I told my mother to shut-up exactly ONCE when I was 12 years old 😮 She lightly slapped me across the face, and that was a lesson learned for life! She was not a violent person as a rule, which made her action all the more memorable
I didn't get that far. All it took was answering my mom with WHAT!! when I was in middle school once and she grabbed me by the hair.....I was like okay okay, I'm sorry....my dad was standing there backing her up. Pretty scary moment. Needless to say, it never happened again....😂😂
I love the ones with the teenage boys because dads like "my time has come, he thinks he the man of the house now and I've got to reestablish my dominance over this domain"😂😂
If I would have said “shut up” to my mom in front of my dad back in the 80’s, my dad would NOT have asked “what did you say?.” It would have been a straight smack on the side of my head 😂😬 Now that I’m a mom, my daughter would not dare cross the line with me even if it was for a prank lol 😂
I'm a 90s kid, and Asian. Yeah. There's no way we would be able to still live to say "it's a prank". We'll still die from beating even if we have time to say that it was a prank. So, yeah, this challenge is basically suicide. Lol
Not gonna lie - Dad @ 5:50, moving all slow and keeping low tones? That's the one that would scare me straight. 🤣😂🤣😂 That's the 'Don't talk to her that way; we can just make another one of you' Dad
Wooooo chile! I don't know how you guys can sit through this- my anxiety is through the roof right now. I'm almost 40 years old and this ish still has me shaking in my boots.
This prank won't even work in Arab, Asian, Indian or African country. The dad will run through walls, get to you and will plaster you on wall. You would be lying dead before you even call it prank 😂😂
I died laughing how most of the dads turned and just looked at their wives as if to say “seems we have a defective child, want me to do a hard factory reboot with my boot?” 😂
I am happy to see that some dads actually care enough to get up to address the disrespect. Others who just look annoyed or lie around looking unsure what to do would be a bitter disappointment for me. I want a man who will sternly correct this misbehavior as i would if the situation were reversed. This would never have been brushed off by my dad. He loved and protected my mother from anything that came out of my mouth he deemed disrespectful. I was a better parent because of how they raised me.
These people slow. Told my Grams shut up that 70 yr old moved so fast didn’t have time to blink before I was back slapped. We weren’t in the same room either.
Just talking to your mom with a higher voice is considered as disrespect... What I'm saying is that you're making something so serious as funny!! Come on even if it's a joke there are red lines you should never cross!!!
I am a Gen X and if I ever spoke these words to the "mom" I would be scared for my life! My dad would of beat me before anyone had the chance to utter the words "it's a prank". A lot of kids nowadays have no idea what "fear" really is.
I once looked at my mother the wrong way and instantly regretted it. There is no way a Scottish Mother would put up with being told to shut up, this Scottish Mother would not.. To this day my kids hate getting the look that only a Mother can give, they call it the death look, I don't have to say one word.
5:45 was the best reaction I’ve seen to this prank. Not abusive at all but while asking questions also making sure that it is understood that that behaviour is not tolerated. Very level headed response and still respectful to the child even tho they aren’t acting right. And calmly letting them know what the consequences would be if they did it again.
There is no way I could have done this to my dad. He had horrible anxiety and hated jokes/surprises. He also didn’t tolerate disrespect of any kind. If I ever told my father to “shut the hell up” as a kid, my soul would have been eviscerated. (After I got beat with a damn fly swatter).
If I had ever said this I would be digging my own grave at the same time. I was never beaten but there were rules and boundaries. The one rule that would get your butt lit up was backtalking it was NEVER tolerated. If you disagreed you waited until the tension was over and explained and my mom and pops would listen. But telling my mom to shut up oh dear lord it would be just run !!!!!!!!!!!!! My oldest brother did that and he got it from both parents
So many of the dads literally do a double-take wanting to know what's wrong. The ones who are not stunned into silence are quickly about handling their business though! LOL!
I can't do this. My dad would've not said a word. No clarifications. He would've just smacked my mouth or if he's holding something, he would've hit me with it. My dad isn't violent but telling my mom to shut up is just never gonma fly. Never. Hahahaha
First of all my father wouldn't be asking questions on why I said shut up to my mother. Second of all that would be the last time I ever would speak at all for a very long time.
Even if mom asked me to I’d never tell her to shut up in front of dad. I’d have died right on the spot. Mom called to my daughter twice to come help her and since my daughter was on the computer she said Just wait a minute. Heard my dad’s desk chair scoot back and thought oh god she’s dead. But dad had mellowed in his old age. All he did was get up, shut the desk top computer off, turn her around in the chair and yell…Get Your Little Butt Up And Go Help Your Nana NOW. Still scared the bejesus out of her as he had never yelled at her before. I breathed a silent prayer of thanks she lived.
Every kid brave until dad stands up and takes notice, then the attitude changes fast, including from mom as well 😂. I heard a few times here the quick, panicky "it's a prank, it's a prank".
