Like your work on this, your parts sourcing seems to be gone. At least on my phone, & never is available on the TV where I first viewed this but I'll get in touch with your parts source and get-er-done. I see you stopped videoing about a year ago I hope you will get back in to doing more. I have only had my 2017 Spyder RT S for 2 MONTHS. I have watched most of your videos in the last 2 days and greatly appreciate all the information you have provided. Hope you will continue you do an excellent job.
Alex Lewis, well, I actually had the tape on so you guys wouldn’t have to look at my reflection but your suggestion of taping to protect from scratches sounds much more professional. Lol Thanks
Mr. own it, I received the led turn signal strip and mirror covers. Now I installed the light strips and that went as per your video thank you again. But I have question about the wide angle mirror covers they don’t seem to lay flat on the OEM mirror was that the case with the ones you installed ?
Bill Pettit I do remember that the stock mirror seemed to flex. You might try using a right angle pick tool to sneak behind one side and pull it out so all that 3M tape can grab it.
I agree with others that you did an awesome job of that install, but my preference is still using t-taps for these small led lights, simply because I think if anything is going to fail, it will be those small strip lights. Then, all your hard work splicing those wires together has to be ripped apart. The chance of water getting into those connections is pretty slim considering that they are inside the mirror housing. I am not for one minute criticizing your work, I just think T-Taps would be just fine in this situation. I have used them for many installs, on my Spyder and never had an issue PS: I really need to get those magnetic mirror mounts. Regards
Quick question. Have you had any issues with hyper flash with your led lights. I have rear brake and flasher leds, fender leds, and am concerned adding any more may result in the hyper flash issue a lot of Spyder owners have mentioned in some of the forums.
I have not had that problem but these mirror LED’s are the only lights I have added. I just searched and found a video Lamoster did about it and I am confused. He gave a procedure to fix it but it looks like he fixed it as soon as he held the hazard button down before doing the other stuff.
@@ItsYoursOWNIT Yes, I have seen that video. Unfortunately, I own a 2013, and the fix Lamonster gives only applies to 2014. Should work for you. Spyderlovers forum has quite a bit if info, but you need to be an electrical wizard to understand a lot of the suggestions. LOL Keep up the great work.

I installed this kit using the clips but with your video I will be reinstalling them using your wire method. Awesome video
Very nice clean install, liked the idea about taping to protect from scratches and how you did the wiring. Excellent job. Thanks

Fair enough, thanks for the feedback. You will not regret getting the magic mirrors. I love them.
Mr, Own It, is it easy to disassemble the mirror housing to get access to inside? Are they held together just by taps?
I don’t think they are designed to be taken apart. I have read of a few people on Spyder lovers get them apart but you run the risk of ruining it.
Are you using the Dewalt 1/4” impact for the drilling?
John Newman it is a 12v screwdriver with an adjustable clutch. DCF610B I like it because it has the 1/4” hex chuck.
