I like your set-up on 4 and 5. It can be done without a gi and quickly enough to avoid getting punched in the face in MMA combat. Thanks for the video.
Los felicito por la excelente manera de explicar, ojalá hubiera una escuela de ustedes aquí en Monterrey México,ya que aquí no hay, enhorabuena y mucha suerte
The Turtle Arm Bar is a very nice option I never thought of it I usually go for a chocke after inserting my hooks and flipping the person but I don't do Judo I do in BJJ Thanks A lot :)
Older vid but would like an answer to this. I would like to know, how do you deal with the arms interlocking? When you for example use the third technique, the opponent interlocks arms and rendering the jujo gatame useless (the opponnent grabs his other arms to prevent me from armbarring (?)). Great channel by the way :D.
I have found that one or two things can work here. 1) use your foot to press against the opposing arm, pushing it away. You have more strength in your leg than they do in their grip. 2) don't just pull straight backwards, pull sideways (towards the head) and backwards. It is very hard to resist motion in two directions at the same time.
+Mikko Kanerva Yes, of course. And it has nothing to do with your rank. Maybe with your age - Often are the rules different in some countries, so ask your trainer :)
easy on the coffee..I get the same hyper affect from coffee.
You rather have sensei to be monotone and boring? I liked his energy cause that's part of teaching. It's creates an energy to motivate students
Thank you. Randori went swimmingly well for me due to this instruction video. Good work Sensei!

yes you can play guard in Judo - it's just hard to sub someone in a short amount of time
The turtle armbar is good but for bjj I would recommend keeping the back and tiring out your opponent before attempting a submission
From the "slipped arm point", ashi ude garami might be smoother and easier to follow to sankaku if defended.
I thought the exact same thing.
Thanks mate - these are my 5 fave Juji gatames attacks
great video. matt, please put out a video on the new ijf rules. pros and cons what to do and not to do. thanks.
Thank you very much, you helped me a lot with my belt exam

The last one was awesome... Sensei
I love it! en ninguna de mis clases de judo me han enseñado estas variaciones. Te has ganado un seguidor mas :)
Super useful, I'm working on my Ne Waza, sometimes you need to get rid of the guy instead of going into golden score and waste your energy...
So true
+Yusuph SLMV absolutely
