Back then it was all about being proud of where youre from... being proud of the life you live. Music was art that we all shared.. we all could relate. Now everyone has lost sight of what’s really important... our future. Our kids future. Instead of sending that hate to the ones who deserve it ( THE GOVERNMENT, ALL THE CORRUPT PUPPET MASTERS) we send it to people who deal with the same things we do on the daily... As a 90s baby, I grew up on Pac, Dre, and west side connection, but it was the dirty south that was really there throughout my adolescent years. I am truly blessed to have had the pleasure and privilege to live through this evolution of hip hop 🙏🏾
