- The Hulu series Helstrom sees Daimon and Ana Helstrom, who are based on the Helstrom characters in Marvel Comics, fighting against demons and other evil forces. Like any supernatural horror show, there is a lot of lore and backstory in play here, and there was a lot going on in the finale of the first season. In addition, the season left us hanging on some major plot points, so we’ll just have to wait to see what happens with them. From Gabriella’s transformation to the identity of the Helstroms' father, let's take a look at the explanation of the ending of Helstrom season 1.

I would be down for another season. 💁♀️ I actually enjoyed it. I mean, it was slow first 2 episodes, but it picks up for sure

Same here.. I love that they went as far as they did with horror..at some points felt like I was watching a scene out of the conjuring .. The characters development was kinda annoying at 1st and everyone in this show are hypocrites , some more than others . I think that low key was part of the narrative, that there's no clear line of black & white. Its a bunch of grays. For instance like gabby who was kind of self righteous and judgemental but when push came to shove, she turned on everything she believed in... Damian realizing he hasn't actually put his sisters feeling into consideration and Satanna finally showing shes still just that hurt little girl and needed her heart mended...and so much in this series... Abby was fckn annoying tho,now all of sudden shes a tough ass and Want to go after demons (hilarious). Shows Her faith was always weak

I don't know wats up with negative reviews, this show is great! And it's MCU adjacent with the Roxxon connection. Wether it's in an alternate timeline or not. (like Fitz explains at end of AoS finale, if it's Marvel it's connected lol... Jamie Fox Electro is coming to the MCU guys). Show is very unique corner of the mythos, I recommend to any Marvel fan

The child is never introduced as Lily. She's called Kthara. When she is asked by "father" is when we first hear the name Lili(th).

I thought this ended up being a one and done season since it was done prior to Feige tanning creative control of all of Marvel. It was a really good show. How there is more than one season.
There is not more than one season. It's called a miniseries. Official statements are not given by Feige, but he ended all Loeb projects so far.
The cancelled the second season. If they ever do make a second season it wouldn't be released for a long time. Its very likely we will never get a season two. Which sucks ass cause this show ended on a cliff hanger.
It ended with the same ancient storyline. Lucifer, Satan, the devil is behind it all, same ol same ol.
It's a shame this show is a one off because I thought it was really well done. I don't like how it ended tbh and the whole demon pregnancy storyline. But the season itself made for great tv.
Son of satan is almost like spider-man in doing team ups. expect him in Ghost rider, Dr. Strange and anything team based he can just pop up in.
The show is an origin to A really powerful character.

@@Mythical.History Yeah the child is the demon that possessed the mother. She told the doc in 1st or 2nd episode that her name was Kthara (She lied)

@@Mythical.History The same way she was conceived and was born in days. Its a show with powers and demons. Its not far fetched to believe the demons found a way to age her really fast. I doubt Lily wanted to stay in child form when she planned to give herself a human body.
This series deserves another season. Truly enjoyed it.

So sad. I found this after it was already cancelled and now I'm obsessed. And I'm obsessed with the actors portraying Ana and Daimon so it's not like I can read the comics to scratch the itch :( :(
As kids, Ana was almost set on fire, she was kidnapped, forced to aid a serial killer, saw her father kill people and bounced around in foster care. Daimon blamed himself for his sister's kidnapping, tried to commit suicide at twelve, suffered neglect from his mother, was forced to call officials on her and was bullied in Catholic school. And there's blood. Lots and lots of blood. No wonder there's no Marvel branded logo on this.
Where was the suicide attempt? I missed that.
Why does looper keep saying more in future seasons when the show was canceled before it even got released. Marvel/Disney are ending all shows and starting up new ones that they control

Helstrom was cancelled mid-december. Two months after it premiered on Hulu
Awesome show. Binge it. Unfortunately, they may not make a second season.
@swave158 for me it's bad that Feige have all the control. There were some other good series that ended and some that will never see the light of day. And he is procrastinating everything in Marvel. Thank God (or Satan) for the Helstroms

@Nelson Mendes I would like to be true, but this show was the last one produced outside the MCU and not under the control of Kevin Feige. One thing is the MCU making shows and deciding where to place them, like in HULU, other is giving the production to another company, like was the case of Helstrom...
Very underrated show
?? @ throws Daimon clear of water. Was there a directors cut of the series? Daimon falls into the water after being suspended in the air a foot for about a 1/2 min and hears the voice of his father.

