@@DavidBWylinhe was going to jail anyway, he displayed the inability to listen so to be on the safe side they put cuffs on him before anything happens. Also if a cop puts his hands up to tell you to stay back and you try to move their hands out the way, it's a form of resistance
If cops gave him a ride home & something happened to the son while drunk Dad was "watching" him, then guess what? Cops would be in trouble. He doesn't give one damn about his son.....stop asking where he is. You wouldn't have driven in a car drunk with him. On top of that, you let a STRANGRR take him to the bathroom??? These cops had more patience than I would.
It all comes back to qualified immunity. If this guy got a lawyer and won in court, the city would pay the guys cash he won in court. In states with no qualified immunity for police, like New Mexico, police are much more apprehensive to go hands on because it will be held in civil court and they personally will be held responsible. Eliminate qualified immunity for all police.
The dad shouldn’t be intoxicated with his kid like that. Small chance it could have been a medical issue going on. Also I think the cop escalated the arrest / assault on an officer. The cop forced him back down and looked like a natural reaction moving his hand.
I get what you’re saying, but it doesn’t matter that the cop touched him first they are COPS you can’t put your hands on cops it doesn’t matter 😂 Also, dude was probably gonna go to jail anyway they knew he drove there drunk. They’re basically just sick of that guys shit at that time. And to answer your question of when is it over OK to do self-defense against a police officer pretty much never you basically have to comply and then fight that shit in court THATS how you do it.
@@damkayaker I’m clueless?? the cop didn’t tell him he’s detained, or under arrest. so him standing up isn’t wrong, the cop touched him first then said stay seated, reflex anybody would move a person hand away from touching them unwarranted. @@DavidBWylin that’s the part I agree with you on the cop didn’t tell him he was detained, but the guy did try to push past the cop and he can’t do that. I totally get what you’re saying. It doesn’t seem completely fair, but unfortunately it’s just the way it is.
That you think he was appropriate to push the Officer's arm because the officer touched him first shows level of immaturity and lack of insight go discuss that with someone and then I'll be back.
It would of made since if the officer said he’s under arrest or detained just grabbing a person whether a officer or civilian isn’t right we all have rights stop letting officers violate them because their “officers”
This commentator is dumb af. Dude tried to swat his hand away after he told him not to get up. It doesn't matter who touched who 1st. Dude is drunk and could possibly be combative. No cop is trying to take chances dealing with a lush. Dude clearly was possibly gonna resist arrest. Listen to the officer and follow instructions.
Yall let officers violate y’all rights 👏🏾👏🏾 he told him that after he touched him first he could have easily told him your detained or under arrest since he already admitted to drunk driving but I’m the ignorant one
The cop told him to remain seated, he tried to get up and made contact. It's simple to see and understand.

If an officer places his hand on your arm, yes there should be a reason for it, but you're not allowed to put your hand on his arm. Period.
@@cynthiatolman326 I know that .. tell David that.
So drunk, dude started snitching on himself 🤣
Made their job easier 😂😂
It makes total sense my man.

"Dad" forfeit his right to father's need to know the minute he drove that child while drunk.
