m interested in adding the ZEX; how is the stock cable on that IEM ?
I heard good things about the ZEX
ER2XR is arguably the best IEM under $100 but is bottlenecked by the infamous Etymotic fit which is actually a meme in the audiophile community
Maybe the EVO will drop to around $200 in a few years from now.

idk, everyone says aria is "relaxed". When I tried mine, I couldn't listen to them for 5 minutes, even on relaxed songs which are never fatiguing. They were so shouty, I've got a headache after 5 minutes of listening and immediately packed 'em up again and sent 'em straight back to amazon. Maybe I had some weird faulty unit?
Seeing the graphs, the upper mids have a strong slope below.. At 3,4k hz, definitely more shouty than neutral
I can see how it can be shouty for some. When I said relaxed I was more pertaining to the treble. However if you're upper mid sensitive I can see these being slightly fatiguing
Stay away from the Tin T3 then!
at that point every bright iem will make your head explode.
you need darker iem
Might want to try Hidizs MS2 some say they beat the Arias

How would you compare HZ Heart Mirror to Tin T4 given that they're both Neutral Bright signatures?
Tin T4 is overall more refined and natural feeling and more balanced. Tin T4 has more bass than HZ as well. You can think of T4 as the upgrade to HZ

Which of these IEMs is the most versatile?
I thought the fit of Etymotics wouldn't be that bad (just the fact they are ugly af) but when I tried my first 3-fallange tips I knew how intrusive they are, I was never able to fit the tips inside my small ear canals, they just bounced back out.

hey man, but why in your list the aria is 4 stars and the mele is 4,5? For personal enjoyement? I think it's not just you, and fo 50 bucks is pretty cheap
Like I mentioned, $50 IEM are not in this video. They will have their own separate list :) Also personal enjoyment and quality is not the same thing. Aria is a better IEM than Mele in many ways. But I enjoy the tuning on Mele slightly more.

Ahh the Tin T4, a daily beater that just works, durable, reliable and sounds great. 2 pairs in with different tips and cables and I'm still a very satisfied customer that is prepared to get the third pair (cause why the hell not). By the way what cable are you using for that T4?

@@jaygee3032 Ah I rarely play videogames so I don't know for sure. I'd say decent? It has below average soundstage and 3D imaging.. But it works. If you're unsure you can try searching for something else.

@@Gizaudio I love DD Drivers iems and own quite a few pieces... Among my collection, my fav is Acoustune HS1650CU and Sony Ex1000. Not sure why i dont really like the IER Z1R though. The one truly best (according to my taste) DD IEM is the Acoustune HS1695TI.

Regardless of the sound, I have seen many reviews complaining about the er2xr fit and it being uncomfortable i think that’s a deal breaker specially for an iem
ER2XR but you need to get the fit perfect and deep enough, or else it sounds not ideal.
Every time I see these under $100 videos I feel that the Starfield are kind of cheated, even though their regular price is $109 (except when they have a discount). To be fair reviewers say the Arias sound similar, but I've never heard the Aria so I can't confirm that.
Aria is pretty much the same as Starfield about 95%. Being $30 cheaper it's very clear Aria is better valued.

Totally agree with the Legacy 3 part. I got them initially when I was new to the hobby but damn not good at all unlike what many say
Legacy 2. Mmm grafs shows mid bass but the beryllium driver struggle to show. So bass guitars are really low
I didn't think it had that much bass.
The xr2, great mids and treble. Terrible flat bass. Volume to low. At high volumes the driver struggles. But if you listen to voice focus artists and you have a dap. Perfect. If you listen to rock or metal or hip hop . Forget it, they terrible for that.

In aliexpress I get at the same price the Tri Starsea and the ThieAudio Legacy 2. The Starsea I feel have better accessories and the possibility to modify the sound with the stwiches, but in sound, which is better? Even if it's something in general.