Nah, popularity is not going to matter. Netflix Daredevil was popular and critically acclaimed and it still got cancelled.

Marvel will hopefully continue series and make the fear avengers type of series or movies on their own platform.
We gotta remember some big stories have not been done or gotten a far shot,. inhumans, mutants, namor, blade, ghostrider, she hulk, alpha flight, excalibur, and capt marvel (has 3 options to go in), just to name some titles .
@@h3was547 first off DISNEY plus is a family service so we NEVER gonna see gore or horror there its never gonna happend so sadly we never gonna see daredevil's/netflix or punisher's/netflix there duo both show got moments that extremly bloody or violante so i dont know im done with marvel after black widow they cant just put EVERYTHING on disney puls they gonna drive theamself into the ground
So the plot is "the Lilin get Lilith a new body" the Blood are there minus their sacred task of guiding the Ghost Riders and protecting the medallion of power, no Ghost Riders show up, and they don't say flat out that Damon and Satana are the children of Satan
That's cuz he isn't, he's just another hell lord...
Your expectations of ghost riders in a specific form is ignorant of the fact that they ride the hosts people they mark.
I keep thinking it would be cool if Helstrom takes place within the same realm as Castle Rock

Lilith would be a good fit as "mother" was often talking about her "children" being hunted and hounded by mankind.
Either way I loved the show and hope for more!

The guy at the is probably some version of Mephisto or similar. Since he is the father of Lilith (mother of all demons). Or he could be Lucifer (if they're changing him from being her husband to her father)

When it comes to shows that end on cliffhangers I NEED to know how it ends to know it's not a waste of time. Does Damon Hellstrom die? That would kill it for me. So...how does it end?

Lily(Lilith) is from other more ancient lore. A demon from jewish/hebrew oral tradition. She was the first woman given to Adam before Eve and refused him and was then cursed by her creator to forever be damned and always birth dead children. You have to research for more details.

It's not that it was cancelled. Marvels plans are 1 offs that introduce certain characters for the main movie line ups. Depending on budgets and popularity as well as the storylines will determine when each will end or get extra seasons.
Two itsy, bitsy points - 1) "Demon" is usually a rank & file position, so to speak. Someone like Daimon & Satana's (her REAL name BTW!) Father is typically referred to as either a Devil (note the capitalization!), a Demon God (again, take note!) or as was done in the source material, an Arch Demon. (Think Mephitsopheles/Dormamu/Satannish, here!) Said "Arch Demons" are several magnitudes higher in terms of both power and general nastiness. To an individual they are ALL "Call Dr. Strange and beg like a BITCH for help!!" level of horrible! (I.E. WORSE than Thanos, at least in the comics...)
But other than that (and the tragic lack of Daimon's advisor/servant/rabid fan of 60's and 70's era British TV, the demon Issac) I am LIKING what I'm seeing!

He didn't "take" her. He's guardian of her. To keep her near the only thing that can stop and contain her if she goes all evil. His power is that of the one eyed skull, to trap the uncontrollable demons energy.
It's not getting future seasons. Hell, it's not even considered part of the MCU by Marvel.

In terms of comic book tv shows (DC and Marvel) Helstrom was a pretty damn good one. It was dark and kinda matched the tone of the source material. It wasn’t too campy and goofy so I was able to suspend disbelief and actually enjoy it for what it is unlike a lot of those Netflix comicbook shows that were awful *cough cough* LukeCage *cough cough* Jessica Jones *cough cough* Defenders...the show wasn’t great but it was a good solid show. I don’t understand the terrible reviews unless it’s the ghost rider fanboys who are disappointed they didn’t get to see enough flaming skulls and leather jacket. Also the complaining about exposition dumps as af the entirety of the Marvel movie franchise isn’t full of exposition dumps. Every time Thanos spoke it was an exposition dump because of how poorly marvel fleshes out its villains(remember Hela). Marvel fanboys are never satisfied.

Hey Marvel would revive Helstrom as a Soft Reboot they should rename the series called Marvel Studios Helstrom Reborn it's sort of a continuation but with a new story and it's not season 2 the series would be a Sequel like Daredevil born again

@rina oxex Yeah but it was already under filming before Kevin Feige got creative control over Marvel. So Helstrom getting a S2 is up to Kevin Feige and Disney(Marvel) is not planning to release any shows in Hulu except Modok because of Disney +
