..you sir are my hero. I watched the tutorial and told myself "No way." I ordered the parts, set out my tools and SUCCESS, I did it!!! I followed your instructions to the letter and completed the install of the magnetic mirror mounts and LED headlights. Thank you!!!
I am installing LED lights right now, once i got the panel off and the headlight off, here's where I am having an issue. The original light plug has a notch on the inside middle of the connector plug there's no way to install wrong but these LED light plug in has no notch to make sure you got the positive to positive and negative to negative. I'm sure I'll figure it out and hopefully not blow the bulb or mess it up. I was okay taking panels off and getting this light housing off unplugging was a bit difficult because I have long nails but to match these LEDs with no notch guide like the original I'm not in a positive mind frame to say this is a great video, it'll do. I'll be back to give a better comment as soon as I figure it out. 4/30/22 finally got the headlights in, they are nice now onto the fog light. I got panels off that probably not suppose to be off but it's okay. Overall the video helped but you left out some details but at the end of the day I got it done.
Love the videos and the step-by-step! Another thing that would be super useful is if you included a part/tool list in the description. I'm ordering the lights as I type and wouldn't mind some simple links to follow to add to my cart (anything I don't already own!) Nicely done!
I do not own a Spyder yet, but thanks for the crystal clear installation video. Well done! Too bad Can Am doesn't put these lights in at the factory and save us all some time. Thanks for posting.
How do know which is negative or positive connections? Looking at connection doesn’t show polarity. Or did I miss something? Is black wire the negative one? Need help ASAP as I have RT torn completely down now. Disregard. I figured that the black wire was negative so everything is hunky dory! Lights are really bright compared to the OEM ones. Took it out for quick spin after completing install and , boy! What difference!!
Hello Greg, I reached out to the MFG on this one for you. Here is their response "No you do not need to adjust them. The RT has an air ride system so it is always level from the factory. Plus, removing the brass nut would not move the adjustment. It would only adjust if you inserted an Allen wrench and physically turned it. Never touch the adjuster from the factory." Thank you!
I installed these lights on my 2013 RT and have dark spots that I can't get rid of. I've tried aligning the bulbs horizontally and vertically and it makes no difference. What gives?
Hello Cheryl, if you would kindly contact our Customer Service Team for assistance. We're more then happy to provide assistance to resolve the issue for you. You can reach them here anytime: www.slingmods.com/index.php?route=information/contact Thank you!
I have a 2018 Spyder RT Limited. Currently the spring loaded shield that BRP uses to switch from low to high beam doesn't work very well. Poor design in my opinion. My friends in front always think I'm signalling them to pull over as it bounces from low to high beam when driving on a rougher road. Does this conversion kit remove the shield and then how does it switch from low to high beam. Thanks
Hello Patti, this conversion kit unfortunately does not replace the shutter used to switch from hi/lo. It simply replaces the bulbs. I'm afraid the issue you're experiencing will not be resolved by switching to this bulb kit. My apologies.
The instructions were not for my 2012 model, i had screws where the video said there were, and were not! just frustrating. the video does say to connect the light pigtail, making sur + and - are the correct way????? this was an issue with each one...because you cannot tell which is the +/_ wires, why not make the harness only go on 1 way??? after taking apart the complex faiting of the canam.....only to find out i only have a high beam on one of the lights...ughhhhh now i have to take this whole thing back apart again!, put the old bulbs back in , return them and do it all over again?????? so much for an "elite" kit..............................

We have two different bulb options for you here: www.slingmods.com/index.php?route=product/searchcanam&vehicle=1&search=rt%20led%20headlights We also have LED "Fog Light" conversion kits for your model year, if you want all your bulbs to match in color output: www.slingmods.com/index.php?route=product/searchcanam&vehicle=1&search=rt%20led%20foglights Please let me know if you need anything else!
Hello Ken, LED headlights are used on almost every vehicle application on the road today including the new 2020 Spyder RT Limited model. We've sold thousands of LED headlights over the past 5 years. Please take a moment to comb through some of our online reviews for our LED headlights.. posted by customers that have already purchased and installed these LED headlights.
Great video! Clear and concise. I don’t have a Spyder yet, but I am gathering information on the many upgrades and accessories that I think will make it mine. This was the first SlingModz video, but the way it was done was awesome! I have subbed and liked ‘cuz I know I will be watching many more! Great job! Thanks!
Awesome. Thank you so much! We launch installation videos for most of the products we sell to help customers like yourself enjoy the modding process! Thx for watching.
...yes, great video. I'm waiting for delivery of my 2015 RT Limited and I've been watching hours and hours of videos, getting as much info as I can. Hope you get your Spyder soon.
Hello Phillip, these are canbus approved and actually reduce the load on the headlight circuit in comparison to the stock bulbs. We have not received any customer feedback in regards to hyper flash occurring with this product.
@@Slingmods that was a question for the turn signals and rear tail light sorry for miss understanding. I was wondering because on my 2 wheels I needed to replase relay to avoid hyper flash.
@@phillipvazquez284 Yes sir I understand. I was asking which particular mod as different turn signal mods have different levels of current draw. To give you a general answer across all turn signal add on mods... For all Spyder 2014 to 2019 models the flasher module can be recalibrated by holding down the hazard button. In very rare cases the hazard button reset does not work due to the # of "add on" lights run in parallel to the OE turn signal circuit. Our system uses an internal chip to run the turn signal so we are only using 1 wire as a signal generator. I've seen two rare cases that could only be fixed with an inline resistor on the yellow turn signal wires, which resolved the issue in both of these cases. For 2008-2013 models you are likely to experience hyper flash and there is no calibration. In cases like this we can fix it by using an inline resistor but even with the resistor it's likely limited to two additional turn signal mods in conjunction with the OE turn signals.
Slingmods.com Thanks! I was counting screws, as stated in the video (my first time removing these panels). The video says something like, “Remove these 3 screws,” but more were removed. But, later in the video, on the other side, the screws were accounted for, and I knew what to remove and not remove.
Slingmods.com No problem! It’s crystal clear now! I just had one other comment...the video talks about making sure you take into consideration the plug’s polarity when you connect the new LED bulb, but didn’t explain what to do. Although the new bulb’s plug was clearly marked with the polarity, the other part (original part of the harness) was not. I used a multimeter to try and determine polarity, but got negative readings in both probe positions. So, I just plugged it in so that the black wire on the original harness lined-up with the neg ( - ) side of the LED bulb plug. Nope! I was wrong! Hahaha! So much for my electrical intuition! At least I was smart enough to test it before I put anything back together. Thanks for a great video, and I love these TERRIFIC LED lights that I purchased from you. In fact, my friend was so impressed by seeing just one bulb installed, he immediately ordered a set from you for his F-3!
Oh! One more thing...the first part of the video shows the cable being removed from the hole furthest back (“HB”). But at about 7:08, it shows it being returned to the “LB” hole, which is the forward-most hole. I put it back in “ the “HB” hole (there is a red pencil mark there). Is this correct? Thanks!

How does this affect "hyper-flash" conditions?
After you reinstall the brass adjustment screw, do the headlights need to be re-aligned? Or do they just adjust themselves naturally....
