What was once a hidden gem is no longer. I've taken many many many trips down that creek before it was popular. Glad you enjoyed it! Be wary when the water is high, it can be deadly.
Ya man cant wait ta go with a lil more water flow but theres definitely sum pretty technical lookn sections but a lil bit of challenge makes for more fun as long as ur safe about it
@@yakstreamtv495 If you enjoy the fishing, there is another section that ends at Barrett's Mill. Rumor has it there are Muskie lurking in the creek that came from the flooding of Rocky Fork lake. 😉

@@yakstreamtv495 many trips boats an fishing there's muskie u the cliff were everyone jumps in is nice catfish hole 10-15 lb channel cat if the water ain't comin over the falls look for another spot or get ready to walk stay safe

Very nice scenic place. Would have been a much nicer video with the natural sounds of the water and nature though. To look at that scenery and have to listen to that music was kind of annoying thanks though for sharing.

What would you say would be the most dangerous part of this creek?
I went kayaking my first time in Ohio with Shawnee campground and kayak rentals out of Chilly a week ago, it was a beautiful 8 mile trip but right before I arrived back a down tree caused a very scary situation for me. Current was extra strong sucked kayak to the tree flipped it. I broke my toe and cut bruised and cut up got lodged underwater for a bit ect.
I love nature and the scenery here looks amazing. Would love to check it out sometime.

I apologize. I had not listened to the whole video. I now know you state the put-in and take-outs. I have run that section many times but usually after a dam release. I guess because you listed it as Hillsboro, I was hoping there was another beautiful section above the lake. The Rocky Fork is my favorite Ohio river and well worth the almost 2 hour drive from Columbus.
Ya i think most ppl run this section after a dam realese or rain but not so good for fishing, it was amazing back in there im really looking foward to goin back

Are there any signs at the water / on shore when going through the sanctuary? Their website says no fishing.
I've never seen any sighns.. I think their website is referring to if you park in the sanctuary but we floated in from 2 miles up stream
Would like to know more about this trip , been taking fishing a few years now and been looking for a place like this . Want to do a camping trip like this . Is there camping places on this trip ?
There are places to camp but u gotta be careful an make sure you're not on park property or anyone's land.. thanks for watching hopefully we'll see ya out there

Did you park your vehicle where you would pull out or have someone pick you up?
I know someone that lives near there that picked me up on the second trip but our first trip we had a second vehicle waiting at our takeout
I'm wanting to do a full trip again, I've done many ohio river trips

Listen at end of vid.. I tell the putin an takeout... I forget the name of the dam but it was a super easy spot.. U can run it to where it meets paint or takeout at the bridge before that

Im working on new edits now its just been a lil hectic.. my computer crashed an i had ta get a new one an i lost a bunch of footage i had ready for upload but ive been filming all yr an got one i should be able to upload tonight and sevral others to work on
@5:16 you probably broke that fishes jaw. Their jaw can't support the weight of their bodies. If you choose to show fish like this please support them by the tail too.
